Pattaya Beach Walking Street. Pattaya city in Thailand is a popular tourist destination. People from all over the world come here to enjoy the vibrant life of this city. It has blue sea, golden beach, bars, massage parlours and night clubs. Walking Street near Pattaya beach is the host of several night clubs. It is mostly visited by the party goers. Although prostitution is illegal in Thailand, Pattaya is marked as a city for sex tourism. Once it was known as the Sin City. However the place is safe. People here are very humble and tourist friendly. Nice place to spend holidays.
Brief History of Pattaya city ---- Before 1960 it was a remote village. People used to live their livelihood by fishing in the sea. In 1960 during Vietnam war American military officers used to come here to take rest and for recreation. Guest houses, hotels, shops etc started developing after that and gradually it became a city within 10/15 years. Name of this city spread by word of mouth and tourists started coming here from all over the world.
It is a cheap, budget friendly tourist destination. However, there are plenty of luxurious hotels, resorts etc as well.
