I follow true crime possibly a little too much, and I have to completely reverse my thoughts from that before I go to sleep, so I watch you two on Sundays or Mondays. Your beautiful voices, positive attitudes, being out in nature, finding little treasures, cleaning up the treasures, researching the history, crafting and making jewelry, all of it, is just so wonderful. All that dark is erased. Depressed people should give it a try and watch your videos.
Dear TT's crafts 👍👌👏 Very well said, very well indeed! Exactly my thoughts too. Glad that you already did all the writing work! 😁 Best regards, luck and health in particular.
I’m 67 now and used to play jacks in Australian school playgrounds often. Our knuckle were actually bones joints and not fancy ceramic ones. When we got a little older we bought them from the corner shop and they were made of plastic, all different colours with game rules.
🎉YES! Let’s get that 100 K!!! ⭐️ Wow! What a day, I’m exhausted! 😂 So many amazing finds! My favorite is the doll with the bonnet and the amber glass thingy. How do you even find 2 pieces of the same brooch 2 months apart 😱! That’s amazing! Great fun today! Thanks for taking us along. 🌻
I think you two could talk forever about your finds and I would Never get bored. I really enjoy watching this, and your other channel too. Your excitement is quite contagious. Thank you so very much.
Dear CJ Gia 👍👏👌 Very well said, very well indeed. Additionally exactly what I think too and what I commented. Best regards, luck and health in particular.
Agree with you Gail, that blue ink bottle was THE find, a beauty! A close second was the chain with the two hooks, the two of you cleaned it up beautifully.
Wonderful just amazing finds. Absolutely my favorite is the hooks and chain and the face of Jesus. It was so nice to see he still had a coloured face as on the video I thought he was just white You'll have to go back there soon as it was a great day. Stay safe you two. Sending wishes.
As always we love seeing you two ladies. Great finds. Looks like Jesus cleaned up nicely😀. That chain was really cool. You two could ramble on longer and we wouldn't be bored at all. But leaving us wanting more next week is working😉😄 God bless you both.
Hi Wimmens! It's uncanny that you mention a washing- of-the-finds video. I was thinking last night how much I would love to see how you clean your finds, and that I should remember to mention the idea of a cleaning video, but you beat me to it! 😁 Whenever you find the time to do one, I'll be in the front row ready to watch!! Of course, I have now completely forgotten what my 2nd point in this comment was going to be, 🙄 I'll return when it comes to me. Thanks for another TERRIFIC video❣ Youse guys have definitely found your jam, and are at the top of your game! (Pls excuse the torturously mixed metaphors.) I look forward to visiting with you each week and am so grateful to you for taking the time, energy, and effort to create something wonderful for us (& the rest of the 🌏 ) to watch each week. We really appreciate it. HERE'S TO 💯,000‼‼❤
Wonderful! This episode I wouldn’t mind you “ blathering on “ I loved all your finds. I’m 50, and I’m a scavenger myself. I see such treasure in what others throw away. Thank you for bringing us along.
I love your channel I want so badly to go out searching for treasure with you. My mother was my best friend and she passed away several years ago I miss her so badly and watching you two together brings a sweet feeling of longing to have her back with me. When I watch the end of the videos your home seems so cozy and the view outside is mostly raining I picture how cozy your house is and the two of you having a warm drink sitting and looking at your haul 🥲. Well enough of that , love your channel and your store !. I dream of someday coming to your country and spending an entire vacation mudlarkung ❤. Stay well & bless you both.
