Twice - Feel Special (Lo-fi ver.):
/ twice-feel-special
Intro Song: Rocket Punch - Yellow Punch
Just wanna quickly address a couple things I've seen several times in the comments so far.
There's a lot of talk it seems about the sexualisation of the minors in this group with certain parts of the choreo (you all know the bit I mean) and whether it is actually an empowering song given that and the fact that a lot of men are behind the production of both the song and the group as a whole.
Firstly, yes I do have a problem with that part of the choreo. I don't think it was necessary - especially given that they ended up changing it for performances anyway - and all it does is expose the minors to a very prevalent problem within the industry (and the world tbh) as a whole. I agree that this is something that should absolutely be talked about and criticized. But. That does not detract from the fact that this is overall an empowering song. These two things can and should exist simultaneously. We can be critical of the things that need improving to protect the younger members while also celebrating the fact that overall both this song and the group as a whole are giving a very empowering and important message.
As for the fact that grown, older men are behind the group... yeah that's obviously a thing, it's the same for most companies, and is something that should change in the future but again it's not something that should detract from the empowerment.
Empowerment is not as much about where the message originates (although that is of course can be a factor) as much as it is about where the message lands. I've already seen for a lot of people that this song makes them feel strong and powerful and ~fearless~. It is an anthem for them already, as it is for me. And that's the most important thing. Yes we should make it clear that certain aspects of this should be better (the sexualisation especially) in order to protect young girls BUT we can still do that while encouraging and celebrating the overall message. Both are important things and one should not eclipse the other.
What you feel about the song itself is neither here nor there. Like I said in the video, music is always gonna be completely subjective, people are either gonna like it or not. But the message of the song and the way the girls are delivering it is so powerful and important and I hope that won't get lost while debates rage on about the choreo. I repeat, the sexualisation of minors is an all too prevalent problem in this industry and it should be criticized always but it doesn't entirely revoke the empowerment found in this song. These things can and should exist together. It's not completely black and white.
Obviously I can't tell you what to feel, if you aren't feeling the empowerment, then you aren't feeling it. nothing wrong with that. But please be wary of how you word things so as not to bring people down who are feeling it. They are not wrong for feeling badass while listening to this song, just as you aren't wrong for not.
Preach
Luckily they changed the choreo for the live performance
The floor choreo is really unnecessary, but at least they put 0 focus on Eunchae and Garam (and even the members that got focus weren't filmed on weird angles). It could've be so much worst
Ummmm weren't women in charge of the choreography though? I swear we saw the choreographers during kurra's bday video. Someone educate me on the whole process please lmao.
@@emperor_23897 Ye women choreographed it. People are more just talking about the company itself being run by men
"Do you think am fragile" this shows their confidence and attitude. I will not just fall and break down.
I think that's for their next comeback
I don't know, this lyrics remind me of something...
Oh wait, yes, GFriend glass bead, but at least Gfriend was protected from sexualization.
@@a_g8095 define sexualization? Wtf... The 2 girl group has two different concept...
@@chadbalais8562 I'm not a teacher to teach you what sexualization (and in minors) is, there is google. Second, as I said lyrics, GFriend glass bead literally talk about they being young, refreshing, and full with confidence but strong. The concept can be show different but at the end it will give the same meaning.
@@a_g8095 it's funny you think Gfriend was protected cause they had a majority male fanbase and in fact all girl groups in Korea with male dominant fanbases are innocent/cute concept. This is sexy but it's not marketed towards men. Korean men don't like attitude lol.
💯% straight facts! YunJin is all of the confidence in an over flowing bag. The confidence cannot be contained.
I couln't agree more! they have some much swag and it feels natural, it doesn't feel forced at all.
5:45 don't worry they only do that in the mv the live performance is different choreo they definitely change it cuz some members are minor
I think they didn't changed it. I think that part is only for the MV. You can also see a little part of the real choreography of that part in the MV. They probably design that choreo only to fit the attitude and vibe of the MV. There's a lot of MV of other artists that also do that thing.
