2024 and this is still incredibly emotional to reflect on. The word "hero" gets thrown around a lot but to each and every single member of the emergency services, especially the fire brigade, who attended on that day; they are absolutely heroes.
One went on SAS Who Dares Wins and said he had PTSD because he and some others had to turn back because it was so bad and there was a resident trapped and they had to leave him there and he died. He looked devastated can you imagine having to do that! They are the pride of the emergency services
Shame on the 100 or so idiots who disliked this video. And shame on all you future dislikers - hope this comment finds you, and stings at the deepest recesses of your moulding hearts. God bless our emergency services! No shame is on you, your tears give our nation the strength and compassion it needs! An example to all in their duty to serve humanity!
The firefighters and police told the government to give at least £1.5 million to each family that survived. The police and firefighters pay their respects on 14 June every year. The building instructor should be the one to blame same with the council. The people of Grenfell have been complaining to fix the electricity and widows 6 months before the fire happened. @@user-nw7ln2lx1m well I can tell you now that the risk of death or serious injury would be so great that it would never get past planning stages. Before Aerial appliances arrived some time in the 60's, there was some form of trampoline type of devices which involved firefighters holding them. Any jump higher than 3 floors often resulted in serious injury or death to those jumping or the firefighters below. Hence why they were phased out and became obsolete. Even if something like that could be used, you still had falling flaming debris to contend with, and it would have to be so well controlled that two people jumping in close proximity to one another would likely result in death for both.
They weren't to know it was clad in something illegally inflammable. In a large tower block like this a fire should be contained to one flat, or a floor. If you leave you risk dying of smoke inhalation. If the building was legal and safe it would be the correct advice to give. Unfortunately it was not and still not one prosecution of the companies involved.
Even if true, so what? Why should that matter? There are hundreds of other families of different backgrounds living in substandard housing with the highly flammable cladding, yet all you care about is nationality??!
Those brave emergency workers I take my hat off to you all that put your lives on the line everyday to keep us safe..
the irony is their the ones being blamed for it
Words can’t describe how amazing these people are
These people are heroes, They saved over 100 residents in that building i salute👏🤝
Total Respect to all the firefighters.I pray you never have to face a fire like that ever again. Good bless.
How have 99 people disliked the video that is 99 people who certainly don’t have a heart
They do have hearts or else how would they be alive
Because they're scumbags
It's because they are rude
@@lukewarmfacts5107 hearts but not souls.
to be fair.. some of them didnmean to dislike the Heroes. but misunderstood the dislike to the tragedy.

I wonder how they are coping with their trauma now
Most of them probably have PTSD hopefully they got the help they needed ❤️

And theres no death penalty for the negligence that helped the fire spread.
Always asking for the reasons, why people give a "thumb down" on things like this🤷🏻♂️
Rest in peace
Heroes ❤️❤️🇬🇧

Look up Doreen Lawrence's comments and contrast and compare. If these brave men could have done more, they would have.
Shame the Tory government doesn't show them this kind of respect!
they should never have to apologise

Did the police cry I hope so show remorse like the firefighters
Why would they show remorse, they hadn't done anything wrong
What have they got to show remorse for??
I think hero is pronounced like it is in heroin.
where is the equipment fire brigade air mattress, firefighter
Air matress? You really think jumping out of a building and hope that you can land on some matters? Good luck with that.
