This is my first mod video so i'm kinda nervous. So, this is the Daphon DF2210 Switch Mod, it's really easy, and really fast. Results are awsome! Comment below in case you have any questions or difficulties.
You can fix the problem about turn on and off manually, its easy, there is another hole underneath the switch, same as the ones at the front with the two rubber stoppers, I just turned the pedal upside-down and placed the rubber stopper with a little glue, that's all you have to do. This pedal is great, sounds great
there is no need to open the wah wah , I did exactly as you said there is another hole underneath the switch, same as the ones at the front with the two rubber stoppers, I just turned the pedal upside-down and inserted the rubber stopper (with a little glue) into the hole, simple took 15 secs. works fine, good pedal, why on earth it was designed like this ..its crazy,
@caiohleal Hello, thanks for your comment. It is a true-by-pass. Once turned off, you can hear your regular sound as if the pedal is not there. I have noticed some slight noises though once the pedal is turned off so if you're looking for the perfect clean sound you should look for something else. This is the good-ol cheap chinese version of a wah-wah pedal that does a good job. I still own is and i still even use it on live gigs. Does the job. Cheers
I watched this after reading in the manual the most WTF thing about this pedal: press the ON/OFF SWITCH under the pedal by hands. Mine had a rubber pad that pushed the switch but still didn't "switch" it; like WHAT'S THE DEAL? Then I realised the pedal didn't go all the way down if I removed the two pads of the upper piece and it wouldn't harm the lower piece (so they rendered useless). Just popped them out and now I have a full functioning pedal thanks to your idea.
@RunningGigTV Hello, thanks for the comments. The "glue" is perfectly normal. They put it there on purpose so that the pedal stays in a still position while you're playing. Otherwise it would just move freely and you wouldn't be able to get a clean still sound when playing. Cheers.
@djpedroo Hey, congrats on the purchase, it comes with the battery inside. And it's a really long lasting one. In order to change it you have to take out the screws on the bottom. Then you'll see the battery. No need for an adaptor since this wah-wah does not need too much power.
my pedal already has it in place. from the factory. the big problem i have is the huge audio spike it makes when turning on.anyone know how to fix this?
i dont get it do u still have to manually get down and turn the effect off or because of the rubber thing u just press down firmly on the side were the rubber piece is with your foot and it turns it off
@guitarshreder43 , no, that's the whole idea of the mod. After the mod, just press firmly with your foot on the side and the rubber peace turns it on or off. Simple...

Hello, I never saw this pedal here in Brazil, but its very cheap on Ebay. Could you tell me if this pedal is true-by-pass? (if you remove de power plug the sound still run clean from him?) I'm not a addicted on wah effect, so I think in this pedal as a possibility of one with low cost. But I'm afraid that its ruin my sound. Thanks!
I had trouble getting mine going as it seemed to come without the rubber block to have the pedal actually make contact with the switch. If yours may, see my video MAKING IT WORK: DAPHON DF2210.
Hey there, yeah they all come without the rubber block. That's why i made my video. You take one of the rubber peaces from the top part of the pedal (right one specifically) and you simply glue it in the hole above the button. Works like a charm.
@rockangel1967 it didn't work after the mod? Why? There's pretty much nothing that can go wrong with the pedal. It's a simple schematic, the rest is a peace of plastic.

There are better ones trust me :) i'm already using a classic Cry Baby and it's irreplaceable.

i bought this pedal for $3 at a yard sale... and it's still new. no scratch, no dents... I was so lucky I got it for 3 bucks!

Good job on some practical, inginuity. Many problems, or fixes can be made this way with some simple problem solving.

When the glue thing starts to squeek, put some vaseline on it :D it worked for me!!

@MORGAN1992FREEM4N any pedal can be used for a guitar or a bass cliff burton used a guitar wah for his bass. so yes you can use it on a bass

It’s normal it’s called gain, and it probably comes from another effect pedal if you are not plugged in the effect loop
