The bloke is a bit crude but the media reaction has been so over top.
Even Huw Edwards didn't get this much heat and his scandal was far, far more severe.

As a woman myself😊 I think the "me too movement" is absolute BS. As for Hugh Edwards, what a wolf in sheep's clothing (apologies to any offended sheep) and just got a tap on the wrist. Why is there not ZERO tolerance to foreign criminals in UK

As a woman, you’d be ok with putting up with many men in power, like Harvey Weinstein rxping young actresses or anyone you know, or even you? Seriously? No woman should report SA, and if they report, it’s ‘BS’ to you? The reporting of Weinstein was how the ‘Me Too’ started.

When I started work in the 1960s it was common for women working on assembly lines to pull down the trousers of young apprentices. How times have changed. Some women are as sleazy as some men. Double standards are everywhere.

Know that's true - have a friend who worked in a big engineering company in the late '60's as a young apprentice and he said some of the older women were scary!.
Not saying I like Wallace, but is any of this even provable and are there not better things to be worrying about with the state this country is in?.

Let's be clear, I really, really detest Gregg Wallace as a presenter. However imagine if the presenter was a national treasure like Billy Connolly wi' his 'willy', or Paul O'Grady's Lily Savage, or Miriam Margolyes with her charmingly obscene and grotesque anecdotes, or perhaps Stephen Fry, or lovely Lenny Henry's smutty double entendres, or Eddie/Suzi Izzard. Would any of these have provoked the same level of faux outrage that has been heaped on the barrer-boy Gregg. I doubt it.

@AndyP-b9z My Dad told me about a similar experience when he was a lad starting work back in the 50s...it wasn't anything nasty or really vulgar, but their teasing really made him blush and quite uncomfortable. It made him quite concious about how uncomfortable anyone can be made to feel and to be mindful of it and not stand for it being done to anyone else by an individual or a group. My Dad had a good sense of humour and was no wilting lily even as a lad, so he thought about how bad it could be for someone with less confidence as well.

I think the Gregg story reflects the workplace and tolerance of distasteful behaviour. I experienced inappropriate behaviour from a very senior executive back in the 80's. As I would not comply, I was dealt with through a trumped up disciplinary. If I didn't sign, I was to be dismissed. I fought back with a lawsuit.. Not sure I would do that again, it's very costly.

IF there are sexual claims bought against someone , why are the police dealing with it , rather then keep it under there wing and keeping it quite for 13 years , if it was delt with when first reported and sorted , i think woman would feel better rather than having to wait 13 years . If police investergate it will take another 5 years and use a lot more police time ?????

If this kind of behaviour is no longer morally tolerated, then eventually it will be eradicated. Unfortunately, there is a political element who are unprepared for time to take it's course and are determined to break career's and frighten an older population into submission.

It should be the case that if a woman (or man) doesn't complain right at the moment then they can't complain later on and definitely not years later.

All these women are complicit. Had they said something to him directly at the time it happened it would have stopped him before his behaviour got worse for him and those offended over time. I switch off when people come out of the woodwork years later. Brendan is correct about the grooming gang scandal….. we all know why the protagonists were left alone for so long and its nothing to do with working class girls being the victim.

This is just a distraction from other things going on, I used to like work place banter, and many women can be worst than any man, you just need to judge the people around you, also if older than a few weeks it should be old news, if it is bad report it immediately or STFU.

So he’s mentioned a few dirty jokes, get over it. I genuinely believe everyone who has made a complaint against Gregg have said worse.

Free speech. I find a lot of women to be vindictive, violent, cruel and hypocritical but at least you can hear who they are and avoid them.

BBC H.R. need to run classes in respect to sexual harassment. The point is this was 12 to 14 years ago people behaved differently, and women were part of it in some respects. BUT NOW women are not prepared to accept this behaviour, and this needs pushing in all the work places. LIFE IS DIFFERENT now but to have a go at him from 12 year ago is ridiculous. yeh he kind of said the wrong thing lol, but well he wasn't advised very well was he. As to running around the studio naked i don't believe it. He would have had others around him. sick of hearing about it.
we are now having new hostilities with Israel and Hezbollah that's more important.

The way things are going is wrong but Wallace is a talentless loudmouth who in my opinion should never have been on tv, I could not watch him & I would have quite liked to watch the factory program but soon as he opened his big mouth I had to switch off.

It almost made me feel uncomfortable.

    The whole system is skewed.
The outlook is grim as the moral compass has been moved far away from common sense and decency.
It appears that it is down to who you are now. Huw or Greg? Does your face fit??
Greg hasn't mentioned mental health..... is that the key?
