Have you put a dc amp meter with max reading to see if it actually puts out 80a? The 3000w is ~40a im guessing that what it can handle constant? Did you figure out how to program it? I want to buy one too but need to be able to program it.

My friend please, could you tell me if the high brakes is working in your controller? When I send a signal to the high brake wire the controller do not regen, it just stop sending power to the motor.

Also there's a julet connection for the motor and phase wires I'm not sure whether yours is for the for the 5 v or if yours is for the motor phases and power in now I can't tell by the picture of a video but I can't tell the diameter of the holes in your controller?
WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO DO IS BYPASS THE CUTOFF VOLTAGE WHICH WOULD DAMAGE THE BATTERIES, NOT ADVISED. HOWEVER IT MAY ALSO FRY THE CONTROLLER INSTANTLY AS WELL, MOREOVER IT WOULD NOT HAVE ANY ADVANTAGE AND WOULD NOT IMPROVE PERFORMANCE EVEN IF IT DID WORK AND NOT FRY THE CONTROLLER. I SAY DO NOT TRY IT.
From my understanding if u hook it to computer program u can set your all your parameters ..this is pure sign wave controller much better for electric equipment

Hi fellow veteran, I purchased a 48v 750w rear hub Chinese ebike and I am attempting to add a second front hub motor with a cycle analyst and shunt to be connected to 1 battery. I have 2 of these controllers for 2 hub motor controllers and understand that both need to be wired for power, motor and hall sensor lines. Only 1 controller will need to connected through the throttle to activate the motors and I will adjust the amps through the cycle analyst. My issue is the rest of the accessories, head & tail light, directionals, brake light, speedometer/battery display, pas, brake switches are all different color wires from the original and new controllers. Also the wires are used for all the accessories are the dongle cables so i cannot see which color is coming from which switch as they are all inclosed into a junction type dongle where 4 or 5 dongle cables from the handlebars go in to the junction an 2 come out going to the controller. And as you know, the wiring diagram you showed on the video I have as well, none of the wires are marked for accessories. Can you advise me on how to proceed with this. Thanks

I think the controller ist faulty, because everytime i reach 35kmh (high setting) the Motor&Display goes to zero Energy for 5seconds but 12V works normal always. On Low (25kmh) theres no problems. When i buy a replace Controller (same specs) how to Set it to max 45kmh or is it out of the box? I did buy a 72V / 2000w Controller first because my seller say this fit. VERY RARELY DO ALL CONTROLLERS MATCH ON THE CONNECTOR TYPES, IT IS BETTER TO MATCH THE FUNCTION WIRES TOGETHER AND CHANGE THE CONNECTOR TO MATCH BUT THE FUNCTIONS ARE CLOSELY DONE THE SAME. THE HIGHER PRICE CONTROLLERS HAVE A BLUETOOTH OR USB PROGRAMMING FEATURE TO SET YOUR PARAMETERS YOU WANT. Really not sure what else too try as I think it is a clone as it has no port connected for programming and now the seller has gone quiet! Bike was working fine with the 2 previous 1500w controllers.
"It has no port connected"... Do you mean that it actually doesn't have a physical port on the PCB? Because the actual casing has a "slot" for a programming port. I have just purchased this and have not yet received it so I can not check myself :)

I have the older version like the schematic on a bike that works. I just take the orange and maroon to a switch or you can just hot wire then and the controller works. I don't have the line red wire and nothing from my cluster of eyes connects back to the negative. Just trying to figure out how to wire the new one.
Have same issue as juliusdades and some others. Controller is turning on, correct voltage and wiring at hall and throttle but motor is does not move or make a sound. Have tried all 36 possible phase combinations, nothing, no output to motor at all. Can you please verify if this is same problem and also that purple wire is learn and needs to go to 12v as stated?
THERE IS NO LEARNING WIRE, THE PURPLE WIRE (HIGH BRAKE) THAT GOES TO 12V ONLY GOES TO 12V WHEN YOU APPLY THE BRAKES LIKE HOOKED TO THE 12V BRAKE LIGHT BULB AND THIS DISABLES THE MOTOR.

Also, I am aware the purple wire is "possibly" h brake. Funny thing is, Sabvoton say it is h brake but it that it also needs to be connected to batt + at first. Second funny thing is I connected it as jd says and controller now runs motors very very smooth LOLOL, though it seems speed limited. My controller also has single grey wire. Seems knowbody knows anything about these things including sellers and suppliers, when you ask for manual or anything you always getwrong diagram.

