This is a great format for the lesson. I like how you started with what the person in the inferior position is trying to do and then explained the submission. Good job!
This is simply AMAZING! I always struggle very hard to find what the response should be when other masters on TH-cam are showing a move. Genius on showing what the response should be
Those all seem to require a lot of setup, myself as a white belt a bout 6 months in I find I can only attempt a few submissions with any hope - what they have in common is very little setup to launch . 1 - arm triangle from mount or side control - often If I somehow I end up naturally with one underhook and the other hand behind their head on the floor if I get this far - then I can just walk their arm up past their head - get both my legs over to same side as their arm - drop my head into their arm and squeeze... surprised it works alot :) 2 - Arm bar from mount- often when in mount the guy on bottom is escaping an arm pops up - just grabbing it and swinging front leg over their head sometimes gets the submission - this doesn't work for me unless against another white belt but it has happened :) 3 - Triangle from closed guard. Seems all you need is to get one of their arms across your mid line and you can shoot for this right away from closed guard - I cant finish it on a coloured belt but feels fast and dangerous to launch as an attack . 4 - The bow and arrow choke - I can never manage to get a rear naked setup but getting a lapel and sitting into the bow and arrow is way easier - again only on another white belt. NONE of these EER work for me : Cross collar choke, Ezekiel choke, Americana, Kimura , rear naked choke. lol.
Great video guys ! Just subscribed.. I'm not strong and have been training only few days and was wondering where my focus needed to be. Thanks for a great video and I look forward to more white belt tutorials.
Best instructionals are always coming from Travis. It’s like matrix downloading grappling. Like how do you explain it and I get it like first try? Anyhow, thanks dudes 🤙
How does the pressure get applied with the Ezekiel? Is it from the torque applied from the rotation? Beginner white belt, only been to 5 classes so I'm trying to improve my arsenal for whenever I roll with people in my class
Asking any experienced BJJ experts!! I just started my second class of Gi Bjj and rolled with someone who was a purple belt he had about 100lbs or over on me. As an inexperienced player I don't know to many submissions so at this point I just try and survive. This purple belt was submitting me like nothing it got to a point where the he cranked my knee so bad I felt a popping sensation. Is this normal or was he an ass and going to hard on a new member. Thoughts?
He was being a total dick and should have been looking out for you. Your uke is your best friend. You need to have a word with him and your sensei. If he doesn't change don't partner with him again. It's will be his loss. Hopfully a 2nd dan will teach him to be humble.
@@rougeegamer98 roll with who's available but try to stick to white belts. Don't ask a higher belt to roll they will come to you eventually. Also watch who you roll with some people are jerks and you want to avoid that type unless your a killer on the Matt.
I really liked the video except I didn't understand the chokes. You put the chokes on but then you seem to take them off quickly. I didn't get a chance to look at the full on chokes to study them. I am a beginner. Thank you
@Tim Hanselbach ok. it must be clear that my comment was nothing to do with the skills of these people which i find of the highest level and i follow. in any case we must congratulate these people for their efforts and their sharing.
Like how u guys did both defense and offense, I’ll remember this next time someone is blowing in my ear

I love LOVE this format of demonstrating the techniques! From the attacker AND defender...keep these coming please
You guys cure my anxiety..love the good vibes and the mass of knowledge here . Much respect.

0:09 Frosty mesmerized by Travis's counting skills
Love the way you have done these videos, and the very clear HD quality is great too! Thank you!
47 year old just started
Thanks for the great information just trying to get a little better thanks
I love that you guys focused on both aspects of the position, defense and offense. Exactly what I look to understand as a white belt. Thanks!
I’ve been watching a ton of these videos and still this is the best one, the way they present things is so easily comprehendible
Thanks, very nice setup. Not only one side tips but from both perspective. Atacker and defender. Great content
Very interesting original format for a video. Solid!
I just started gi bjj this past week. I feel so lost, thank you!

Awesome! I've watched it 30 times and have saved it.
Had to teach a class last minute/out of the blue, and I used the Paper Cutter for the students.
Thanks guys. 🙏

I like this method of teaching, great video dudes 👍
Please do a video on all the different ways one can get their hand/arms underneath their opponenets head and arms while in full or side mount.
You both are awesome bad asses. Had to subscribe! 💪💯
Good stuff. Thank you!
Really enjoying the videos! keep pumping out more :)
wow this type video is awesome, good to understand you opponent's reaction
Glad you found it help full.
Great 👍🏼 setups for all of those chokes! I like going from NS choke to Papercutter choke. Good stuff...
Loving the videos, thanks for continuing to share the knowledge!
Excellent, thank you
Nice defense VS attack vidéo
Hey! That's that's the model for fuji gis!
Nice setups! thanks
Great video Travis - you have some good stuff. I have subscribed recently. Thumbs up. Hello from Australia.
Thanks for the sub!
Please make video on nogi submissions
Good work
Looking for submissions but found only chokes
Very helpful thank you so much!!
Bro why does travis look just like one of our purple belt instructors… 😂
thanks!!!
Travis can you do more of no go judo? I’m trying to adapt my judo into no-gi grappling but it’s not been as successful as I would have hoped
Love your vídeos. Thanks

Damn. These can come in clutch. Especially vs big dudes lol. Can't beat em but if we can get 1 of these in locked, goodnight 💤
Las presentaciones son lo mejor!

Hey guys, greys videos. Any new ones soon?
what if you like armbars though? how do you secure the arm bar?
Awesome
do we have the right to do the Ezekiel choke in judo ?
You show how i can get beat even more with the counters 😂
Any reason the videos stopped on this channel?
The most common way I get submissions is squeezing them from the side with my legs
Great video thx =)

How's your knee?
@@rougeegamer98 was only a sprained ACL and meniscus. I got lucky. Now I am recovering from a rib injury lol.
Just started BJJ do you recommend to roll just with new white belts?

Don't know if you realise how much difference itbmakes for us students to learn from proven olymipians.
Cheers
thats what she said
I performed these submissions, now all my friends are dead
4 outta 5 of those you can’t do if training in no gi
FUCK YES!!!
fucking killer
Am I the last
Bro, this isn't for beginners... Too hard
These are not a beginner move at all
to be honest their teaching is very tiring. sorry guys.
Thank you for the feed back. I'm always looking to improve.

Imagine having to even point that out
why is bjj so feng shwaygay. you guys are too comfortable sitting in missionary position
