The Range Rover Velar, introduced in 2017, brought a new dimension to the Range Rover lineup, positioned between the Evoque and the Sport models. This video shows the exact difference between 2023 Range Rover VELAR and 2024 Range Rover VELAR.
2023 model is much better than 2024 model.. You don't have to be too minimalistic for this price.. The center console is plain with no physical buttons.. With only one tab in the dashboard . 2023 model had an additional screen for ac controls etc with physical knobs which was really good.. Designers should bring back the physical buttons which is easy to use while driving.. Always 2023 model..
I have concerns about the setting of the operation panel of the 2024 model: without physical buttons/knobs, adjusting the temperature of the air conditioner, changing the driving mode, heating and blowing air to the windows, etc. when driving on the highway, you have to operate on the LCD screen, and you have to turn through different menu interfaces, which is inconvenient; Moreover, the adjusted (such as) driving mode, after a while can not be sure whether it is or not, but also turn back to that interface to see, not as good as physical buttons, see where the indicator light stays, at a glance. These invisibly place an additional burden on the driver.
My husband is a police officer and he shares this opinion. These cars are becoming much more difficult to manage as a driver and distracting, ergo dangerous
The reason the 2023 has exhaust tips is because it’s a V6. Only the V6 and V8 have exhaust tips. The 4 cylinder turbos don’t have exhaust tips. The 2023 also has all digital dash as an option. It comes standard with R Dynamic package and up.
I prefer the 2024’s exterior and the 2023’s interior, this integration would make it a perfect car ever! I really regret that I chose to wait one year for the upgrade instead of getting one in 2022, really😢 And now I’m a 2024 GLC coupe owner but I will always stop and spend a minute appreciating the most beautiful car forever
@@VagabondBuilds sorry I might make you confused, I mean I like the exterior of 2024’s velar, but the interior doesn’t fit my taste, so when I saw the 2024 velar was upgraded, I chose to get a GLC coupe since I can accept both its looking and interior
I think lighting, seating changes are good and screen change is also good but gear knob section should be same to 2023, that will b give it more enthusiastic look inside
The 2023 all the way. Those double screens make the car feel so rich. What were they thinking for the 2024. So cheap looking. I would rather get a BMW or a Benz. They really make the interiors so rich and expensive looking. A lot of luxury with those brands. Velar, get your S**t together for 2025 and beyond!!!!!!!!!
Useful video. Hubby wants me to start thinking now about my next upgrade so trying to gather as much info as I can and appreciate these comparisons. Love that there’s a full sized spare; hate those red calipers. I’m so sick of these companies adding red accents for the psychological “sporty”factor … and Really not a fan of the step back they’ve taken with these interiors. They claim it’s minimalist but then why no cup holder covers for uniformity? I think it’s just a way around knob control engineering 🤔 Also concerned about reliability since I’ll be doing a LOT of driving over the next few years, and moving to NH, so wondering how this will handle on mountain roads - can be steep even in the southern portion of the state - and of course snow. If I didn’t currently live in a city and know I’ll be doing city driving in the future, eg in/out of Boston, would probably jump to the sport… hmm. Anyone driven these that can advise? Especially compared to an overland grand Cherokee which I’m familiar with?
Thanks for the review. I’ve been between the 2024 Bronco Badlands or 2024 Velar. Curious to see if LR will implement the updated version of wireless Carplay where ALL of infotainment system and displays will be in iOS-looking style. Now that will definitely sway my decision. I would love that!
I own the previous model which is much better than this one in terms of build quality and luxury. The leather seats are much better with Alcantara inserts, the audio system with aluminum speakers and above all a fantastic double touch panel with physical buttons. I'm sorry but Land Rover has only increased prices by 30% reducing the overall quality. I think it will be my last range rover then I will move on to another brand
When you say the previous model do you mean 2022? Or 2023? I’m interested in a Velar and trying to figure out differences. Between the two shown I think I prefer the 2023. Any big differences between 2022 and 2023?
That they take the climate control buttens away in this Velar and the new 2024 is a shame! The 2023 RR Sport had one atleast. Dont understand it, handling everything over the touchscreen takes away the driving focus! Not good. The design of the Velar and RR Interiour and Exteriour is fantastic
A/C and heater controls on a touch screen are dangerous as you have to look at them to change the settings while driving. Stupid change and no advantage at all.
Well I can’t even get a confirmation my build will go through with the dealership allocation! Would love for @landrover could help. Getting hung up on with customer service. Not giving me confidence to move forward with my purchase
Driving nice vehicles like these in n Baltimore, DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, New York City, Atlanta, and Los Angeles can get you car-jacked and killed. 🤣
these cars are expensive and prestigious and so i still dont understand why they are unreliable. i mean all that money and they still cant get things right like toyota?. and why hasnt toyota designed similar alternatives. the velar's shape and interior are nice, nothing toyota cannot "replicate" and make better without "stealing" the exact design
This guy really doesn’t know much about the cars he reviews. First of all, the “inlays” on the dash for the 2023 MY are trim specific. The HST and other trims in the ‘23 MY have smooth dashes with stitching without the 3D style print on the dash “inlays” he referenced. Second of all, the gauge cluster in the 2023 had the option, as it has since the Velar’s inception, to be a full 12.3 inch digital gauges cluster as seen in the Arroios Gray 2024 example here in this video. The calipers were also available painted on certain trims for the 2023 model year. The illuminated door sill plates can also optionally be changed.
🗣The 2024 Velar Just Does'nt Hit The Spot For Me Like The 2023 Velar!! The 2023 Model Deffo Looks More UP-MARKET/LUXURIOUS Then The 2024!! Hate The Bland Cheap Looking Dash/Interior Of The 2024!! Sorry 😯🚘
I agree but I do like the two cup holders next to each other without the little change or lip balm whatever holder and the larger compartment thingy on the 2024 but would rather have physical controls/knobs over the 2024. So I like a little mix of the two but since that’s not an option I’d pick 2023. I’m looking to get a Velar and trying to figure out key model and year differences. Wondering about the 2022 in comparison to 2023

2023 model is much better... Sold My 2024 .. went back to my 2023
Buttons and knobs easier to use.
@@seeyouto1 2022 Model Is Better than 2023.
I’m just looking at prices here in Europe
Old used model 2020 is almost twice cheaper than new one
Without any visual difference

Very good and intuitive point you have honestly. Never seen that. Hopefully that will be of help. Maybe it doesn’t bother others…

The interiors of ‘23 version are better… too plastics in the ‘24 version.. it looks like cheaper, not premium
Would you say that it’s a personal preference..? Do you see it growing on you?
The Velar stays a beautiful car. We have the 2023 and I like the dashboard more than the 2024.
Would you see the 2024 grow on you?
Your videos are very useful when you need to compare the models and see the differences. Thanks.
Appreciate the compliment. We are looking to go forward with that because many like them. Please share.

The best, but those blinking lights are only blinking because of the filming.
Thanks from Egypt
Nice!!! Haha that would be super cool to visit honestly haha
Thank You Almighty God I will buy some for myself
Nice to know your pockets are deep haha
This is an informative comparison, just one thing, it’s brake caliper not “caliber”.
Thank you for the support and correction 😅. Appreciate it
