Hi Dr. Ozi, I am getting ready to apply for the EB2-NIW and I'm considering including my Google Scholar page. However, I have some concerns regarding one of the publications on it, which has received the highest number of citations. The publication was initially published in 2016 without my consent, but my name was added later after I confronted my co-authors about my contributions to the article. Unfortunately, I have noticed that some journals have either misspelled my name or intentionally omitted it. Although I have added the publication to my Google Scholar page, I am worried that the US officer reviewing my application may see it as a conflict. I wanted to bring this to your attention and seek your advice on whether or not to proceed with using the Google Scholar page. If it is typical for immigration officers to conduct a Google search, then I could add the publication to my filing, as they would still be able to see it regardless of whether or not I include it in my Google Scholar page. Please let me know your thoughts on this matter. Thank you

I submitted the petition few months ago for the EB2-NIW petition as regular application but last 2 weeks ago I decided to submit I-907 form to upgrade it from regular to premium processing. Will i be getting a confirmation receipt from uscis when they received the premium application? I've not heard from them since last 2 week that I shipped out the premium I-907 form to upgrade my petition from regular to premium processing.

Congratulations!!!! Happy to help! Are you applying from within the USA or from outside? You should have received a notice of action for the next steps. Hi Dr. Ozi, thank you for the great video. Did you start the I140 petition with your husband or you included him in the application thereafter? I just wanted to know how it works if a candidate applied for I140 petition without a dependent, but got married during the process.
Great question. I included him after my I-140 got approved. Either way you need to have evidence to show that the marriage is legit- marriage certificate, wedding pictures and evidence of a life together.
Hi, thank you for this video. You mentioned that you needed to get Employment Verification. Do you think its also important to get recommendations from your school. If yes, Why?
My employment verification letter was from my employer only because I had mentioned in the petition that I was currently employed. There are other ways to show evidence of employment outside a verification letter (i.e. employment contract, paycheck...) however remember that employment is not required for this process. I always just go above and beyond :-)

I have an approved EB2 NIW I-140 petition that NVC has begun processing via Consular Processing through the US Consulate in Mumbai India. I am currently in Singapore, but was employed at Fisk University in Nashville on OPT + H1B from 2010 to 2014. 1) I have with me a notarized photocopy of the I-797A approval notice for this H1B and the corresponding H1B visa stamp in my passport. The original I-797A was with the petitioner, my employer, Fisk University, as per the regulations. I do have the original I-94 card that came as part of the I-797 approval notice. Will I be asked to present the original I-797 approval notice for my consular processing interview, or will a notarized photocopy be accepted? 2) I have an original Employment Verification Letter from Fisk that was obtained within a month of me joining there. I also have pay stubs and W-2 forms from Fisk University, however, I do not have the original job offer letter from them. Should these be acceptable at the interview? Your advice will be much appreciated. Thanks.
You already have all you need for your interview. These other documents relating to previous employment at FISk while helpful are not required for the EB2NIW interview. Definitely take them to the interview but I wouldn't worry too much about the fact that they are copies.
Hey Dr Ozi, what if I am the principal applicant in the USA while my family is not in the USA? What happens if they are listed as dependent while filing I-140?
No problem at all. They will just have to complete their processing from your home country. While you use the form I-485 to adjust your status to permanent resident after your I-140 approval, They will go through consular processing in the home country

it depends on if you file concurrently. filing Form I-140 by itself does not require a copy of your birth certificate you need to include a copy of your birth certificate with form I-485 only the primary petitioner files for I-140 and needs to submit evidence of an advanced degree.
