Always a pleasure seeing Mike Gillis! No other GM has taken the Canucks deeper than Gillis in the Modern Era.

I appreciate that Mike brought up the Twins before discussing Pettersson. A lot of people talking about the player with the same Don Cherry-wannabe energy that was swirling around Hank and Danny back in the day. It would be a massive mistake for this team to move #40

The Legend! I miss how good our teams were under Mike.

I find it insane this guy isn’t running an NHL Team. One of the best GM’s in Canucks history.

The way Alvin, Tocchet is dealing with Petey, I think he may not feel supported by the organization by not surrounding him with players that suits his style of game. Instead they tried to get players that best suited to play Tocchets system. They want him to be number one center but they don’t provide that environment to turn him into one.

Of course the current management deserve no empathy. They signed both players to long term deals and handed out the no move clauses with full knowledge the two players had had issues for years.

I was at the game vs the Islanders when we all chanted " Fire Gillis " .....lets not forget that.

Miller HAS NOT proven to be a better playoff performer.. he was better last year when Pettersson was injured. Pettersson was a beast in tthe bubble and was a beast for his team as a rookie in the SHL leading his team to a championship and was the playoff MVP.
In the bubble they had exactly the same #points with petey having 1 more goal and miller having 1 more assist.. miller was in his prime and petey was like 22. Last year Miller had double points but that entailed 2 more goals.. and a bunch of assists to Brock Boeser.. the 40 goal winger he got to play with. Not exacltly lighting the world on fire vs an player that was injured to be declared "the better proven preformer".. infact throughout his career Miller has not been known as a good Playoff performer before the canucks.

Mike deftly avoids saying a single positive word about Miller, who's only the second highest point per game player in Canuck history. Typical.

He was a great player except when he choked in big games and whined when he didn't get special treatment.
