Side note for anybody watching: If you chose NOT to remove the humanoid root parts from each of the characters, make sure you connect the main humanoid root part of the Scene model to them instead of the torso. Also make sure to make the humanoid root parts have different names and unanchor them.

@@gamedevelopmentstudiobyark3294Clothing cannot be added straight onto the avatar, so you will need to use either textures or meshes instead to replicate clothing.

I mean, maybe you can have a separation rig with layered clothing that is scripted to have its limbs in the same place as one of the multiple avatars, but I haven't tried that so I don't know if it would work.
it just says there are multiple motor6d's connected to the torso's when i try to go on the animation editor how do i fix this?

Truly one of a kind. Almost all of the tutorials in Roblox is just blender and moon animator, But this one is just different and very easy to understand.

@@ChickenNuggetManCNM Moon animator can be cleaner if you paste it and to most people its easier cause it moves where you want to and you don't have to go frame by frame if you put the keys far it will be slow to get to the position put if you put them close they go faster, another thing about it is that it doesn't just snap it always moves to that spot so you don't have to every milisecond. another thing is MOON ANIMATOR IS VERY VERY COMPLICATED when you see the settings and etc the cameras everything is just very weird .

How do I do it with objects? no tools, parts and a rig
can you make your rig have a shirt and pants? even tho i put the humanoid my rig still doesnt have any clothes. also, i cant create joints with the humanoidrootpart and the humanoid. pls help.
joints can only be made from the rootpart, not the humanoid itself; also i dont think you can add clothes but you can add textures that look like clothes; make sure to use rig edit

@@angelopikopikoClothes are designed to work by being directly attached to an avatar, so it isn't compatible with this technique. Something you can try is to get clothes meshes and use rigedit to create welds
What do you do when the two torsos are affected by multiple Motor6ds(whatever that is)

This might be a teeny tiny little bit late, but i use the avatar insert plugin, and every time i delete the humanoid part, the clothing dissapears and the body parts become... shiny??..
Dont know how to fix this, i would really really appreciate some tips on this
The humanoid contains information about the character, such as the clothing and body textures. To fix this, you will need to manually texture the parts of the avatar.
1 year late but i hope you answer i have a model that i rigged myself and trying to animate it it works fine EXCEPT for the sword. The character has a sword and shield yet it works fine but WHEN I TRY TO MOVE EITHER THE ARM OR THE SWORD it starts to break and move EVERYTHING ELSE on the model except that arm and sword in a weird way that doesn't make sense at high speed
Im basically a noob so do you have any idea what could cause it? Could it be the fact it DOESN'T have any snchored part and either any rootpart
Couple of things:
1: Make sure you attached joints and not welds.
2: Try rigging the sword and shield to the arms of body parts they are attached to instead of the HumanoidRootPart.
3: Inside of most parts in a rig is a Motor6D (these are the joints of the avatar). When you select the Motor6D, in the properties window there should be a section for Part0 and Part1. Part0 is the main part (typically the part the Motor6D is inside of) and Part1 is the part the motor is controlling. Make sure that the part the motor is inside of is Part0 and that Part1 is the part the motor is controlling.
Also, make sure that the rootpart of the scene is anchored but nothing else it.
when i press the animation editor and press on the rig it says "rig error(s) detected, the following parts are affected by multiple motor6ds:" then it says the torso name, how do i fix it
I just removed the plug-in and it worked fine, though for some reason the torso was not selectable.
wait nvm I remember that I was trying r15, Unless you are aswell then try that.
hey why does mine says the following parts are affected by multiple motor6Ds:
Torso 1,Torso 2
The Torsos should have Motor6Ds inside of them. There are the joints that control the other parts. In order for them to work properly, the Torso must be Part0 and the limb the motor connects to must be Part1. If it is the other way around you get an error.
One slight issue: deleting the "humanoid" on a character:
1: removes all the character's clothes
2: breaks all their accessories
3: turns the character blocky
I would really appreciate some help on how to fix this
Edit: I spent two hours trying to figure this out and it turns out that it works perfectly fine with R15, but completely breaks R6. So if you're using this method, either use R15, or use a character without anything that gets completely broken
I've heard about these issues and there isn't a very easy fix. You can try these:
1: Replace the body parts of the characters with meshes.
2: Replace clothes and hats with meshes
I was able to find a R6 model with meshes instead of parts by looking up "r6 mesh" in models of the toolbox. It stopped it from going blocky, but Idk about the clothes or the accessories. Hopefully this helps.
in the animator when i move something it doesnt creat one of those nodes i just see like scene and nothing shows up on the other side but the animation still works if anyone can help with that please tell me how to fix, it also doesnt let me move the torso of the models
This could be a lot of different things; try going through some of the replies I made helping people with issues and see if any of those fix your problem
i figured it out. i had to scroll pretty far down into the comments to find it so if someone else has this problem hopefully this will help. heres is the comment i saw that helped me solve it:Did you make sure to rig the Torso to the HumanoidRootPart? How about while the animation starts an object will disappear when we want it to disappear

When I rename all the body parts, it removes all the clothing off the NPC, is it possible to fix that?

Go into the torso of each character and check the Motor6Ds. In the properties window, make sure that the torso is Part0 and the limb the Motor6D controls is Part1

screen record or write a script that plays the animation in game so it covers the full screen. that is a bit outside the scope of this tutorial, though but you can probably find some great resources on it
When I try to rename the body parts it always makes the body part weird.
you did make sure it was r6 right?
@@ChickenNuggetManCNM Yeah, I was animating in R6, and when I renamed the body parts, it just removed the clothing and changed the texture.
@@IAmCringeMelodyyySorry but I forgot to mention that it kind of tweaks out if there are clothing and body textures. try using meshes and creating welds to the body to substitute for clothing and part textures on each individual part rather than body textures. Normal clothing and body textures only operate on normal r6 bodies that have the expected number of body parts, so you need to improvise to include those.

it was the limbs and i this noob 1 all limbs had left1 arm right arm 1 and the noob 2 had right arm 2 too and

Why it is not working for me:(
I've heard one other complaint about this; it works for pretty much everybody else. Consider checking these things:
-Make sure no parts have the same name
-Make sure that you have replaced the HumanoidRootParts of the characters with the new one.
-Make sure you removed the rig's clothes
@@ChickenNuggetManCNMWhen you say the parts that have the same name does that mean in one area or the entire workspace cuz for me i did everything you said and it says “Rig Error(s) Detected”
