Becket speaks so clearly about how God reaches us…over time, people and situations planting the seeds, and the Holy Spirit moving in. His testimony is beautiful and moving.
Wow. Beckit really has a gift of explaining the transition from darkness to light. That all of us born again believers experience Ty Beckit & Reason to Believe for airing this testimony
I remember when Beckett said he can still struggles with same sex attraction but he leans on the Lord for strength and to keep him on course. We all need to pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17
But the Lord made him with same sex attraction. Unless I missed something, he has never claimed to have been converted in any way by anyone. He was born that way.
As Becket himself said, since the Fall we are all born with sinful impulses, and as Christians we have to fight them. Maybe we're not same-sex attracted, but we have bitterness and hatred in our lives or we long for power. Only the Holy Spirit can help us find true love and purity.

What sets Becket Cook apart from other Christian leaders (if you will) is his HONESTY, openness, a willingness to help those of us who do not nor ever shared that experience - or perhaps sometimes wonder about it all and wish to understand; he provides a way to set all of this in true perspective in light of the Gospel. Really, homosexuality is like any other sin, no worse, no better, and to say or think otherwise is prideful, a sin in and of itself. IF people like Becket Cook can help us understand, we can probably empathize, and thus help bring those so caught up in the lifestyle into the Kingdom of G-d as well. This is probably true. I love Hugh Ross and believe his teachings are accurate. If you watch the debate with Ken Ham you will learn quickly. Ham is wrong unless he has learned differently since I last watched his false teachings.
I watched it twice all the way through and it made me sad. In high school, many decades ago, I was a typical dumbass who called people the F word and accused them of, you know, on a routine basis. But it wasn't until later when I moved to DC that I met actual gay people for the first time. How come they seemed just like me, concerned with paying the mortgage, getting to work on time, and looking for lasting relationships? It finally dawned on me that there was nothing threatening to my hetero world about their non-hetero relationships. If you as a Christian have an issue with gay marriage then don't go to the wedding. This too will pass though, because within my lifetime Catholics couldn't marry Protestants and black couldn't marry white. If you think Jesus doesn't approve of gay marriage, let him decide when everyone meets him eventually.
We have to - if they don't want to listen we leave them. But as a believer you CANNOT let someone wander into the Abyss willy nilly, you gotta at least try ONCE!

For reasons I won't go into here, I've known a lot of priests and nuns in an "off-duty" capacity shall we say. In candid moments one thing they virtually all admitted was how lonely the life of the celibate religious can be when everyone leaves the event or service with family, but they go back to their rooms alone. When I hear him say he's never lonely, I know he's trying to fool us or himself.
@@lisahickey9153 I don't think priests and nuns would need to lie either, but of course they do sometimes as does Beckett Cook too sometimes of course. Good reply.
You sound like someone who believes that sexual intimacy is a necessity in life. Jesus Christ would rebuke you and say "get behind me Satan". There is no Bible rule (or non-Bible rule for that matter) that says all humans must get married so they won't be alone. God made Adam a wife and told them to "be fruitful and multiply" to start the human race. He (God) knows that not all people will have an opportunity to marry for various reasons. If you are a Christian and you are "in Christ" and the Holy Spirit of God dwells in you, then you are never alone. The Church is the family of God. Becket is not (at this time) attracted to females; so he will honor and glorify God in his singleness because Jesus is worth it. May we all want to glorify God in whatever state we are in while on this earth. Peace to you.
@@CarolSpen4000 You sound like someone who knows nothing about the Bible. Paul understood that very few people can achieve celibacy, because it goes against human instincts. That's why he wrote it's better to marry than to sin.

Is Becket going to Hell?
@@mdp_lady Perhaps you could suggest an episode for me?
@@mdp_lady Thank you
We have to - if they don't want to listen we leave them. But as a believer you CANNOT let someone wander into the Abyss willy nilly, you gotta at least try ONCE!
When he decides against, it will be too late to turn
I'm sorry but that's too late you need to find out before you die or you will end up separated from God for eternity read your bible it's all in there xx
I don’t think he would lie or needs to lie. I’m sure he has many godly fulfilling friendships/relationships especially in his church.
@@lisahickey9153 I don't think priests and nuns would need to lie either, but of course they do sometimes as does Beckett Cook too sometimes of course. Good reply.
Maybe he's more popular. Also he has a big family.
If God convicted him of sin, he also would be convinced in his conscience if he lied
I love hearing Becket speak. His testimony never gets old.
Yep. I cry when he talks about the Holy Spirit and his conversion by the Holy Spirit. It is an essential experience to the Christian life and reminds us of when we were saved.