After buying several of this style controller and after much homework I have found: 1) white wires are in fact learning wires and no one knows how this works until now. 2) the high brake line can accept 12v (as low as 8v if fact) to full battery voltage. 3) I have figured it out, for the most part, and now have controllers working at correct voltage which has been the problem. My battery is 60v and controller has been thinking it is 72v battery because it was not learning what voltage battery. Because of this controller was going into lvc while battery is still almost fully charged. I now know how to fix this and on these controllers it is not as simple as "just" connecting white wires. I need to do a video lol. Have a nice day.

Connect self learning pins to each other and apply power (or turn on ignition) If the wheel start turning in wrong direction, disconnect the self learning pins and connect again (Keeping power applied - Ignition on) Wait for 10 secs and turn ignition off. This is gonna do the work.
To be clear for those not following I now have bought 6 of these all said to be for 60V and none have been. Video has been taken to support this for purpose of refunds which have been successful. I am using 2 of these that I have tricked into working with 60V battery.

I live in the IE also and I have this controller and I hooked everything up but as soon as I apply power the motor spins...the throttle and switches and speed modes aren't working. Have any idea what the problem can be?

THE SCREW ONLY SECURES THE RUBBER COVER ON THE DONGLE CONNECTOR TO THE BOX, BUT BETWEEN THE SCREW AND THE LABEL IS A COMMUNICATION LED.
Have you put a dc amp meter with max reading to see if it actually puts out 80a? The 3000w is ~40a im guessing that what it can handle constant? Did you figure out how to program it? I want to buy one too but need to be able to program it.

When I send a signal to the high brake wire the controller do not regen, it just stop sending power to the motor.

WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO DO IS BYPASS THE CUTOFF VOLTAGE WHICH WOULD DAMAGE THE BATTERIES, NOT ADVISED. HOWEVER IT MAY ALSO FRY THE CONTROLLER INSTANTLY AS WELL, MOREOVER IT WOULD NOT HAVE ANY ADVANTAGE AND WOULD NOT IMPROVE PERFORMANCE EVEN IF IT DID WORK AND NOT FRY THE CONTROLLER. I SAY DO NOT TRY IT.

Hi fellow veteran,
I purchased a 48v 750w rear hub Chinese ebike and I am attempting to add a second front hub motor with a cycle analyst and shunt to be connected to 1 battery.
I have 2 of these controllers for 2 hub motor controllers and understand that both need to be wired for power, motor and hall sensor lines.
Only 1 controller will need to connected through the throttle to activate the motors and I will adjust the amps through the cycle analyst.
My issue is the rest of the accessories, head & tail light, directionals, brake light, speedometer/battery display, pas, brake switches are all different color wires from the original and new controllers. Also the wires are used for all the accessories are the dongle cables so i cannot see which color is coming from which switch as they are all inclosed into a junction type dongle where 4 or 5 dongle cables from the handlebars go in to the junction an 2 come out going to the controller. And as you know, the wiring diagram you showed on the video I have as well, none of the wires are marked for accessories.
Can you advise me on how to proceed with this.

LEAVE THE ORIGINAL CONTROLLER ALONE AND MAKE A "Y" ADAPTER FOR THE BATTERY SO YOU CAN POWER THE SECOND CONTROLLER. Fwiw, another one of these controllers just arrived. This one advertised and "labelled" as 60v-72v. It is 48 V and 72V only.

THERE IS A JUMPER CONNECTOR YOU CONNECT TOGETHER TO PUT IT IN 72V MODE, OTHERWISE WITHOUT IT IS 60V MODE.

YES, AND MORE RANGE AND EASIER ON THE MOTOR. LESS WASTED POWER.
sine wave always beats square wave or so-called "modified" square wave (which is very slightly less ugly square wave) in terms of noise, efficiency and durability of the motor and the controller. Usually, mostly. It's a bit like the wild west out there for quality control.

Fwiw, the white wire "is" learning, when connected the controller learns the motors phases/timing, there many many combinations.

i have an eGrace (2018) Nova Motors eRoller 72V 3000w / 45kmh. I think the controller ist faulty, because everytime i reach 35kmh (high setting) the Motor&Display goes to zero Energy for 5seconds but 12V works normal always. On Low (25kmh) theres no problems.
When i buy a replace Controller (same specs) how to Set it to max 45kmh or is it out of the box?