So sorry for your loss. My mom passed 20 years ago, and I still ache for her every day, we used to have such great times together, sometimes adventures, sometimes just sitting quietly on the beach. Gail is certainly doing something right, as her relationship with Alex is beautiful. ❤
Thankyou so very much for taking us with you on this wonderful treasure hunt! My favorite place to be is on the bottom of a harbor in Maine, at low tide. Alive and well preferably!😆 and treasure hunting. Like you we would take our finds back to the cabin, clean them and display them! Such great fun! I so enjoy your Mud Larking experiences. ♥️♥️🙏🏽🙏🏽😊😊🦋
I discovered that the stream across from my house was a bottle dump. I found a little girl, it’s hollow and I think the base was to stick into a cake. I also found a little ink bottle and I made a cork for it and put some ink in it, it’s so adorable! I have found other things but those are just my favourites. I discovered another bottle dump from around 50-60s and I found a little stick that says stop the clock, go to beamish which was perfect because I love going to beamish, I have been going there my whole life I think it is why I like old things. I found out about mudlarking when I came across your channel and I love watching your video’s and learning about the history behind everything you find! 🥰
It is amazing to follow you on your trips. I always feel I am on the hunt. There are times I see things that are missed. There were a couple of times I noticed a coin and it is like I say look you missed something great. Since being in America just can't help but love the journey. Most of all I enjoy when you put all your treasures on the table. It is a lot of fun. Be safe and thank you 3/2023
Treasures, treasures, and more treasures! What a fantastic collection of pipe bowl’s, bottles, little dolls and more. You both have the perfect eye for finding tiny things! Great stuff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Awesome day, a wealth of treasures, what a joyful day you had - so exciting 🤩🤸🤸♂I almost expected you to be doing cartwheels Alex. Loved everything, couldn't pick out a favorite. Interesting how the heart pipes had a monopoly in your area. Have a good week, hope you don't get too wet!!
British summertime is here now ladies. A whole extra hours day light increasing as the spring and then summer months come along. Lots of extra time to spend Larking. Yey🎉 Wow didn't you find so many different and very interesting things. I too found the big chain lovely and was extremely impressed with the work both of you did on the metal work. It looked fab when cleaned up. Loved the idea of hanging a basket from it full of draping flowers. That will look beautiful. That little doll in her bonnet was a brilliant find. Theres only one good thing about rain, it does wash the soil off goodies hiding in the soil. That doll stood out so well. Obviously washed out, ready and waiting for you to find it Alex. I really look forward to seeing you go back there soon. There seemed to be some rich pickings to find. Good hunting on your next lark ladies. Always enjoy joining in on your larks. Thanks. X
Omgosh that little girls face is just adorable. I can’t help it but she looks just like the Mean girl from little house on the prairie lol I think her name was Nellie Oleson lol makes me giggle. 😂 she even wore a bonnnet like that! Fancy hair and bows lol what a delight! Great finds today ladies. Loved every minute ❤️👍
Dear lovely Northern Mudlarking Ladies. 👍👏👌 Congratulations for a ton of really, really great finds. Very well done again and as always (video and work). I absolutely love the roundup at the end and I'm very thankful that you decided to do this again. But please kindly allow me to ask (because you mentioned it): Why can't you talk about your finds for "hours"? I bet that for instance half an hour would be loved by nearly all of your fans/viewers. And not only because you both have wonderful voices. We all love your excitement while showing us the "treasures" and we all love to hear about the interesting things you researched. Really great stuff. Therefore I say: The more you two talk about your finds, the better! 💚💚 This time my favourite find is the former lusty rump (and not only because of the torn words). I love this wonderful hand forged rustic chain with the two beautiful shaped hooks. You really did a fantastic job resurrecting it. Everyone could see, that it was a lot of effort and hard work to let it look sooo good again So much for the lusty rump! By the way: Every time you say bottle stopper, or even worse = bottle stopp, I'm a bit sad and my soul kinda hurts a bit. Simply because I sooo much love to hear you say your famous words "stopple bopper" or stopple bop and mod carble etc.. In this video it didn't happen, not even one time, sigh. 😁 ;-) As always: Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards, luck and health in particular. To both of you of course! Post Scriptum: Congratulations for reaching 90.000 subscribers. Well deserved, ladies. 100kay are now not far away! I'm eagerly looking forward to see you celebrating this milestone.
