    Brilliant Debbie. So simple so quick! People don’t seem to realise they can play the video again and again if they miss bits. I liked the way this task brings together a lot of the little tips I’ve been learning from you over the last few videos. Thanks again!

    Great little project and I enjoyed the video - I didn't have any issues with the caption placement covering what I needed to see but I know everyone's experience if different. :)

    Loved the tutorial but got lost where the little squares got cut out as the subtitles totally covered the area. I’m new so need all the help I can get also the size of hoop would be a good thing to know. If I ever work out the bottom part I’m definitely going to try and make this.

      The corners are so simple...
      I learned watching videos on how to make boxed corners...I love creating shopping bags and have even made giant bags with boxed corners from silver tarps to store my camping gear in...I can stand up inside of them...lol.

    Normally I can follow your tutorials, but the speed and camera angle made it difficult to see, especially when the captions appeared. Showing the stitching on the machine did nothing to add to the tutorial, either. 😢

      Karen Higgins, try adjusting the playback speed on your device. To adjust the playback speed (at least on an iPad) look for the 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner and touch them. You should get a number of options, touch the playback speed, again a number of options, make your selection and touch the screen. You may need to try a couple of them to find the one that works best for you. Perhaps, some people like to see the actual sewing as it can make things clearer for them. Debbie has tried other camera angles in the past, as I’m sure you have seen and this one seams - excuse the pun - to be the most beneficial for both Debbie and us in her eyes. Happy Sewing.

      Ground Walnut shells are excellent for pincushions. They can be found in most pet stores.

      Try slowing down the playback speed of your device and replay as necessary ( see my response to Karen Higgins). I’m a beginner sewer as well and found the project easy enough to follow and make.

  • @juliehogg2076
    @juliehogg2076 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Does anyone know what size the embroidery hoop is?

    • @mindymakesit
      @mindymakesit 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You can make it for any size hoop. Just know the measurements and add 1/2" for your 1/4" seam allowance. Example 6" hoop would be a piece of fabric 6.5". You could make it square or rectangle/longer on one side, for a deeper bag, just remember that the bag and contents of the bag, can never weight more than the sand LOL or you will have defeated the purpose of this item by having a mess of thread snips all over your floor :) A strip of velcro on the back of the sand bag and on your desk would also help keep it secure :) Hope this helps.
