    One problem about Shehzad is that while he speaks about being woke, he also disrespects people with beliefs different to his. One simple example is when he said Junaid Jamshed ka koi ehsan nahi tha to enable Tariq Jamil on the internet . I have observed his political biasedness as well. Do take this as a constructive criticism bro besides this I am a regular follower

    Ali has a balanced approach and relatable concepts towards the issues. On the other hand Shehzad Ghias Shaikh is western extremist liberal who doesnt leave any chance to shame islam and religious people. He is clearly a PPP supporter when he is always criticizing PTI but praising PPP efforts. Shahzad needs to understand that just verbal vomit after watching netflix shows/documentaries doesnt make one a research oriented scholar. Shahzad should study and research with some authentic books from muslim scholars to clear his concepts. Stop spreading the bs that " if west is doing than must be right" or Adler's doctrine. He is spreading hatred towards men with sexist comments towards men.

    Ali Abdullah is the quintessential Karachi ka londa. Like when I picture Karachi ka londa in my head or I want to show someone what a Karachi a londa looks like I picture him. There are very few people that capture the look or essence of a city. Like Jay-Z is a dude from NewYork, like Ronaldhino is Brazilian, like Junaid Jamshaid was Islamabad. These folks just capture the essence of a city/country in their personality.

    The host is soo firm on his own mindset, I felt he was as too stiff and not receptive to what is coming from the opposite end. Not supporting Khan at all but the damage PPP has done to Sindh and it’s people is unjustifiable ( I am from Sukkur so I know ground realities). Moreover, the strict stance on religion and not regarding Junaid Jamshed and Moulana Tariq Jameel was disrespectful. You can have views but there can be a respectable way of sharing those. Also, reliable resources are needed to prove your points especially on religion not something ABC because you feel is right can be right.

    Always always felt Shehzad's bias towards ppp and sindh. No doubt the zehni ghulami is far more evident in sindh and so is the wadera system. No two ways about it.

    With due respect Shehzad
    This is the second podcast of yours that I am watching, the first one was with NFP. The recurring theme seems to be even-ing out PPP and PML-Ns history and bashing IK. I am not an IK supporter but as someone who is from urdu speaking background we have to give IK credit where he deserves, he has been able to unite people from multiple ethnicities with a common purpose, I remember there being an extreme political divide based on ethnicity when I was growing up in the 80s, why do you think NRPs support IK? Or the so called intellectual elites support IK? Because they don’t see any hope in others.
    You have also mentioned in both your podcast how Mr Zardari could have used the peoples sentiments when Mohatarma Benazir Bhutto was martyred, ofcourse he was looking at his own benefit, how someone like you is oblivious to Zardaris sahabs modus operandi is beyond me, from Land mafia to KE, hes only benefited from her passing. She was an inspiration but she lost immense credibility due to her association with Zardari. You want to ask Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Junior or Fatima Bhutto to come on your podcast to give you a reality check?
    Also taking a dig at animal right activists, people in this country are not empathetic towards animals, accept it. Look at the stats and look around your neighbourhood. Children are not taught compassion towards animals, animals are not considered beings with feelings. Check out ACFs page, which I am sure you have, that’s just tip of the iceberg.
    You lose credibility when you don’t have a solution and your viewpoint is biased. This country has only gone downhill thanks to bad politics and young people like you have the power to make a difference, use your platform responsibly.
    As for this gentlemen on your podcast today, his journey seems truly amazing.
    I believe I represent Pakistan being married to a Punjabi and my sister in law is a Sindhi. There is no bias here.

    Society has no money to spend on poor kids or solution for troubled kids but when madarsa people try to do their bit, its like an old grandma giving advice to kids just because advice is free and takes no efforts. Those who struggle running a home of few people cant have idea how to run any orphonage or madarsa and manage their routine with limited money. A few bad example cant take away all the good deeds they have done so far. People should infact ask question why madarsa have limited resources and why they are spending so much on party and wedding but not on resources for madarsa or its poor kids.

