Holocaust survivor Alex Rosner donated his accordion to The Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County in Long Island, New York, where it is on display in its museum. He was a boy in the Auschwitz concentration camp (Birkenau section) when he received the unusual gift of an accordion from a guard. He explains how music and his father, a violin player, helped save his life during the Holocaust. Alex Rosner was one of the youngest people on Oskar Schindler’s famous list.
