I just love how some in the gay community pride themselves on being so FABULOUS. Some of us base our entire existence on youth, beauty, cars and other material things. These are images that WE helped to perpetuate. Yet the moment someone outside of the community points them out, we get our panties all in a bunch. There wasn't anything derogatory or negative about what she said. Maybe if she were a WHITE woman, you wouldn't have a problem with her comments, huh? Yeah, so much living "DIVERSITY."

Dude you need to chill the hell out! Vanessa Williams gave a mere portion of her experience with the gay community. I'm sure she has been exposed to other forms of gay life as well. Damn, give the woman a break. You can only fit so much in limited amount of time to speak. I thought it was a great acceptance speach and VERY inspirational. Besides, if WE the gay community want to be viewed a certain way, then WE need to lead by example. Images of DIVERSITY must start within our own community.