@@shashaley i noticed it too. It wasnt really part of the choreography. Because you can see that part before garam they were doing the real choreo

I still haven't got into IZ*ONE, but everytime their member(s) debut again they absolutely kill me. They really all deliver whether its solo or in a group, and Chaewon might already be my bias
Izone's members are amazing T~T
Same :(
You forgot Sakura or kkura shes also an izone and produce 48, shes one of the faces of izone along with won young, abd shes the oldest here, she change a lot from the sweet japanese girl to a mature and confident lady
26:10 agree with this move but I did watch the debut showcase and they didn't do it. I was scared because...maknae but also "get it ladies" to the others. I also appreciate that they only showed the torso even though we ALL know what they were doing. Love the song and I refused to listen to thr highligh medley or watch the teasers but now I'm off to do.
Yunjin my queen slayed it.
I had the exact same reaction to kazuha's deep voice 😂😫, it's so good
Your reaction has been the only one that was aware of who the members were going in, so I prefer your video.
Not surprised that the song is well produced. Sakura and chaewon just stunning. Really like yunjin and kazuha as well. The song is fitting with their fashionista concept but feels just a tad bit mature for the younger members to perform. But definitely, they made their mark with this debut.
Just want to say that I watched their performance of Fearless on their debut showcase, and that part in the choreo that shocked you in the music video...it's just in the music video and not part of their stage performance. So at least you don't need to think about it whenever they perform on stage.
I really liked this debut, it didn’t blow me away but I still enjoyed it. And it’s making me interested in them as a group

You are the best reactor ive ever heard. omg you just down with attitude thing that most often reactor doesn't describe.. You are correct with the impact. Like im listening to their song and i was like having the best walk of my life..
I like this song a lot....addicting from the first listen itself.....Its does not have all those excessive high pitch, highnote and noisiness, and had different approach to a song .....I love the instrumental, especially the chorus and I think its main focus was that.
I don't think I've been this excited for a girl group debut. They delivered!!
Loved the reaction and the song! Girl group songs in general can be hit or miss for me, but the song is very catchy and has a good balance of attitude mixed in for my tastes.
When I saw the practice room in the mv, I didn't think too much of it other than a statement of who they were, but loved your thoughts on it. I also liked the quick wardrobe change during that part. Just gave me the vibes of 'i know what you are expecting of me (and the group) but I don't care'. The whole song felt like that to me and is partly why I liked it so much. Haven't listened to the album yet but I am looking forward to it! Thanks for the reaction!
people i get the concerns but i think they clearly were aware
- as a lot of people already said it's only in the mv and shows literally nothing, we know what the move is supposed to be but they're litterally just pounding on the floor and you can barely recognize them with the lighting they used (i wanted to say that they only show the older ones but as i said i can't recognize them in those shots)
- we saw in the sakura video that their coreographer/performance director are two women (@soyeon_amy if you're curious), what's with the narrative about mysterious creepy old men making them do sexy moves, as if bangpd is out there making choreo
- also they are dancers, dancers of all ages do this kind of moves if they were uncomfortable with it we have no reason to believe they would have done it, they're a big group with experienced members, not exactly powerless
-watch the live show, it's really harmless
also i saw people saying they're uncomfortable with the concept, like what?? being confident and taking challenges head on isn't a cool concept?

