Thanks for posting this video! I grow on a much smaller scale, so I wake my tubers up on a heat mat and just took a cutting of Sweet Nathalie yesterday. So exciting!
Ooh good point, I should have mentioned that! I will maybe have to do a farm fix video to show how I wake up small amounts indoors for cuttings. Cuttings are so fun, I love sweet Nathalie! Enjoy!
Seeing your hoophouse filled with blooming dahlias was breathtaking! So beautiful! Just a hobby gardener here, but dahlias have become a bit of an obsession. Thanks for the great information.
They have a way of doing that haha. I started dahlias as a hobby - I bought a few as a birthday present to me and, in fact, that’s what sparked this wild ride into selling flowers and serving my community as a florist hahaha!
Yesss it can be done with a few tricks! I have been doing it for a few years and I can’t wait to share because it’s such a great way to increase your sales options during the off season, bringing out of season colour and reducing stem waste too. Videos like that where I’m showing a lot of work from my archives take me a long time (like a full 40 hour work week 🫣), so it’s coming; but I need more time haha!
I potted some dahlia tubers up a couple weeks ago and I’m wondering how much growth I should see before I start giving them fertilizer when I water them

Great video! I found you through the interview you did will Jessie 😍 so glad I did 🌸
That’s amazing! It was so nice of Jessie to have me on! Thank you for being here ❤️
I add dried astilbe fronds and poppy pods to my earliest fresh spring bouquets when not much is blooming. It works great!
Yes that is so smart! I’ve done echinops in spring bouquets when I just didn’t have enough to work with haha
Can you do a video on your Dahlia varieties and even zinnia varieties thanks😮
I would love to! Thanks for the suggestion!
Looking forward to the video on incorporating dried flowers!! I was wondering if that could be done but couldn't find any info online.

I would start fertilizing once I see green growth!