My favorite finds are the Hollidge bottle and the commemorative coin, which I guessed showed a ship before you cleaned it. And of course, my two favorite crafty ladies, Gail and Alex! Cheers!
Lets do it!!! Love hearing those words. What an Awesome haul Ladies. I love the dolly, the crystals and the lovely ink boat (I think it looks like a house too!)
Hi Gail and Alex, just wanted to compliment you on the crispness of your filming, well done! The amber glass handle reminds me of a pale blue glass basket my sister had in the 70's. I think it was meant to be a candy basket. It was truly hideous! 😂
I’m so happy you picked up the crystals! I think they’re absolutely beautiful and I could look at them all day long! Thank you for another exciting and fun video, ladies!! 💕
I always enjoy your lovely adventures but more so than that I enjoy that mother and daughter share them with one another ❤ such a blessing to have a shared love of mud larking and getting to enjoy each other’s company. It’s a beautiful thing ❤.
Hello Northern, mudlark’s, I love watching your videos. They are so calming. And I love all the little treasures you find. Can’t wait for the next one. Kathyi
Hello 👋 from New York USA you Guy's found Some Amazing Finds my Favorite Definitely Was the Crystal's the Ink Bottles The chain ⛓️🔗 and the Decorative cut Glass Bottle Thank you for Bringing me Along with you Guy's I can't wait to see What you Find Next 😊
This is some of the most soothing, wholesome, and fascinating stuff. The husband and I are in the US, so it's less prevalent here, sadly. We mostly hunt for shells and fossils and rocks in my area, but sometimes stumble onto some lovely sea glass and the occasional oddity. Our only common find that way is little action figures, which, while modern, are silly and fun. Most people I know think of going places to see the sights; we get giddy over the prospect of digging around for hidden treasures and forgotten things. I keep grinning as I watch and listen since I make things as well, and so often I'm thinking exactly the same thing -- this would be a great pendant! This would make a great ring! -- and that's such a delight.
Super , super day. Just loaded up on so many great finds, and all were lovely . Loved being out with you today , thanks for sharing Gale and Alex .💞💫🧡🤎
There are only five mudlarks I now follow as two died, three upset me and three were sort of boring. YOU are not boring, and I enjoy going on your trips with you. My wish is I live long enough to travel to the UK area and touch my roots. But I am 73 now, and beginning to have health issues. So I search for a few more mudlarks that will quench my thirst for adventure, culture, and entertainment. I found a frozen Charlotte like yours with the bonnet, no arms either, but about 1/2 the size. It was in an Antique Mall in a small town in Nebraska, USA. Happy Hunting!
Your comment really resonated with me, Alex and Gail are one of the few mudlarkers I continue to watch. While everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinions, I recently UNsubscribed to a mudlarking couple, because three recent videos in a row, they felt the need to bash a young lady they don't know, who's done nothing to them, and who lives on another continent. 3 times in a row was just too much.
Hi girls,I love the finds,I also have the necklace in blue in a chain. All those beautiful finds,I also like that stipe bead.have a beautiful week my girls.
This was a fun day at the shore! Thank You for taking us along! Funny antidote....my husband and I walk each morning on paved paths through our neighborhood which is in a forest (Houston, TX area) Yesterday,, I spied a yellow, plastic pony bead. To myself, I said in Gail fashion, "It's a BEAD!!!" Made me smile! I so enjoy your treasure hunting! I would be nice to see how you clean everything so nicely! Also, where and how you store all of your treasures.
Great fun. I wish we had dumps and foreshore like you do. I love looking for history in the dirt. Can't wait for 100k. Love to see your finds all cleaned up and laying on the table. Beautiful.
