Hey guys, some details I missed when publishing this video. Minimum requirements to use this tool are: People who have generated at least 10,000 images People with yearly memberships People who have been monthly subscribers for the past 12 months The MJ team have a complete write up here if you're looking for more details: www.midjourney.com/updates/external-image-editor
This is all Insane!! Def better than Photoshop Generative Fill, incredible they way the lighting and shadows and color matching flows Fingers crossed I’m up to 10,000 images 🤞🏻
This new Midjourney editor really seems like a game changer, especially with how it matches lighting and shadows so seamlessly with the original image, something Photoshop struggles with! It’s amazing to see the AI now offering a sophisticated inpainting and retexturing tool that competes with other advanced editors like Ideogram. The only catch is the 10,000-image or yearly subscription requirement, but it’s worth it to try for those with access. This tool will definitely redefine AI image editing standards.
@@WadeMcMaster You bet, will do if it comes up. Getting into POD after 6 months of drilling down a number of campaigns. Not sure where the is heading but the new editor should definitely change the pipeline.
Seems like one is unable to zoom in and out on the image to inspect details. That's an issue for me, especially for high res images. They should implement zooming on the middle mouse button instead of using it for scrolling through images.
Going to edit on the side bar or maybe you mean minimum requirements: 10,000 images or an annually paid membership or a paid membership that's been active for over a year
Midjourney is really quite behind on this as most other platforms have had it, but it's great to finally see it on my as MJ generally creates top tier images
I've had mainly rubbish results. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong but changing a background for me doesn't really work very well at all. It seems to totally ignore my prompt and generally just does a version of what I'd erased. Weird, cos MJ is so good I was expecting this to work a great deal better
@@WadeMcMaster I found that if you're not too careful with the Erase brush it'll do that. If I'm a lot more careful then it seems to be fine. They need better brushes and ideally a better way to extract characters and objects from the scene. They also have guideline issues when it comes to changing women's clothes. But when it works it's brilliant.
MJ 6.1 Sux. No Effing way that I'm wasting another $30/$60 on this shite. They made strides via 5.2, then went two-steps back with 6.1. Make improvements, give me a free week, or I'm all-in with Leonardo.
A fair call mate. Different people like different storms and Leonardo is one of the best imo. I encourage going where you are best served. Speaking of which, I need to get back I to making more vids for Leonardo on this channel!

It's awesome! Imagine this, with Photoshop's layer system and image tools - would be unstoppable.
Dude they had this on the back burner the whole time, jeez man, their on a another level.
About time haha. It's great to finally see
Definitely will be checking this out!
Have fun :)
@@WadeMcMaster Thank you ☺️
I think with the gears example, you still had cyberpunk goggles as the prompt.
Oh did I? I didnt notice haha. You're right that it does show it works.

I'm imagining Adobe engineers running like crazy because of this
Haha let's hope so, imagine midjourney inside of Photoshop.. 🤯
It should include an automatic background removal system or automatic subject cropping in the editor.😊
Mate, that'd be a great add on. I agree
Great vid, thanks!!!
Thank you!
Mid journey is hands down top tier 🫡
They're really working to maintain that spot :)
Crazy 😀 thank you so much!
No worries mate! Thank you
This is epic!!!!!!
I agree, a big step for Midjourney!
Indeed, a game changer. Slick..
Definitely next level! :)
super! thanks a lot
No problem mate, thank you for checking out the video!
nice, thank you for sharing
No problem, thank you!
Thank you for info update🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
No problem, thank you!
Hi 👋
Exciting!
I agree mate! Definitely :)
Do you know if this feature uses GPU of your subscription? I mean its free or does it use your monthly "credits"? Thank you❤
Very confident it does use GPU time mate
Take that, Adobe! LOL Thanks for posting WMM! EDIT: Would like to try this out for images I don't have the best aspect ratio on.
Thank you mate! That would be an interesting test. I feel like narrower images constrain visual patterns so I'd love to hear how you go!

