Josh is amazing! So powerful. And a kind, kind person. And that dance floor happens to be a temporary modular floor over an uneven warehouse asphalt. It shakes in the most challenging way and has an uphill and a downhill along the outer edge. ;-)
Jajajaja jajajaja....WOW....from Chile I senda you a special grreting .... Wonderful dancer...and very, very handsome , perfect expresión.....I love his special Sword Dance.... Congratulations....!!!!ah...about the pair of girls....a little bit freshes!!!???.... jajajajaj Great video!!!!!
I enjoy listening to Scottish music (even though my heritage is sort of Irish, German, French, etc.) I love the sounds of bagpipes and I even to do the Scottish sword dance myself... with plastic swords that is. much safer. otherwise, neat video! ^-^
I've never seen that first step before. I've only ever seen pas de basques to turn on the corners before. Looks like he used to dance (and was pretty good) a long time ago and did this from memory.
It took ages but I found it. A clip with a bloke dancing and no women in kilts! Hey all you Americans who are more obsessive about being Scottish than any Scot...women don't wear kilts. Okay? Thanks:)
Women did actually wear a Arisaid which is basically a great kilt for women! But it was buckled up to contour their skirt and worn a bit different. Yeah, you should read some history mate! I from Kilysth, Lanarkshire by the way so definitely Scottish myself.
@2sick2care I'm American but I know this. I think Americans may simply be confused because they see the female highland dancers in those pleated tartan skirts. My ancestry is mostly scottish but I frankly don't like the whole tartan thing, it's really not my style anyway. I am also aware that is said that tartans being registered to families in a recent invention, and so on and so forth etc.

Been piping and hielan" dancing since the 80ìes, excellent footwork, supreme leg control!!! Enjoyed evry step!!! Tapad leath...
How much skill it must take to be able to do this without looking down at the swords..awesome. US citizen here knew to all things Scottish Love it
You always look at the swords lol, they never teach you to look away. I guess it would take a lot of skill though!

Very talented you lad there. Nice footwork considering how bouncy that stage was!
That was definitely a lot fun to watch!

What is the name of the tune? Could any one know? He is talented
Ghillie Callum
Sorry to be late but it’s called highland sward dance 2&1
Good thing he didn't touch those swords. Wouldn't want to kill his family. ;P It's not an easy dance and the bouncy stage doesn't help.
^///W////^
Love this dance isn t it called the dirk dance
Can someone please explain the role of the guy whose job it seems to be going around smacking those woman's feet?
Why the heck is the ground shaking???
