I've bodyboarded for 6 months and I'm a beginner. I mastered the duckdive about 2 months ago. But today when I duckdived. Somehow I felt like I didn't come back up and the wave caught me and pulled me down under for around 10 seconds. I don't know what I did wrong.

Yeah sometimes you can get a little stuck there, try paddling and kicking with your fins down toward the ground a second or two before the wave strikes and then use your knee to push the board and point it upward, it helps if you manipulate the air in your lungs a bit to help pull you back up and keep kicking out the back of the wave while doing this, hope this helps might sound a little confusing but it works for me! Hope you catch some sick ones!
