I really wish I could feel them in person before I order them. I ended up getting the Magpul M-lok type 2 rail covers for my BCM and really like them (especially how they wrap around the corners) but I really like the look of the Railscales honeycomb and mini dot. If they made the XOS scales in HTP I'd definitely be all over those!

I got a video coming out with the XOS. Freaking costly… like $80 for a panel but it is nice

I also wish they had a sample pack to test before committing. I notice you said you like the honeycomb but your recent purchase was the dragon pattern. Do you feel one has a better grip than the other? I was going to go with the matrix but reviews on their site says it is very abrasive to a hand with no glove.

Cost $76+ for the g10 xos rail scales plus shipping and tax I was at $90 each single 4 slot. Had to spend around $400 for each rail setup on my rifles 😅

How does the dragon texture feel without gloves? I've heard it's uncomfortable.

Not at all to me. I like aggressive texture on my grips though. It’s best to get locked into your hands.

How hard have you run your ar? How hot did you get your ar and how well does the scales mitigate heat? Thank you very much for info.

Hard enough to burn myself with the suppressor by accident.
The LMT rail is pretty thick and takes a bit to heat up. I have some Scales in an AK and they do a good job with the heat.

Are these grips too aggressive for concealed carry?

I personally like too aggressive but I say no on these. I’ve definitely had more aggressive. These are still pretty mild

After getting some more time with the railscales would you still choose honeycomb over dragonscale pattern?

The HTP are worth the money. Anyone that does knife making knows G10 is insanity cheap. They like to also use the excuse that the cnc takes forever. It takes forever because they’re doing so many at a time. I own a cnc machine, and make my own knife/gun scales. One scale takes a few minutes to make. But it’s their company, consumers are willing to pay it, so it continues. No hate on there hustle though.

I was about the comment the same thing how are these dudes getting away with saying g10 is better on a rifle sure on a knife it is or a pistol grip but for rail scales htp will do the job