Minors should not be doing that still. Why yall tryna defend it so much, the ppl behind it know very well what they are doing and you fans who try to act like nun is wrong are part of the problem
CANT WAIT FOR YOU TO GET TO THE ALBUM BECAUSE IT'S TRULY A MASTERPIECE
It's not about loving yourself anymore, they be doing such mature concept. Like Do You Think Im Fragile at the end takes the whole MV into another degree because that's literal women empowerment right there. That's not just loving yourself, that's empowering what and who you are🔥 and yes, ur really correct, the concept feels like more of just showing a side of the members, like their authentic side. This hits different and so fresh unlike most 4th Gen groups right now. It's chill, the voice is what makes the song like it controls the whole song, but at the same time when things work it freaking slaps and it's so fresh to listen to such kind of song and yes, to the whole freaking album? The album is just freakishly eargasm. Bang PD and the members outdid themselves, Bang PD even let Yunjin and Chaewon write the lyrics for their bside Blue Flame which is yes, connected to the upcoming Crimson Heart story by HYBE. It's AMAAZINGGG and I haven't felt like this in a debut since TXT
I definitely get what you mean about the feel. With this group, there isn't a question about confidence, but it's not just any kind of confidence - it's having star power. Many hope and dream and strive to be an idol, but I feel like these members always knew they would be idols and carry that fire in their core!
I feel empowered by this group and I'm a man
their choreo is wholesome and it's not cringy. it's s very elegant hot and sexy
It’s certainly a confident debut and a very good song…. But I would have liked an actual bridge to mix things up a bit, showcase some vocals or the rap line. It was all a bit one level but I did like it. There’s some good songs on the album too, so it’s a very solid debut. Not earth shattering, or “industry changing” just a very well produced, solid debut. I’ll be looking out to see where they go next.
I enjoyed the song and MV. It's not my favorite debut ever but that's fine. I do agree with you that the attitude of the group is what stands out to me the most. Also, their visuals are insane! Personally though, for the song, it reminds me a lot of another debut from a few months ago, XG - Tippy Toes, and I honestly like that song a lot more. I still like Fearless though, but for me this debut will be more about the attitude and concept of the group more than the song itself.
Yes! I immediately thought of XG - Tippy Toe.
Just noticed how ive and le sserafim had unique debut songs
I've been waiting for a sexy concept like this
Oooh I'm Fearless....I'm Fragile??? Hinting at 2nd album? Huhu they're so cool! I love this group...I finally found my girl group!
감동적이다가 "꽥 "효과음에 웃음....
It was touching, but I laughed at the sound effect of "quack".
Don't know why but the whole mv and song remind me of late 2nd gen and I'm digging it. This feels like something that we haven't seen in a long time and I can't wait to see more.
Was refreshing so hard for your video !!
Yuqi bias forever but Kim chaewon makes me feel things I haven’t felt since high school.
It's funny that the ones who don't like this debut are Gen 4th fans. There is a reason for it. This is different and refreshing from the same sound the latest groups have delivered.
great song !!
I dont know but i love kazuha voice ^-^
It was actually a decent tune, perhaps a little lacking in the chorus, I kinda wanted more of a pop but I think this song might be this inverse drop approach that sometimes gets employed. I suppose I had no idea what a Hybe GG was going to sound like, I suppose no one did, but it's interesting to hear just how far removed they sound for being a Source Music group. It occurred to me when watching, oh... If GFriend hadn't been disbanded, Le Sserafim would be GFriend's younger sister group. That's of course not quite true anymore. =\
The empowering message Kaia was talking about in the reaction is very apparent. I'm not entirely sold on how this feels like something new or a change in the industry. It feels like girl crush/empowerment, maybe a little more aggressive than Itzy or Everglow but certainly in the same mode. It reminded me of that song "Tippy Toes" recently by that group who's name I'm blanking on right now.
All in all, a decent debut. Nice to hear a debut song that wasn't taking the Aespa/Nmixx debut route. A change of pace. The floor dance definitely made me feel wrong for seeing it and that kinda bummed me out. Sometimes they really should bring in a test audience for stuff like this before releasing it. Surely someone would've pointed out that it was weird for a group with underage members. C'mon Hybe.
They don’t need a test group they knew what they were doing. Sexualizing minors in K-pop isn’t a new thing and it actually seems to be getting more and more common.

Love your videos! Hope you react to iKON's new song "But You"!