Hello Gail and Alex! Absolutely love your videos, I have been watching for years under my husband's name Mike Y. And always love your shows. Especially your crystal shows and jewelry making Because that is my gig lol. I am a mineral collector and jewelry maker myself. To comment on your crystal finds, I believe they are all quartz points. They can form differently if they have less room in the opening or "pocket" where they grow from silica rich hydrothermal fluids. The pressure of the fluids can also change resulting in different growth patterns in the quartz. You can find clear calcite but it is more waxy looking and either grows in a dog tooth formation or has a flat or botryoidal (bubbly) surface. But I do believe that your cluster is elongated or "tabby" crystals. All quartz forms in massive veins or when in a void they can form into terminated octohedtral points. So the fluid temp, pressure, and space they have to grow are all factors in the formation. If you get a chance look up Herkimer diamonds. I have quite a few of these special quartz formations that are terminated on both ends. And quite a few have the tabby or tab form. Usually crystals will grow from the surface of the rock lining the void or pocket. But in the case of double terminated crystals they usually form free floating in the fluid and not touching any sides. Especially those found in the Herkimer new York area. You can go to area 51 mines (or area 52)website on google and order bags of diamond dirt. This is a small bag of soil containing several double terminated Herkimer (quartz) diamonds. And you can have the fun of going through the soil at home and exposing these beautiful gems by rinsing them in a strainer. They can go from tiny cut diamond size crystals to huge 20 pound double terminated crystals. They are very popular in Han made jewelry because of their natural cut looking beauty, their hardness being a 7 as regular quartz, and the rarity of natural double terminated quartz crystal. It is very easy and inexpensive to order your bag or bags of diamond dirt, and I do believe they will ship to Scotland. Also another fun fact.. when quartz forms with in rich silica rich hydrothermal fluid, they get a purple tint and are called amethyst. When they are yellow they are citrine. And if u find a darker smoky quartz it has turned color because it was formed close to natural radioactive minerals. But do not worry they are not radioactive themselves. I'm not sure if you have ever tried, but taking a short wave uv flashlight (like the uv beast)with you on your larks may provide u with amazing finds at dark. Several minerals, fossils, and even some glass glow bright in the uv light. If u ever find a Grey and black speckled rock that glows bright orange in uv light, it is called fluorescent sodalite, or yooperlite if you find them in the lake superior basin. Your flourite spot should also show some beautiful uv glow. I wish you well on your journey ladies, and I hope to see Gail making some beautiful Herkimer diamond jewelry some time! Thank you for your wonderful spirit and personalities in your videos! It always makes my day better when I see them. ❤
Thank you so much for all the info! I'm fascinated by all kinds of stones & rocks, but would never be able to remember enough to id them. It was especially interesting to learn about the amethysts, citrine, & smoky quartz. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with all of us❣
I have a friend who was deeply immersed in crystals and semi-precious stones. I used to go along to flea markets and such with her to help set up her displays, and, of course, pack them up again at the end of the day. She's gifted me with a number of lovely polished stones, one of which is a Herkimer diamond. I'm very pleased to own it. 🥰
So many great finds! ❤ I think this is your biggest haul from 2023 so far. The medal is definitely my favourite find. It really deserves a place in the window of wonders.
i would be so thrilled to have found the blue and metal lid. I also love the chain cleaned up. Hanging a plant is the perfect use. Thank-you for taking me along on your hunt.
SO. MUCH. FUN. I genuinely love Gail's "lusty rump" chain. Anyone should be pleased to hang a plant from that. Hint from a practiced, cheap, de-ruster: soaking for a few days in vinegar with a bit of added salt can often do a decent job. Afterwards, rub down thoroughly with whatever cheap oil you've got around-- linseed, vegetable, or light machine oil, for example (just not auto motor oil).
