Illegal weed doesn't stop people from smoking it, but it does make it harder to get edibles which are healthier to ingest instead of smoking. Making it legal does prevent people from wasting their lives in jail or even just fined and needlessly in court. Weed gets taxed AND we don't need as many cops arresting people for smoking a damn plant, double win.

I never said that being legal was going to make everyone run right out and by some pot, although I would guess from what I see in the way of alcohol consumption, 20 to 30% probably will.. That, however is not the problem that I foresee. I see many adults using weed more freely and more teens and even children gaining easier access to it. So you'd be in there, doing your business, and this woman walks into the bathroom and starts cleaning the urinals around you and waiting for you to finish before cleaning the one you used. When I lived in Venice California there used to be this weird blind dude who would come into the women's bathrooms and hang out. People would say to him all the time, "You know you're in the women's restroom, right?", assuming because hes blind he didn't know any better.. He would always say , "It's's OK I'm blind. I'm 68, and if you haven't heard of them, I'd recommend the Scathing Atheist guys (Noah, Heath, and Eli), who do The Scathing Atheist, God Awful Movies, and Skepticrat podcasts. Just if you're looking for humor combined with a serious concern for the world's ills (but with laughter). Their humor is, indeed, _scathing,_ and I was a bit surprised at the number of dick jokes at first, but it's refreshing. And I really need that kind of thing after reading or watching the news these days!

Minor item: As a "handicapped person", it's handy when a "handicapped" restroom is also multi-gendered, as my wife feels "strange" following me into the Men's room to assist me (Or to go get help if I should happen to fall and not be able to get up). It's a real (minor) problem which a less-self-assured woman could have difficulty with, NOT that she's likely to "see" anything "new" and too disturbing to her.

i think disabled bathrooms are generally unisex because having a seperate one would just leave both very underused. don't understand why we need seperate bathrooms though.
As a disabled person, disabled bathrooms are used in frequency directly correlated to the accessibility of the place. If a place is not very accessible, then the bathroom wont really be used.
Also not in Genesis and developed from later interpretation of it: "Abrahamic monotheism" and the very idea of associating that Mesopotamian man with monotheism, which is more of a Zoroastrian thing from Persia and something the ancient Egyptians tried once.

Hey I live in Portland. The only reason you see so many homeless here is because we don't hide our homeless. We don't chase them away like most other cities. This allows the rest of us to see it and motivates us to help. You know a bit like that guy in that book they profess to believe in.
So all this help has reduced the population of homeless or just encouraged more to come to the city? San Francisco is a shithole because of all the homeless. Not sure what the answer is but it isn't just letting them take over the city.
Ken Ham's grim attitude can be called Cultural Despair. You can trace its development from the nineteenth century (Nietzche, Carlyle, and Lefebvre) through to the Nazis and to the current far right religious (of all 3 Abrahamic faiths.) Excellent book by Fritz Stern on the subject. It's basically people who hate modern industrial and consumer society, which makes people comfortable enough that they don't fear an angry deity. There are downsides to industry and consumerism, of course, but it gives nearly all people some degree of individual agency and fundamental dignity.

In my household, all bathrooms are any-gender and things work well, as long as I remember to leave the toilet in her preferred configuration.

Minor item: As a "handicapped person", it's handy when a "handicapped" restroom is also multi-gendered, as my wife feels "strange" following me into the Men's room to assist me (Or to go get help if I should happen to fall and not be able to get up). It's a real (minor) problem which a less-self-assured woman could have difficulty with, NOT that she's likely to "see" anything "new" and too disturbing to her.

A lot depends on how you choose to define "millennial". If you use it as a catch-all for everyone younger than "baby boomers", it applies to everyone under 66, and ceases to be much of a category, yet I have heard this definition used in serious discussions just a few days ago.

As a disabled person, disabled bathrooms are used in frequency directly correlated to the accessibility of the place. If a place is not very accessible, then the bathroom wont really be used.

Hey I live in Portland. The only reason you see so many homeless here is because we don't hide our homeless. We don't chase them away like most other cities. This allows the rest of us to see it and motivates us to help. You know a bit like that guy in that book they profess to believe in.
So all this help has reduced the population of homeless or just encouraged more to come to the city? San Francisco is a shithole because of all the homeless. Not sure what the answer is but it isn't just letting them take over the city.

You can trace its development from the nineteenth century (Nietzche, Carlyle, and Lefebvre) through to the Nazis and to the current far right religious (of all 3 Abrahamic faiths.) Excellent book by Fritz Stern on the subject. It's basically people who hate modern industrial and consumer society, which makes people comfortable enough that they don't fear an angry deity. There are downsides to industry and consumerism, of course, but it gives nearly all people some degree of individual agency and fundamental dignity.
