    At 10:30 it sounds like the outputs you're mixing have a different phase.
    I don't know the specifics of the A-121-2, but it sounds like that when you turn up the Notch, I hear the low end dropping out which would be the LPF signal and the portion of the notch below the cutoff frequency cancelling each other out.
    If you apply a 180° phase shift to a signal and mix it with the original (0°), they would cancel each other out through destructive interference.
    It would be more "obvious" if you look at filters like the Intellijel Dr Octature or Joranalogue Filter 8, they have the phase rotation labeled on the output jacks.

      Agreed. What I was struggling with describing here was the filter has 4 types of outputs simultaneously: HP/LP/BP/Notch, so in the audio mixer when you raise/lower signal strength, it was doing exactly that: canceling out. It was very odd to my ears.
