No the two of them are not related. However it is mandatory if you are a Registered Medical Practioner of Allopathy in India. Best to do it sooner rather than later.
good video Doctor I have a question I have recently passed my FMGE exam and applying for internship so when I finish my internship do I still need to register under my state council before NMR or will NMR registration alone will suffice or is there any NMC registration that is valid pan india registration ( I know there used to be MCi registration ) unlike state registration which restricts to practice medicine in only that state ?
so that I can register my self after internship only once instead of doing twice ?
You need state council registration first because your registration number is required. As for the pan India registration...it is just a directory at this point. But logically speaking they should allow pan India in the future. Currently safest bet is take state council registration...then apply for nmr.
@@VimalTikyani-y4c thanks for your reply all this paper work seems too messy at this point too many registrations IMR NMR and state council lol there should be only one national medical registration that is pan india so doctors can have freedom to practice move between states or for pg in other state also single one time application is easier

Hello sir can you please tell after submitting application for nmr registration how many days it will take for state approval... After state approval only we will get nmr id if I am not wrong.. Bcz it will be required for INICET registration.. Can you please clear my doubt
There is no fix timeline... I myself am waiting since 20 days almost...the fastest were some ppl who got it in 2 wks...

Sir, I was first registered in Karnataka Medical Council but I took Noc n got myself registered in Bihar medical council. Which state medical council certificate will I use for this registration? I tried with karnataka medical council registration number. NMR already shows my name and registration number of karnataka state and it asks to proceed. But currently I am registered with Bihar state. What to do?
As a rule of thumb you should use the latest one and the one where you intend to practice permanently. Still for the sake of clarity... drop them an email or call

Hello sir is this NMR going to be used as a pan india level registration ID for the doctors so that we could work all over the country without individual state registration issues ? Is that what the NMR program is all about ?
That is what the vision is for the future. At the present it is a registry where you can update all your qualifications and skills. Your employers and general public can take a look at your profile to streamline hiring...but they have access to only limited information. NBEMS, NMC etc. Can take a look at your whole profile.

Check ur details and if the state of registration is still the state you are applying from. If issue still persists directly mail nmc at www.nmc.org.in/information-desk/indian-medical-register/
Hi can you suggest how long it takes to get approved. Since its been 5 days for my application and its still showing pending.
10-15 day estimate is what other applicants have told me...but it depends on your state medical council and college to be honest...

I don't know about this. You should ask them directly via mail or call.

It's not mandatory...but better to link and verify. If you managed to link mobile number that is more than enough...just keep checking sms every 1-2 days or turn on notifications if they were off. And I understand this issue... many ppl over India faced this issue with mcc website too while registering for AIQ counselling as well.
Hi sir.. I have issue with typing my passport number on the nmr portal.. Some passport number which starts with certain alphabet is not validating by the portal… please help with a solution 🙏🏾
Using an alternative means of identification is best. If you are an FMG...then you have to contact them using the resources in the pinned comment.

sir my RMC certificate has expiry date of 2033, so when I tried to enter next renewal date the portal isnit showing me dates after 2029,what to do here?
I think you should contact them on the pinned comment. Since it is not an issue from your side or your state council but their website. Don't be hasty and enter incorrect date. Check the pinned comment and email/call them 😀

It is mandatory...there is no last date announced as of now because million plus doctors in our country can't all be registered and accepted at the same time. But the sooner you get it the better...for hassle free practice/job/education in the future 😀
My name in degree and reg certificate is with initials while in aadhar, its the full name.. I've not changed my name at any point of time.. Yet they're asking for proof of name change if name in degree and aadhar not matching.. What to do now?
Try and contact your state council or college if name change is possible... otherwise get name change done formally through a lawyer/notary. Forget registration...this is a legal liability for you in the long term Sir/Mam

Did you try refreshing the page and requesting Totp again? That usually works.

Try generating totp again with ur registered mobile number linked with ur aadhar card. Make sure to restart ur mobile before trying again as a lot of ppl didn't get the otp sms notification

Ya. Most seniors who are also facing this problem have uploaded provisional or final yr marksheet. If there is any problem you will get a query anyways
