Those out-takes are funny as ....! No wonder you were soaked and your legs aching, .... walking frigging backwards and frigging forwards then frigging backwards and frigging forwards! 🤣😂🤣😂😉🤭 Keep it up👍🤙
Yet another boss vid mate. I’ll have to take a look see at that stopover when I’m next in that that neck of the woods/dales/fells etc. Keep up the great work for your army of followers.
Nothing better than sitting in front of the fire eating chocolate (me) watching someone else get soaking wet (you) 😂😂. Seriously, it was lovely to watch. Afraid my fell walking days are behind me now (too old and a pair of very dodgy knees) but at least I can share in your walks. Fabulous photos too. 👍🏻
New to camper van , so interesting. Like your enthusiasm. Given me that little push to get out there more , rain or shine . Really vibrant and interesting video . Thank you
Good video! I've had a small camper and moved up. To solve your drying and maybe a shower solution to keep you wild. Longer, consider these options at low cost, knowing your a Yorkshireman. An extendable pole using pop top void or on a hook system, which is used to hand and dry clothes including footwear., using diesel heater done very quickly. Now the drips!, the simplest option is an old towel on the floor to capture the drops, or a 10 quid plastic tray. Ive had the Tray system about 4inches deep. Now for a simple shower. You've no hot water, so hot water or about 40degrees, in the sink, a 12v trigger head shower head system, using the pole you've used for drying clothes add another with 2 shower curtains from pound land and you've a simple wash area for those days you really need to hit the cracks. The waste water in the 4inch deep tray, is used to clean the van, either tip into a collapseable bucket or just tip out. It's only wash water, but to avoid the stares, suggest you do this in a less populated area, unless you are willing to say, "do you wash your windows or vehicles at home, then this is my home on wheels and I'm doing the same", enjoy
Apart from a terrific video as usual Colin, your stills are always interesting and often have a moody mesmeric quality. Thank you for taking me (us) with you again. What a great pleasure they are…as are the out-takes!
I never get tired of Ribblehead viaduct - thanks for taking us on the walk. We really appreciate all the effort you put into bringing the videos. Hope you and the family now have a good break getting ready for Christmas. All the best. 💕🐾
Great video. Excellent park up there isn’t it. One of the first pub stops I did. I got shouted at by an angry man for flying my drone when I was out and about walking. Put me off a bit at the time but then I soon got over it 😳🤣
I watch videos of people spending time away in their van but unfortunately I don't have one of my own, I also like going for walks so watching you gives me the incentive to get out there and do it as well 👍
Another great video with lovely scenery, I received my ecoflo river on Thursday that I won from you, what a piece of kit that is love it will be using it loads thanks again
I've got to stay at that pub! that fish and chips looked gorgeous too. I'm a photographer too who cut his teeth on B&W landscapes using film so that photo was fab to view. Once I'm on the road finally with Viv-i-van I'll be taking my camera gear with me too-after all, thats what I bought her for even if she had other ideas. Great video, fun vibe and even in the rain, epic scenery. Respect and regards- Kenny
This is where I was last year, I stayed in the laybys just along the road, but I watched your bays brown video whilst in the beer garden using the wifi, went there the next day and met Mr Pop Top himself who was there doing another video. Loads of parking in the laybuys for a planned walk, I'd like to go back and do some long walks.
It’s a great stopover The Station at Ribblehead, such a shame about the weather but pleased it cleared a bit in the morning for the photos. (Lovely photos as usual) - have a great weekend, David & Rachel 👍
There’s so many places you’ve been that I’d love to get and walk/ look around too. Mum in law lives near Sheffield and we’re down in Dorset so at some point we’ll look to link up a load of those you’ve done and make a proper trip of it. That looks a fantastic spot to stay. …on a side note …on th train from Doncaster from the ‘outlaw’ to work leaving the motor with my wife (not the van 😮💨) treated myself to first class after claiming back a late train last time (same amount) ….bloke opposite declined his free sandwiches ….chap came and asked me if I’d like any ….yep and I’ll have his too 😂 💥 lunch tomorrow sorted. 👍🏻
Just like you, I don't like using the sink tap system to use for drinking water. Instead I use a dedicated drinking water container. It is a large square container I bought from Amazon with a tap at the bottom. To use it as intended, you have to lift the container, to pour from the tap at the base. To improve it, I have bought a USB charged electric tap with an immersible plastic dip pipe, to go into the fill hole at the top, when i arrive on site. I adapted a small round storage tupperware type tub by drilling a hole in it's base, to accommodate the dip pipe and the storage tub fits into the fill hole nicely, with the USB tap sitting on the top of the inside of the storage tub. I can now fill the kettle just by putting it under the USB tap and pressing the on button. Much more convenient. Best part of all, the USB taps are only about £20 and do the job nicely.
Awesome mate, Barb and myself have done a carbon copy of that. Hated the new step section they have put in on the decent they are leg breakers. You’ll have to do the lesser known waterfall route up Buckden Pike at some point it’s one of my favourites, a bit of a ledge walk in places but quite safe, love this sort of stuff 👌👍
Oh my gosh! That's a pub to bookmark for us. I just looked at their menus and they have vegan and gluten free options. Outstanding! Might skip the walking in the rain part though.
Forgot to tell you, I've binned off my pole like yours and bought a set of pressstuds. 3 in the roof bed bit and a few down the side. Much easier, quicker and more effective 😁👍🏼
Great video as always Colin. You do realise if anyone seen you do the video stuff they’d think you were mental mate. 😂 seriously though loved the video and glad you got your heater working too. Is this the last video for the year ?
Hey I'm not sure of the what 3 words location as that app won't run on my phone... Just search the station inn at Ribble head and it will take you right there
Thanks buddy, it's just an extending pole from Amazon and black out curtains from Amazon, I think the Amazon shop link in the description will take you to them ;)
Hey matey, sadly I don't, I think I built it before I started doing TH-cam weekly and more seriously. I might be upgrading it (strengthening it) soon so could be a good video for you to watch
@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures I thought you may have tbf it’s a stunning walk and the views 👍🏻👍🏻keep up the good work mate love watching your TH-cam videos, All the best Mate 😉
It was just lack of fuel buddy, I opened the lid to the fuel tank (mines separate and not linked to my van tank) and it worked perfectly.... Must have been starved of air
Nice picture of the viaduct, I think we’ll put that on our list for one of our journeys next year, btw have you gone for the goth look, I.e black nail varnish on your thumb or did you have a little accident 😬, cheers Dennis x
Hey bud, I use Berghaus boots matey (I'll put a link below) but I usually wear sealskins socks too to keep my feet super dry... And I wax the boots too... Great film again. I just don't know why you guys do this looks like another person taking the film bit as we all know that you are going back and forth. It just does not look right. I have a job doing the walk normally never mind going back and forth lol.