    When stand up comedian and blogger talk about religion and its complex issues and try to make haram as halal just like a mufti, I think its like islamic scholars discuss verious genre of stand up. In fact, its still possible to discuss about comedy for religious scholars since its newer form with limited history, comedians should just make fun on things that they know and not make fun of their own limited knowledge.

    Salam Shehzad, enjoyable podcast as usual but I respectfully disagree with your views on the verbal marital agreement between a couple at 1:01 onwards. No doubt in technical terms a Nikah is valid when a couple verbally agree on it but making this contract public is the fundamental condition as that’s what secures the social and religious rights of the next generation. So secret marriages aren’t really marriages from Islamic perspective (in my view). I suggest you refer to Ghamidi’s arguments on this. Having said do share Shaikh Kamaluddin’s views as I’d like to hear/read the premise in which he’s discussed this topic.

    • @adeem.
      @adeem. 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whilst I accept you’ve discussed it in a different context but I’ll give you an example. In the UK it is a well known practice amongst traditionalist Pakistani men whereby they do a verbal secret marriage (called Shariah Marriage) with newly convert women and start living with them, but they don’t publicise or officially register these marriages. The female converts are lead to believe that these marriages are Islamic i.e. two adults have agreed to form a Nikah but the country’s law doesn’t accept unregistered marriages, so it is just a live-in relationship, and one day when these men simply walk out or verbally divorce these women they can’t claim any rights (e.g. maintenance) for themselves or their children. Many men have second wives using this process as polygamy is also illegal in the country.
      Ghamidi on the other hand argues that Islam wants to protect the rights of the next generation and secondly we must always follow the Urf (عُرف) or the normal/legal practice of the society. So whilst the Nikah does take place when two adults accept each other, the marriage itself has to be announced to wider society and registered formally to ensure that legal rights of all parties are met.

    • @adeem.
      @adeem. 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DWAGON1818 The reason two witnesses were needed is so the marriage can be considered a publicly declared legal relationship and not a secret one. This was easy to achieve through a couple of credible people in a tribal setting but today the societies have evolved and so has the definition of legal framework or announcing a married relationship. The process of today is that a marriage should be made public and registered in the court of law. This is just as how today we arrange for paperwork and obtain visas to travel to other states which wasn’t the case 14 centuries ago.
      So this isn’t a social but a legal issue as no rights of either party can be claimed if the marriage itself isn’t recognised in the law. Without official recognition it’s just a boy/girlfriend relationship.
      Finally, the law of the land must be respected and adhered to. It’s part of the citizenship process in most countries today and Islam also holds a lot of value for contracts and legal obligations. Therefore if the law of the UK doesn’t acknowledge or permit polygamy, you either follow the law or leave the country to practice it.

    • @adeem.
      @adeem. 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DWAGON1818 Circumventing the law is also illegal and unethical. If polygamy is illegal in the country then practicing it in any form would also be illegal. UK law doesn’t recognise a relationship in terms of establishing legal rights, whether it’s called “Nikah” or any other thing, it’s just a boyfriend/girlfriend/partner relationship. Only “marriage” is a legally accepted relationship that protects the rights of both parties and their offspring.
      Similarly the two witness bit doesn’t make Nikah valid or legal today unless the condition to make it public as well as registered is fulfilled. Again, this is the only way to protect and ensure the legal rights of everyone. So you and I are not saying the same thing, and I think Ghamidi is right on this issue.

    • @adeem.
      @adeem. 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DWAGON1818 Let’s begin with where are the two witnesses mandated. Please specify. Quran?

    • @adeem.
      @adeem. 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Buddha temples were not build by Hindues..
      And Hinduism wasn't t a religion but ethonocity. The name "Hindu" was given by Persian to the people living on the sides of Indus River. So technically we all were hindues regardless of our religious believes or race.