Kkura 😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️
Would have wanted them to showcase more the girls' vocal prowess. They have pretty good vocal but overall the song is okay. Kazuha stole me completely though. Why is she so pretty? It should be illegal. I will still be loyal to chaewon for now hahaha.
It gave me "super good b-side that you wish was a title track", which to me is a really good thing.
Who knows, if it had been a b-side, maybe the same people that are saying this song feels "lacking" (or whatever) would have said it should've been a title track.
And to be clear I do think it was the right choice for the title track, which is not to say there are no b-sides on the album that give me "this could have been _a_ title track" 👀
I love the reaction to kazuha's lines
Ok so Chaewon is my ult but the content leading up to debut had me questioning my loyalty because, well…..Kazuha
then Yunjin does this?!
Wow, it’s rare when you’re so looking forward to something & that something finally happens & it’s even better than what you hoped for!
Congrats to all 6 but a special mention to Yunjin who caught my attention from day 1 on PD48!

I agree with you. First time exploring the group and seeing that MV today and I was mesmerized with their attitude... They came strong! So strong that it just pulls you in. Power debut, hope this group will flourish in the industry! Does anyone here know the name of a certain member? the baby face girl lying on top of the red car hood, the one wearing pink? She catch my attention. I think she may be my potential bias, such a cute one.
you're hilarious but also SAME so relatable ❤
Your take on this after the first watch really opened my eyes. I appreciate you for saying that.
I loved it & the girls slay
BUT the only thing I didn't like is some parts of the choreography, I found it not appropriate for their age
I hope they change that part of the choreo during promotions
It's a choreo kpoppy, it's the way u guys sexualise a choreo that's the problem...........why would u guys see it provocative? Drinking water is also sexy kpoppy but u guys don't act like nuns about it. Stop making a deal out of an art.

@@theempireofasmr Yes they did Changed it, watch there debut showcase
All I’m getting of this, is that kpop stans are just way to used to cute innocent concepts that anything else is way to “sexual”….
Completely ignoring that people still sexualized those “cute” “aegyo” moments as well…
If people find a problem with the concept, it is most likely on themselves… because since the beginning to me it was them auditioning and all to become an idol group…. Including this mv, for me it is like the “trainee” phase.
There are minors thrusting on the ground for everyone to see. I think people have the right to feel uncomfortable about the choreo, but do you.
@@brianj439 it's not part of the choreo tho, just for the music video. They did not show the minors and they only showed torsos, like we all know what the move is but yeah... they were aware of the issue and were cautious with the scene tbh, the kpop industry has done a loooot worse before
@@brianj439 if you are uncomfortable with the scene, that's fine I mean, everyone establishes the limit of what they feel comfortable with... but the people sexualizing these girls didn't do it for that scene, they are just sick.
@@Laura-dl4gb I know it's just for the music video. And just because the industry has "done worse before", doesn't excuse anything. It's still an awkward move for minors to be doing.
Sure, people are going to sexualize whatever they can, but that part just adds fuel to the fire, and it's what most people seem to be talking about.
@@brianj439 see, and if I told you, you all only ever have these standards of being pure and non sensual to Asians?
Because westerners do it and no one says a thing. Is the issue, because they are minors or because they are Asian minors? Because the double standards have been glaring to me…
And you all focus to much on this one scene in which you all can’t actually see a thing and it is not part of the choreo…
they're good dancers and the visuals are lovely, but sadly the song itself isn't for me (i guess it's hard to come back to this genre after dreamcatcher's hard hitting comebacks but this is just a me thing). iirc two members haven't reached 18 yet. the kpop industry has always had problems with sexualizing underaged stars and i worry it's gonna happen here too (the fault doesn't lie with the girls but the production and the general attitude of the audience).