Whoop whoop first to comment for the TH-cam algorithms and stuff. Oh, and I love a blooper reel !
An aftermarket driver seat commode would be an awesome upgrade for these. It'd be the shit.

I’d be sat in the pub in that stinking weather 😣
The thought crossed my mind on many occasions 😂😉

Thought you were doing well with no swearing... and didn't disappoint at the end.
Hi Colin Great video. You think like me Jc.😃

Random question 🙋♂️ what are you using for the cab driver curtain ?
As in what curtain and pole did you go for ?
Thanks buddy, it's just an extending pole from Amazon and black out curtains from Amazon, I think the Amazon shop link in the description will take you to them ;)
Hi colin good video does the pub charge to park?
Hey buddy, no it's completely free as long as you have a few beers in the pub or some food ;)
COLIN….Do you have a video on the drawer under the bed install? I’d love to do something like this myself but have no idea where to start?
Thanks 🙏 😊

Hi Colin, have you been to ingleton waterfall trails? Great for walking and 📸 😉
Hey buddy, yes we've been there before but always worth a revisit for the photo opportunities ;)
@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures I thought you may have tbf it’s a stunning walk and the views 👍🏻👍🏻keep up the good work mate love watching your TH-cam videos,

Great video how long do you think the fan heater would run on the delta 2
Hey buddy at 1kw it runs for about 50 minutes, not long enough for a heating solution, but long enough to take the edge off in a pinch
If i knew u were on ur own would have joined you for a pint, next time
Does it always rain when you go for a walk? 😂
Haha it would seem so at the moment 🤣
What was the issue with the diesel heater in the end ?
It was just lack of fuel buddy, I opened the lid to the fuel tank (mines separate and not linked to my van tank) and it worked perfectly.... Must have been starved of air

Haha trapped it in the bloody door of the van in August mate 🤣😅
Col how many takes to you actually do to make a vlog?.... Dunk fae Oot n aboot wi us 🏴
Haha too many takes matey... Sometimes I smash it in take one, but sometimes I have to do it several times 🤣
@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures one more question Col, what kind of boots do you wear and do they keep your feet dry?

Do you ever set up your camera for a walking shot and get lost in thought and forget to go back for it? 😂
