Yes I have the little limes down my driveway been about 5 years so beautiful,I prune them every spring iam in zone 7-8 in Abbotsford ,your yard is so beautiful pBc Canada
Wow Lady! The lil Lime gets 3x3? I have mine between 2 limelights. I was thinking of taking it out but your information changed my mind. My arborvitaes are looking the best ever, thanks to your arborvitae tutorial! I shouted you out in my video. Thanks for sharing!
@@SouthCarolinaTransPlant I’ll have to go back and listen to what I said lol. The little limes get 5-6 feet tall. The arborvitae can get 3 feet wide. Hope this helps.
Your hydrangeas are stunning! I would love to have a hedge around my property, especially at the back, but the garden is so small that every square meter matters. Your situation is very different. Hedges take up a lot of space and drain the last drop of water from the soil, especially thujas (Thuja occidentalis = American Arbovitae). My neighbours' thujas grow right next to my fence (the trunks are 10cm from it) so my soil feeds them. They've become so popular here that I'm surrounded by millions of thujas, they've changed our landscape for ever.
Kim, your July gardens are just beautiful and everything looks so healthy. I’m looking at those big boulders behind your house. Then I’m looking at the tree you are loosing. I use to have a Japanese weeping holly on the corner of my house. After it died I dug down and then hammered a rebar and there was a huge boulder so I knew I couldn’t plant anything else with deep roots. I have a lot of boulders under my yard.
Hi Kim! I noticed you have a nice sized crape myrtle in your yard, I was curious when you planted it? I am looking to plant some smaller trees that hopefully grow quickly in my yard. I live in Houston and our builder preserved a lot of the huge oaks and pines in our yards but unfortunately we lost ours and my surrounding neighbors lost theirs from the hurricane earlier this month. It feels so hot and bare without them in the yard!

My yard is smaller than you think. I love your garden also. You can go to her TH-cam page and look for yourself! 😃
@@BACKYARDBLOOMSWITHKIM I remember you telling me once that the size was an illusions of sorts :-) Anyway, the effect is great!

What do you use to treat or prevent disease on your arborvitae’s ? Just the CaptainJacks? Anything else?
@@robinann9946 yes that’s all I have used. I did put out some ladybugs this year and did not spray. I’m keeping a close look on them.
