    The absolute cheapest house for sale near me in Bay Area suburbs is 1.8 million. 800k sounds pretty cheap to me

    If you were able to save 200K in 1 year, just do that for 5 more years and buy your home outright. Or save, invest, etc.

    Love the channel but disagree. If you can save 200k in a year just keep paying rent and saving unless you have to own a house. I think renting is a better deal if you can be disciplined enough to save. You can have a million in cash in just 4 years!