this is still strong for a debut though and the members slay very hard with their attitude. "fearless" couldn't have been more apt of a name for this song
they change the choreo
They changed that choreo
KPop is going downhill if more groups keep release noise music and combine 2 different genres in one song. I'm not talking about dreamcatcher im talking about the current top GGs right now
The way you can lay down all these points without mentioning (or should is say promoting) Dreamcatcher lol
They change the chorea already on live stage ..
happy for my girl yunjin FINALLY debuting but also uncomfortable with the choreo and concept, I am really tired of the sexualization of underage idols like this not just in this group but overall. the song is catchy but nothing special, wish them the best tho. worried about the girls especially the minors in the group because I have already seen ppl calling them sexy and just being creepy about them
how is the concept sexualized? if people are doing that THEY are weird!! and they already changed the choreo. i think we can agree minor idols debuting is not ideal but it's also not changing anytime soon. the people sexualizing minors are the freaks and the ones who should be driven out of the kpop fandom space. it's not the girls responsibility to keep themselves from being sexualized.
@@thehannahroboto making the underage girls dance like that and filming it is sexualizing and even if they changed the choreo it was still practised and filmed for the mv in the first place it only changed when music shows said they aren't allowing these moves when in the first place these parts of the choreo shouldn't be there or even suggested when there are minors in the group

AND THE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR GOES TO
I want to like this because my izone girls and yunjin plus the others are great as well and seem very talented, but the song is just fine like it isn't groundbreaking to me I heard similar songs like this before and it's the type of songs in beauty/make up ads. the girls looked good, the b-sides are good way better than the title track in my opnion
However, I have an issue with the choreo, the concept and things surrounding this comeback, to be honest like I don't see empowerment in a company full of old men making minor girls try to be sexy and approve a choreo like that. I do know that the choreographer is a woman and that they changed these moves for the music live stages but these parts changed because the choreo wasn't approved bc of the sexual parts which shouldn't have happened from the start. it makes me sad to see minor idols yet again getting sexualized and sadder because a lot of people are seeing nothing wrong with that even aside from this group, the sexualization of minor idols is too much and needs to be stopped
What you say is totally valid, but when it comes to the sexualization of minor idols, that is done by the observer, and frankly anything can be sexualized. Some will view this choreo as sexual, but others will view the candy store look as sexual. In that sense, any minor in an idol group runs the risk of being sexualized, and that begs the question whether minors should be part of idol groups at all. When saying "old men making minor girls try to be sexy", you deny those girls any agency. I am not sure if that is entirely fair to them.
@@nielshoogev1 seriously. they are treating the girls like they are puppets. look at the credits for the debut album, they are already involved in their music from the start.
@@nielshoogev1 actually yes, minors shouldn't debut in the entertainment industry and if they do it should be in things that reflect their age. and another thing it isn't denying these girls agency, it's about knowing how the industry works and about seeing how other minors, especially in the music industry were handled and what they have been through, no one should be subjected to what other idols who debuted when they minors been through, and the majority of these idols spoke when they were older at how when they were younger they didn't realize they are getting advantage of by other older ppl at the time when they were minors and honestly this will never end as long as kpop fans see nothing wrong with all of this and keep a blind eye on it making up excuses and defending these companies it's just sad

Le sserafim debut is one of the best
The lyrics remind me of GFriend galss bead, but at least Gfriend members were protected from sexualization and their music reflects the members age.
Interesting observation, I agree with your comment on GFriend's being shielded from it, it also became just part of their identity. Like even when their concept became more mature, it seemed like it was of their own doing, their choices in what to look like and how to interpret the music. Their career arc is just something I'm coming to respect and appreciate on a whole other level. It really was a coming of age story throughout their entire career arc.
I was reading some comments about Gfriend and when they went on music shows with the school uniform like clothes, there were still people who commented that they looked like a group which middle aged men would like because they were giving off a vibe of schoolgirls which men like fantasizing about...
So I feel like no matter what is done, people are still going to sexualise anyway
@@mittens2207 yeah I'm sure there will always be a part of the audience that falls into that description.