VERY RARELY DO ALL CONTROLLERS MATCH ON THE CONNECTOR TYPES, IT IS BETTER TO MATCH THE FUNCTION WIRES TOGETHER AND CHANGE THE CONNECTOR TO MATCH BUT THE FUNCTIONS ARE CLOSELY DONE THE SAME. THE HIGHER PRICE CONTROLLERS HAVE A BLUETOOTH OR USB PROGRAMMING FEATURE TO SET YOUR PARAMETERS YOU WANT. AND 35KPH IS A SLOW 21.75MPH THAT 3000W SETUP SHOULD GO NEARLY 50MPH OR 80KPH, FOR 35KPH YOU WOULD ONLY NEED MAX OF 350W JUST ABOUT 10% OF WHAT YOU HAVE.

Really not sure what else too try as I think it is a clone as it has no port connected for programming and now the seller has gone quiet! Bike was working fine with the 2 previous 1500w controllers.
"It has no port connected"... Do you mean that it actually doesn't have a physical port on the PCB? Because the actual casing has a "slot" for a programming port. I have just purchased this and have not yet received it so I can not check myself :)
@@osgars yes correct it has no port. The pcb has the holes to insert 1 but it's not been fitted. Hope yours is correct once it arrives.

NOT SURE, BUT THE SPEEDOMETER ONE WIRE OPERATES ALL MY DISPLAY DATA, SPEED, GEAR/POWER LEVEL, BRAKE INDICATOR. I GUESS AS A DATA WIRE YOU COULD TRY IT WITH LOW CHANCE OF HURTING ANYTHING.

MY M1P MOPED HAD A 60V 2500W MOTOR WITH A 35A CONTROLLER AND WEIGHS OVER 100 POUNDS AND ME OVER 260 POUNDS AND TOP SPEED WAS ABOUT 30MPH, THIS CONTROLLER AND A 72V 70AH BATTERY GOT ME UP TO OVER 50 MPH, NOT KPH. WHEN IT REACHED 51 MPH IT WAS STILL PULLING AND I TAPED OUT IN FEAR OF MY SAFETY, IT WAS WELDED TOGETHER IN CHINA. I AM ESTIMATING THE 2500W MOTOR IS NOW ABLE TO PRODUCE ABOUT 6000W, HANG ON WHEN TAKING OFF.

I have this controller. The only thing I can't figure out is which wires I would connect to a keyed switch.
At @2:30 I show you the orange wire that is the (key switch) wire. Orange wire to switch then switch to full + positive power (60v/72v).
I have the older version like the schematic on a bike that works. I just take the orange and maroon to a switch or you can just hot wire then and the controller works. I don't have the line red wire and nothing from my cluster of eyes connects back to the negative. Just trying to figure out how to wire the new one.

Have same issue as juliusdades and some others. Controller is turning on, correct voltage and wiring at hall and throttle but motor is does not move or make a sound. Have tried all 36 possible phase combinations, nothing, no output to motor at all. Can you please verify if this is same problem and also that purple wire is learn and needs to go to 12v as stated?
THERE IS NO LEARNING WIRE, THE PURPLE WIRE (HIGH BRAKE) THAT GOES TO 12V ONLY GOES TO 12V WHEN YOU APPLY THE BRAKES LIKE HOOKED TO THE 12V BRAKE LIGHT BULB AND THIS DISABLES THE MOTOR.
@@TechKnowCSS Ok then, tell us what is wrong? Same as juliusdades i have several scooters and motors, I can get all to work with each other exept this controller. Also, I am aware the purple wire is "possibly" h brake. Funny thing is, Sabvoton say it is h brake but it that it also needs to be connected to batt + at first. Second funny thing is I connected it as jd says and controller now runs motors very very smooth LOLOL, though it seems speed limited. My controller also has single grey wire. Seems knowbody knows anything about these things including sellers and suppliers, when you ask for manual or anything you always getwrong diagram.

MY SINGLE PURPLE WIRE WORKS PERFECTLY AS A HIGH BRAKE WHEN 12V IS APPLIED FROM MY 12V BRAKE LIGHT. AS FOR YOUR SPEED RESTRICTED PROBLEM TRY HOOKING UP YOUR 3 (GEAR/POWER LEVEL) WIRES. I DESCRIBE THEM WELL IN THE VIDEO.
@@TechKnowCSS Wow, upper case, you may want to retract that. After buying several of this style controller and after much homework I have found: 1) white wires are in fact learning wires and no one knows how this works until now. 2) the high brake line can accept 12v (as low as 8v if fact) to full battery voltage. 3) I have figured it out, for the most part, and now have controllers working at correct voltage which has been the problem. My battery is 60v and controller has been thinking it is 72v battery because it was not learning what voltage battery. Because of this controller was going into lvc while battery is still almost fully charged. I now know how to fix this and on these controllers it is not as simple as "just" connecting white wires. I need to do a video lol. Have a nice day.
@@akabirdman3290 AS FOR CAPS, I USE THEM AS A FONT CHOICE AND IT HELPS ME SEE WITH MY POOR EYESIGHT. I HAVE NO ISSUES WITH MY CONTROLLER. AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE THERE ARE MANY CLONES OF THIS CONTROLLER AND YOU HAVE GOTTEN A BAD ONE. THE REAL ONE IS A SABVOTON ML7280, THEY NOW HAVE A ML72150.
My batter is 60v, 67.2v fully charged. 72v battery lvc 62.5v
I ADDED A 4S IN SERIES WITH MY 60V TO MAKE 72V FOR MY FIRST 72V BATTERY.
I have this controller and installed a 80v baterry and Works Very well.
The baterry instaled was a 19S lipo baterry. Fully charged hit 79.8

