A left eye of darkness and a right eye of light. **Spoiler** Bayonetta is the left eye of darkness. So it’s not necessarily significant, moreso an incredible amount of detail from whomever made the trailer.
This trailer was the first thing I saw from Bayonetta, and I loved her inmediatly. Now, after that absolute dumpster fire called Bayonetta 3's ending... watching this again, truly cleans my soul.
I just finished Bayonetta 1 and started with 2. Bayonetta 1 is an action game masterpiece in every way. Bayonetta 2 is looking promising as well! Highly recommend these games.

This is just an art direction. It's not that complex. It's not a graphics problem. They just chose not to go with this art direction.

I'm playing Bayo 3 rn and it's wild how far we've come. i remember seeing this trailer in the 8th grade and showing 2 of my best friends at the time (the 3 of us were weebs and DMC kids 😆) now here i am in my early 30s and the Bayonetta Fanbase is as strong if not stronger than at launch and Bayonetta is rightfully considered an Icon.
Its pretty ironic how Bayonetta is a "Witch" even she having any reference with any kind of Witch (Witches arent even suposed to be allied with Demons by the way.) Plus the REAL Witches are described tob be old and ugly, Bayonetta is the opposite.
The camera swooping underneath her and then following her twirling through the air will always give me chills 😭