So many great finds. I love all the heart pipes! You should sell some of them to your fans! The blue ink bottle is very pretty. Thanks for taking us along for a fun mudlarking day.❤😊
OMG! I'm obsessed! My mum was an avid metal detecorist....she found treasure trove stuff and was out detectoring every weekend....I thought she was mad lol! I want to go mud larking now!!! 😂xx
Thank you for a lovely video once again ladies! I think your mystery clover 🍀 item is a glass belt buckle. My grandma was a seamstress and used to do piecework at home when she was younger. I inherited her sewing machine and button collections, there are many on cards with thier matching buckles and prices for each one. I could spend hours looking through all her buttons and remember doing so when I was a child. I have framed some of them but I checked the backs on some of the larger ones and they appear to have similar markings where they would have had metal sunken into them ready to attach them once made up. I hope this helps! Beautiful finds x
How fun was that?! I would love to see some of your collections in a video, like your stoneware, your quack medicine, ink bottles, all your beads and knuckle bones! I would also love to know what are your all time favorite finds to date!
When Alex found the lil statue w hands in t muff there was a heart shaped rock off to t left. I've come t notice in almost all ur explorations there shows up a heart shaped something on t ground. Ms. Kitty and I so enjoy watching ur explorations and t lil areas u travel thru t get t the site.
As a geologist I can tell you they are both definitely quartz specimens. Thanks for the great videos, it's like ASMR for me.

My favourite piece was actually that sherd of blue glass with the Pontil. That blue is just to die for! X

@@pamelavans5116 Three strikes you're out is two too many in this case. Good for you.
Wow what an amazing haul. The blue ink for the window please, such a beautiful colour and interesting history !
Great fun. I wish we had dumps and foreshore like you do. I love looking for history in the dirt. Can't wait for 100k. Love to see your finds all cleaned up and laying on the table. Beautiful.
So enjoyed this segment and live your excitement at showing your finds.
What an amazing haul! Brilliant finds Ladies, the hooks and chain came out beautiful. I hope you find the rest of that clover piece one day. 😀💗 x
This adventure was so prolific and great fun. Thank you for taking us along and for sharing the history of the items. You ladies are the best
Hello, Ladies.... Wonderful treasures. 🤗 Glad to tag along. 😊 Thanks. Blessings / hugs. 💖
I love it when you find the heads of dolls and animals! I really love it when you find the whole body!
Alex & Gail, you two are very pleasant to listen to. What an interesting array of finds. Be well young ladies.
Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with all of us❣
My internet has been wonky, not sure if my reply posted.

I think this is your biggest haul from 2023 so far.
The medal is definitely my favourite find. It really deserves a place in the window of wonders.
Congratulations on your 90K ladies you so deserve it.❤️🎉🎉
That was SO much fun. What a great outing! ❤❤❤❤
That blue bottle is a dream, such a beautiful color.💙 The jewelry (?) fragment with the clover on it is lovely. Such good finds all around today.😊
A pipe bowl and bead day great finds . Thanks for sharing 👍♥️🗝️
i would be so thrilled to have found the blue and metal lid. I also love the chain cleaned up. Hanging a plant is the perfect use. Thank-you for taking me along on your hunt.
A magical video of hunting treasures. I love you ladies and look forward to seeing you
what a haul! Still such surprises to find...maybe the rest of the black glass brooch!
SO. MUCH.
Thanks for taking us along for a fun mudlarking day.❤😊
What a wonderful haul . I love the back stories on the finds.
Glad you had such a fantastic day. I enjoyed every one 🌿😍
OMG! I'm obsessed! My mum was an avid metal detecorist....she found treasure trove stuff and was out detectoring every weekend....I thought she was mad lol! I want to go mud larking now!!! 😂xx
Wow! That hook and chain cleaned up nice! Great finds Ladies.
What a fantastic day!! I love all the beads and the funky blue bead was a interesting find! Favrore if the day is dolly
Wow what an interesting day you had. So many beautiful finds. Thank you for braving the rain & taking us along. Congrats on 90.2K!!
The string of beads on a chain could be a section of Rosary Beads. I have a turquoise one myself

That's as pleasing a table layout/haul as I've seen you do. I like the ink bottle and the ship's medallion. Thank you for uploading.
I could be totally wrong, but the blue bead chain looks like it comes from a rosary.
