How does it compare to the KMA Machine's Chief Disruptor? I love the sound of the Red Muck. But I equally love the Chief Disruptor's independent clean volume.

even tension on all strings
... and - due to the even string tension - more tonal definition on the lower strings. A more balanced sound.
actually, the lower strings' tension is stronger, which gives them more definition in the attack. and the higher strings are a bit shorter, which (supposedly) gives it more overtones. That the frets are fanned is kind of a by-product of this approach. I play this dingwall now for 8 years and I can really recommend it. and fanned frets are easier to play than expected...
You don't have to be drunk when you look at it to still get the effects. 🥴
