  • INSPIRED BY A TRUE STORY
Would you ever shame a person for their looks?
For this girl, it was like an instinct. When a heavier lady sat beside her on a bus, the gal caused a scene. She demanded the driver to remove the woman. That’s when an elderly man suddenly stood up for her, pointing out the girl’s vile behavior. But she only laughed at him. And soon, her actions would come back to haunt her.

Yeah. It’s so unfair. I’m not exactly a supermodel, but I’m not that overweight, and I have made a lot of progress in losing weight and being healthier if I do say so myself. But I still deal with insecurity about my body because of all these magazines that say you can only be beautiful if you look like a Barbie doll or something. I’m at least healthy and feel good on the inside regardless of what my body looks like. And it irks me that people of any size get discriminated for how they look, without anyone even knowing the whole story behind why they look a certain way. Maybe it runs in their family so they can’t help it, maybe they have a health condition or have to take a medication that has weight loss or gain as a side effect. And I may not be a doctor, but I’m pretty sure even skinny people can have health issues.

I absolutely love this story, its so true that people treat plus sized people different, they only see the outer and not the inside,i know this because i am also a plus sized person, and people do judge me because of my appearance, but i do not let that define me and bystanders will be bystanders,my appearance does not define who i am and what i can do and cannot do,so i tell myself cheer up,there will be better days and please smilee,!thank you!

I was fat-shamed by my classmates. I lost a lot of weight too quickly which made me go Underweight. Then I started facing skinny-shaming. I felt the pain of both sizes within a span of some months. I started to understand how it feels to get judged. I finally defeated my fear of calories and I have started eating well. Now I am quite healthy and happy.

The actress looks pretty healthy compared to a lot of bigger people (she has healthy muscle tone, pretty good complexion, great posture, good energy, a beautiful shape. You can tell she eats a balanced diet and exercises well. She does NOT look like those who eat crap and rarely work out, and those people come in all sizes and all look weak and just unwell).

I read of comments, and most are very hurtful. I used to be a size 28 but I am in size 20-18, I have arthritis in both of my knees when I was 13, my knees would dislocate and I was a lot thinner back then, in my early 30's my back became really bad, I was diagnosed with regenerative disc disease, and I have 2 protruding discs in my neck, plus nerve damage in my foot caused by a back spasm that traveled down my back into my foot. I used to be bed ridden for 3 years, cause the pain would be between levels 8-10 every single day 24\7. Sometimes the pain was so bad, I couldn't even get up to go to the bathroom cause of the pain. I have tried a lot of different diets, I got sick of how I felt, it was no life, so I started walking in my home every day for 10 mins, till I could walk for a full hour and swim on top of that. Then in 2018 I went back to college to become a Personal Trainer so I could help others, in 2022 I got a job working retail, but I had to quit in 2023, the pain was attacking my back, neck, thighs, hips, my abs and obliques. I have not been the same since, exercise is very hard for me right now, sometimes I have to use my walker or my wheelchair, people who say that obese people have no shame, or are lazy or eat too much, have never felt this type of pain before. If your body is physically in pain for a long time, it starts to cause emotional pain and mental pain. I never wanted to be obese, I never asked for this. I have been to so many doctors I cant tell you how many, they all have told me different things I have lost hope with the medical field, plus the insurance companies are a joke, I can't tell you how many times I have been denied treatment. Where is the compassion and empathy in these comments? You do not know what another person is going through till you have put yourself in their shoes.

Trying to brainwash us that overweight is hot, attractive and appealing shouldn't be the agenda. Beauty is overemphasized. And what is inner beauty? That she is nice to you? Smiles at you? Pleases your senses in some way? because it is all about you right? What you like and what you dont. What about her health? For example I have to lose weight to be qualified for surgery and until then I have to live in physical pain. Those extra pounds were never comfortable. Who cares if they think I'm a nice person when I'm in pain? You are still glorifying physical looks by bringing in fashion, modeling and feeling attractive. Sure it helps those overweight woman to feel good about themselves but it doesn't make their body healthy. Of course nobody should be fat shamed but shouldn't be body worshiped either like the woman on the cover of the magazine. A picture doesn't show inner beauty. Even the meanest person can smile.

ok i had to share my experience after seeing some comments on how this video is normalizing obesity. Whereas i believe it urged people to treat everybody with compassion and not shame someone based on their outer appearance. Becz outer beauty changes from time to time just one simple accident or disease might change it whereas inner beauty remains the same. So yeah reposting the comment here :
How does bodyshaming someone is a motivation?? U think straight up bullying someone will do the thing, say for eg u got a cut on your finger and someone is shaming u for getting it and treat u differently and bully u saying its for your betterment.
Instead i believe in treating the wound rather than attacking the person.Ik wound and being fat isnt quite the same. You see ik u want the other person to be healthy but shaming them isnt right u can shame only a person who isnt close to you. When u see ur closed ones getting treated wrongly just becz of some weight, its hurtful. In my experience i had a friend at my school who was fat,she was bullied so much that she was never able to talk to anyone. But when i got to know her better she told me she was on various medications due to diseases which she had from birth. The line she told me shattered me she wanted to commit su*cide at the age of JUST 10.Her life has been difficult from the moment of her birth and in ur word the motivation of fatshaming just makes life of others so damn difficult.
I still vividly remember how my schoolmates treated her so badly, there were so many bad kids who beat and was impolite, rude but no people treat only the ones with different beauty so disrespectfully.I talked to that one student for just 10 mins only when she got an epilepsy in front of the whole school and everybody stayed away from her saying its disgusting.I was the only one to help her and thats when she talked to me for the first and last time.Later she changed the school. So yeah u can sugarcoat fatshaming as a motivation but at the end u cannot escape from the reality of how much it torments other and is even a crime in some countries. So know the power ur words and use it wisely.Reassuring and comforting words are far far better and motivating than shaming.
You know the person only not their story. So treat everybody with compassion. If u arent able to support them atleast don't tease them. In my case i was a fresher to that school and i knew that girl for just a month.I couldnt help her much as i was just 10 years myself. And now looking back i am able to understand how she felt more deeply. So maybe a 10 min of matured conversation is better than years of bodyshaming to understand what one is going through.
Hope ur reading this from somewhere my dear friend,be healthy and happy♥♥