Yeah it definitely has some limitations, this is a big factor for Photoshop vs mj
Hi, can you do all the same type of editing with one of the midjourney images also
Definitely mate! You just go to the image on the website under organize, click on the thumbnail and then open the editor in the bottom right corner
A game changerrrrr!!!! 🔥🎨
Bloody awesome :)
Super 👍
I agree mate!
Is there an AI picture generator that’s not so tight about what it generates not censored I mean
Some stable diffusion at forms, but not all. I don't have any specifically though sorry
Woah! Game. Changer!
Yeah mate! Insane step up!
Bro your are amazing , I've photo could edit it for me pls
Thank you mate! Unfortunately I don't offer design or photo editing services anymore though sorry :/
need to have generated 10k images? it says to me that the requirement is to buy a yearly plan
I missed that before publishing sorry mate
Can we access this editor from midjourney's discord?
Unfortunately not.
Wait what's the first step?
Going to edit on the side bar or maybe you mean minimum requirements:
10,000 images or an annually paid membership or a paid membership that's been active for over a year
Censorship is already at a fun-destroying level. I can't add a clown hat or put someone in a jail cell.... I'm disappointed.
I didnt realize it was even that strict, putting someone in jail shouldn't be an issue in my opinion - I wonder why they police that.
I guess a clown’s pocket is out of the question then.
@@edwardferry8247 🤣🤣🤣
NightCafe
10,000 images. That’s a lot. 😵💫
I missed a few points there:
An annually paid membership or a paid membership over 1 year and ld also grant you access
i think adobe als had te inpaint feature before the midjourney
Midjourney is really quite behind on this as most other platforms have had it, but it's great to finally see it on my as MJ generally creates top tier images
Nice. So in theory someone could upload a photo of themselves lying in bed and then add Scarlet Johansson into it? .... asking for a friend..
Theoretically... I think everyone is trying that right now aren't they? Haha

That's really odd mate. I had some issues earlier with functionality (but not the quality) it may be having some teething issues

The future is now - midjourney is science fiction becoming flesh! 🥳🤩
Not wrong! Things are only going to accelerate :)
Need this one for xxxx 😂
Haha
I had fun remodling ny home last night haha
Haha that's cool! Sounds like fun :)
Fuck yeah!
🤘
You need an annual account on Midjourney to upload your images : (... way to expensive for that lol.
I get ya, a big hurdle but that barrier will come down eventually
Wow
Thats that I said too!
the tests I have tried have been dreadful.
That's disappointing to read mate. I've found it works well so far.
Leonardo has been able to do this for a long time...
True, but for people who prefer Midjourney, this is a big deal
How much mj subscription?
Midjourney sub starts at $10 per month - right now you need a minimum of 10,000 images generated to access this feature, but that will come down.
How long does it take to generate 10k images?
And what it the best AI tool to edit pictures of myself?
Thank you!
@@WadeMcMaster i think u can use it if u pay yearly membership also
@@peterschadler8995 I generated 10k+ images in a few days. The catch is that I have ADHD so it may be harder for neurotypical people.
@@eaveyyevae7620only if you’ve had a paid membership for 12 consecutive months
Photoshop, poor once beloved software gets yet another blow lol. I would love a app version for MJ so I can generate while I'm on the road.
I hear ya, I'm sure it'll all come in time, hopefully sooner rather than later
@@WadeMcMaster lots of flagged words in the edit section. Flames, Bloody, crucifix... There goes my halloween editing
That's disappointing :/
Wow 😮 this is awesome. Goodbye Photoshop 😅
I've said it before, midjourney inpainting in Photoshop, with the added layers, filters functions ps has, would be an unstoppable force
not perfect yet by any means but already far better than Photoshop generative AI with images.
Photoshop, the wrost lol
Yeah, Photoshops gen fill has limitations, if you could plug Midjourney into Photoshop it' be awesome as you would then have layers, filters, etc
Is it really worst? I have seen prety awesome results with firefly.
I think gen fill is great for somethings but not for others. I still use it quite a lot
Can you monetize MJ images if its been gen filled on Firefly or post edited in Photoshop?
feels as bad as leonardo ai
I've found it to be a very smooth experience for what it is. Hopefull y this kind of tool continues to evolve
@@WadeMcMaster honestly your edit looks crappy (not your fault it's what it's for now) nonetheless you need to be objective
tried to watch but the image was so hideous looking at the inside of his mouth! Why not pick a picture you can haandle looking at?
I did lol
