Erika Kullberg: Finance, Investing, Passive Income yes, I did a 1-on-1 coaching call with Roberto Blake for growing my channel and it was one of his suggestions. He said people might relate more to just my name, and then when they get to my channel they can see what it’s about. Starting to implement some of his suggested changes, I’ve been sick lately so hasn’t happened right away, but you’ll see more in the near future.

Erika Kullberg: Finance, Investing, Passive Income loves your tip on tags. That’s a really quality one. You’re presentation is amazing. Like the color scheme like a soft blue and everything. Really cool. Also, I didn’t know you spent time in another country that had earth quakes 🤯
@@KenanGrace Thank you!! Yeah, the tags one will save you a lot of time--just find a similar video that has done well and copy those tags. No need to reinvest the wheel haha :D. Yep, I've lived in Japan for the past 3 years! Lots of earthquakes!

Another great video Erika! I’m glad you decided to keep going with your channel. Gary Vee once said something that I try to remember, and that’s to try to be empathetic with people who leave those types of nasty comments. Thanks Erika. ☺️
I am absolutely delighted to hear this!! Thank you so much! I've loved reading your comments the last few days. How'd you find me? I'm SO happy you did! From everything I've read in your comments, we are so aligned on our views towards finance. Makes me really happy :)
Erika Kullberg: Finance, Investing, Passive Income Wonderful! You’re welcome and I’m glad you have enjoyed reading my comments as well. Excited for this community on your TH-cam account! I have been watching financial minimalism videos, as well as minimalism videos, DIY home project/improvement videos, frugal living videos, sustainable living videos, etc. A few channels I watch regularly whose values in line with ours are: Free to Family, Six Sisters Stuff (for many of my recipes), and Graham Stephan? Could be butchering his name. I believe that your video was recommended to me by TH-cam from one of those channels, likely Free to Family. I used to watch Dave Ramsey years ago, and I believe his principals are good and they’re one approach, they’re just not my approach. I don’t believe that dumping the majority of your earnings into your debt is great advice .. because what are you left with then in times like these with the pandemic? Especially those with lower end salaries or hourly workers. I also don’t like the fact he preaches on have no debt whatsoever. Perhaps that worked back in his time, but that’s simply not an option these days. I think he possibly says that, knowing that most people are uneducated on how credit cards work and how credit should be used in general. So I do understand. However, if anyone plans to purchase real estate ever (which they most definitely should) then having “no credit” is worse than having “bad credit” unless you have millions in the bank and plan to pay cash for the home outright. . And any other repairs or expenses that are coupled with owning a home and/or renting out a property. Dave Ramsey’s approach is actually how my parents build their wealth and acquired real estate and rent out the homes for passive income. So I know his tools work as I’ve seen it in action first hand, I just don’t think that people should be unopened to the idea of “credit” 🙅🏼♀️ credit = 🙅🏼♀️ financing in the future when you need to receive a loan for a home or whatever the case may be. Hopefully a home or some other asset that will appreciate and make money! Unlike a stupid vehicle 🤦🏼♀️ I just wish my parents had taught me more about the stock market and given me the necessary tools to be financially frugal as well. I just always thought they were cheap asses growing up and couldn’t wait to break away. But now in my mid-twenties, I see that there was a rhyme to their reason! Thankfully I learned in my mid-twenties than in my mid-thirties or beyond. 😅 Just thinking about what we managed to pay off and save and invest in the last two years is absolutely incredible... and thinking about how much more we could have in the bank had I been frugal from age 20 to 23. 😫 I think I’d die if I were in my mid-thirties starting the financial journey and had to think back on how much money was wasted on stupid crap that brings temporary happiness from age 18 to 35 😳😳😰 with that being said, it is never too late. I don’t mean it in that way. I think I personally would just have a stroke 😅 knowing what I know now. I already hyperventilate thinking about how more we could have in the bank. But honestly, I think it was really great for me to have been with someone really well off. Now that I’ve lived in multi-million mansions and had Ferrari’s to drive, etc, I just have learned (but through my experience and my ex boyfriends) that those are just masks to make us feel a false sense of security. I don’t want or need that crap anymore. I kind of look at it like “Been there, done that.” I guess I’m fortunate to be in that position. The lifestyle of buying and owning the next hot thing is so so sooooo exhausting to keep up with. And ever since finding my husband who thinks I hang the sun and the moon in the sky, I don’t want or need any of that. He loves me as I am, spends quality times with me, and has a great head on his shoulders. It’s funny how tables can turn in life and how our values alter. I’m not a different person morally or ethically today, but what I value and what brings me joy is certainly different today at age 26, than it was at age 19.
This is 2023 and I still love watching this video
Don’t listen to the haters. You’ve changed my life when it comes to personal finance. Pls keep making videos lol

Thank you!!
Great tips! Im going to start using these on my channel immediately!
7:51 don’t let the haters get you down! You’re awesome!
I had to make and post 60 videos before I hit 1,000 subscribers. That took me 6 months. Now 3 months later I am almost at 6K subs. People have to just not give up and they have to commit to improving over time.
You're doing amazing by the way Erika! Your channel is going to explode once you get monetized (your videos in search listings will be put higher once youtube starts making money from your content).
Oh this is interesting! I didn't know this was a thing!
Your comments are so encouraging :D
Great job on the fast growth. Inspiring to many of us. Thanks for the tips
Thank you Jon! You're doing a great job too!
I love how organized you are with your videos! I also want to start my TH-cam-channel and it didn't even cross my mind to organize my videos in so many different folders! I planned to have just 3 folders called 'TH-cam-Videos' , 'thumbnails' and 'Video-ideas'! LOL
But your way of organizing is so much better!! thank you so much for this!! :-)
I'm so glad to hear this!! Yes, organization is key! I think it's good to get in that habit of being super organized from the very beginning. I love using Google Drive to manage everything.
Great content. Don't let the haters get to you.
Thank you for the information I really appreciate it. 🙏

I’m glad you didn’t quit due to that nasty comment. There’s always going to be those “shit heads” for lack of better term, in life. You’re so intelligent, beautiful and seems to have such a positive and pure demeanor. I’m subscribed and I am a new fan. I look forward to your videos. They’re interesting to watch and insightful.
Great video Erika, I'd really love to grow my channel so will be using your tips to do so - I guess lack of consistency is my biggest problem.
Such great content! Love your videos. 😁
It’d be interesting to see how you edit your videos or what software you use, they are really well edited!