@@akabirdman3290 I checked and saw that my controller does not have the wire to sellect the voltage. Anyway it is working with the 19S lipo baterry

WORKED PERFECTLY AND LOST NO FUNCTIONS AND ADDED CRUISE CONTROL THAT WORKS PERFECTLY, WENT FROM 60V 20 AH BATTERY AND A 35 AMP CONTROLLER AT 31 MPH TO 72V 50 AH BATTERY WITH A 80 AMP CONTROLLER AT NOW 52 MPH WITH A CRAZY LAUNCH SPEED, I FRICKEN LOVE IT!!! THAT PINK SPEED WIRE HAD ALL THE DISPLAY DATA IN IT TOO ADDED TO THE SPEED SIGNAL LIKE WHAT POWER LEVEL 1-2-3 AND BRAKE INDICATOR AND THROTTLE INDICATOR, EVERYTHING.
ALSO THE REVERSE AND CRUISE CONTROL WIRES ARE SWITCHED WITH EACH OTHER ON WHAT THEY SAY ON THE CONNECTORS PICTURE THEY PROVIDE.

@@Agnin1 IT IS TOP SECRET, BUT I BUILT MY OWN WITH 71AH WITH 80A CONTINUOUS AND 160A PEEK DRAIN. IT COST ME LESS THAN $450.00 (22" X 7.5" X 3.75"). BUT IF YOU GOT THE MONEY TO PAY TO GET A GOOD ONE, GET THE ONYX 72V 42AH BATTERY.
@@TechKnowCSS I have the same 60V 20ah with the 35amp controller setup currently that maxes out at 31mph. If I swap to this controller will I increase speed or do I need to increase battery size as well?
I didn't get the instruction manual. How did you connect yours? I can't even switch it on.
Did you even watch the video? I talk about the main power wire and to hook it up direct or to a switch/key.
I did connect the key switch (orange cable) to the positive (red) battery and still the wouldn't switch on.
Either you made other major errors or bad wires or bad motor or bad controller, i would have to see it myself in person because without further information i can guess forever, i am not that young.
It can't be wiring or bad hub motor. I just tried it with my other controllers and it worked fine.
I manage to get the hub turning backwards and forwards (self learning/angle test). How long should I keep going with it? The hub spins backwards and forwards and when should it stop??
What does the blinking light on the controller mean....
I WIRED UP MY CONTROLLER THE RIGHT WAY AND NEVER GOT A RED BLINKING ERROR LIGHT. I DO NOT KNOW. BUT IT MIGHT MEAN YOU DO NOT HAVE THE HALL SENSORS HOOKED UP.

@@TechKnowCSS hi,i tried doing this in several configurations,and it simply refuses to change direction,when i turn the bike on,itll self test (spins the wheel a bit) in the right direction,and then it reverses the moment i use throttle. could you tell me if there is a self test pin i can short or something?
Connect self learning pins to each other and apply power (or turn on ignition) If the wheel start turning in wrong direction, disconnect the self learning pins and connect again (Keeping power applied - Ignition on) Wait for 10 secs and turn ignition off. This is gonna do the work.
To be clear for those not following I now have bought 6 of these all said to be for 60V and none have been. Video has been taken to support this for purpose of refunds which have been successful. I am using 2 of these that I have tricked into working with 60V battery.
i have bought 3 of them, and all of them are different inside lol. one of them, is literally 100% identical to a sabvoton ml7260s, the others are close, but have different pinout for the wiring.
Also can you actually program the controller or is it locked

I live in the IE also and I have this controller and I hooked everything up but as soon as I apply power the motor spins...the throttle and switches and speed modes aren't working. Have any idea what the problem can be?

@@Szechaun_Don you need to disconect the white wires. they are "learning" wires, not "soft start". I was having the same issue.