@@DramatizeMe.Special My mother in law is obese, my husband is obese and even though I am thin and my baby daughter was born thin unfortunaley she is obese too even though I am very careful with her diet. Genetics is not a simple matter.
When we eat, insulin gives the order to the fat cells to open and eat. Then the fat cells sends leptin to the brain so the brain knows that they are full. The brain cells READS leptin and then the brain sends Leptin back to the fat cells. Leptin gives order to the fat cells to open and empty themselves. To do so fat cells produce ADIPONECTIN.
But in my family brain cells DON'T READ LEPTIN. So leptin don't go back to the fat cells. The fat cells don't get empty. So the next time they will eat the fat cells becomes larger and that causes inflammation inside the fat cells. Then fluent retention so the water can go inside the fat cells and stop inflammation. But the water inside the fat cells mixes with fat and become fat too creating more inflammation. So you get fat even if you drink water. It's a loop that never stops. No matter how hard you are on diet you can't quit drinking water, you can't stop inflammation. Omega 3 does a little help but not any solution.
In the meanwhile fat cells produce constanlty Leptin to notify the brain. Leptin should be between 5-11 on normal people. My husband's is 73 and my daughters is 36. I am afraid of her kidneys because she only has drops of urine.
Also your brain don't know that you eat so to protect you from starvation your body goes into starvation mode meaning you storage everything you eat and your metabolism is getting very low making you more fatter.
For five years major pharma companies tried to get the licence from the World Health Organization to make a pill of ADIPONECTIN to bypass the problem. If you get Adiponectin the fat cells can open and get empty so no more inflammation even though you are just prone to get fat because you are in starvation mode by your brain. Unfortunately World Health Organization said NO with a pityful excuss that they don't know the complication of that pill but in reality it's because everyone can take that pill and eat as much as they want and not become fat.
I don't hope for my family to loose weight any more but only to stop gaining more weight.
So now you know that it's not than a 10% simple prone to get fat on many cases. It's 90% severe genetically obesity.

What people don't know is, many obese people get fat since they were a child, and really its not their fault, yes its the parents fault for allowing their child to turn obese. By the time they turn into adult it will be harder for them to lose weight because their metabolism is not used to burning fat, compared to those who didn't grow up obese. Also all those extra skin will be very hard to get rid off when they do lose weight because its been there since they were a child.
I know this because me and my older brother were really fat when we were kids, but I managed to lose weight earlier because I was diagnosed with respiratory disease at 4 year old which causes me to lose weight drastically, meanwhile my brother grew up obese and my parents didn't even care about exercise. Its much harder for him to lose weight now because he need to exercise thrice as hard compared to me.
Even after losing weight I still have all these lose skin and scratch mark from being fat as a child. I'm 175cm tall and weights 75kg now.

Let's be honest here, the girl isn't curvy but indeed fat... There's a big difference between curvy and fat, there's nothing wrong with being fat if you're comfortable with your body and yes, it's wrong to body shame any person, whether fat or slim.
But calling fat girls curvy is an insult to curvy ladies because curvy ladies usually have slim bodies with wide curves like many South African women.

This was an awesome video. I’ve been body shamed. I lost 67 pounds and people I know said I was too skinny. I believe skinny shaming is as bad as fat shaming. I love these true stories. Thank you. P.S. my doctor is very happy I lost weight. All my numbers have gone down I.e. cholesterol, A1c, blood pressure, etc. etc..

Great video beauty comes in every shape and size and not everyone can lose or gain weight for a number of reasons nature is always going to make big people and little people the only way to end body shaming is to accept people for who they are and the word "fat" shouldn't be derogatory it should be objective that word is only pejorative when you allow people to make you feel like your body type makes you less of a person no matter what your body type is own it and the beauty that counts is on the inside

Yup like seriously annoying. I can't relate to this as a skinny person but I still doesn't like it when they shame people like that. I have a teacher that is like a mother to me. She and I know each other ever since I was little so it hurts me to see other people who is her weight getting body shame.

I think this episode is a great example of Anastasia's acting range. The inhumane cruelty her character displayed was absolutely convincing. Despite being gifted with beauty herself, I can only imagine the actor would never treat anyone like that in real-life. This must have been a reach for her., as convincing as it was. Great actress. I hope Dramatizeme features her often.

What a lovely video. I can only agree. You have no control over your hormones, your gender, your size, your intelligence , skin color, race. No one shall ever be judged by things, they have no control of. But you always will have the control to chose if you are being an "ace" or not....

I have been reading the comments here, 8 out of ten people are fat shamming in a polite way and assuming as lazy people become fat... That not true there are several reasons physical medical psychological and emotional too... Tats why they are trapped in that position and they can't help themselves or not in a state of mind to get rid of it .... Please don't judge anyone!!!!!