@@junglily do you know what the male gaze is
I don't want to judge you but i find it annoying that people like you who say that they are fan of GFRIEND, will support Le Sserarim, for me that means that you are ready to give money to the same shitty company who forced GFRIEND to disband and maybe treated them badly behind the scene. From what i saw and heard about Le Sserafim is that they copy GFRIEND choreo, genre and concept and even wear former GFRIEND outfits. That is just some things to think about when you want to follow and support a new group from a shaddy and shitty company like Source Music who destroyed GFRIEND.
I'm on the fence about this concept "models casting call" and the choreo when there are minors in the group. having minor teens to do certain sexual moves in the choreo is very wrong and further proof that minors shouldn't debut and if they do debut, a concept like this shouldn't be for them. I saw that the super sexual parts of the choreo got changed for the music shows because the music shows didn't approve of it, but still, ppl in hybe who are mostly old men went & approved these parts and let them be even filmed for the mv and included it that's very problematic in my opinion
I have nothing against the girls & I hope they do well, but this mv only made me sad to yet see more minor idols get sexualized
that all aside the song is catchy and the b-sides are good
its not that they didnt approved it ...the choreo has always been like that...during the part u can see the real choreo cuts
I don't really like the ending! since it's 3mins they should add 30secs more! suddenly ended like this wasn't satisfying enough....
Sooo many ppl are shitting on it already...i'm already in my defensive-mode😂
About the "sexualization"...lemme just say this...it's a YOU problem, if you think you can sexualize minors based on what they wear or dance like...YOU are the problem.
p.s. everyone is arguing about this, BUT can we please appreciate the fact, that 1. They didn't focus on Garam and Eunchae during the floor part. 2. They completely changed this part for the live performances, so it's JUST this one time, where we see it anyway😅 And smth like this doesn't happen often...so i think, that's already a good thing.
Tbh I love that choreo....them bumping their fist to the beat.....
@@chdndnznpa2319 Same, it's really satisfying😅
no hate for the girls and before anything else I say I do like the song and the rest of the album. these girls are talented and wish them the best
I just feel uncomfortable by the concept and the choreo. I hope like you said this group debut changes something big in the industry and I hope that thing would be that no more minors debut ever again because this is just wrong and they keep debuting these minors to sexualize them ever since 1st gen and nothing ever changed, it's time for that to stop
I would have seen empowerment from this song and all if it didn't look forced and if it didn't have minors sexualized like this. glad they changed the choreo for music shows but why was that included in the first place, the girls are getting oversexualized on different platforms and it's sickening to see. I feel so bad for them :(
Idk what y'all are seeing or i would say you want to see to have something to criticize bc i'm not seeing the "sexualization" at all, when i saw that part, first it was just showing their torsos and second not for a second thought that would be in the choreo it was just something for the mv, and it didn't looked forced at all, i don't understand people trying so hard to find those things and every video, yes some will have but not every video with every group
@@lucia_btm Agree. I think it looks really cool in the mv. And they didn't show the minors either. They probably changed it for the mv only anyway since it's not the official choreo.
@Berleezy’s YoUnG MasTer Lol what is in my face?? And i didn't say it was aimed to the girls, i just say that you are looking way too much into it when there is nothing to look at more than just a good mv, and the controversial part is just in a very small part of the mv where the minors are not even shown
@@lucia_btm I think what they mean is that you are saying people are trying so hard to criticize the MV when this situation would be a clear issue that people would see and not something you'll notice later on. It's not people who are spending hours on hours finding something to pick but in reality shocked many people when they saw it as soon as it popped up. The original comment, Mona, was not criticizing the MV but the choreography. Not everyone is gonna see it the same way you do, and you're not gonna see it the same way as everyone else. It doesn't matter anyway the choreography was changed when performed live. But no matter what in life everything is gonna get criticized, whether people like it or not.
It's a good mv, good debut. There we go.
For me personally the song is nothing special and i find it a little bit boring.
