James Calvert in terms of the real NFL that’s how it goes but on madden your a sitting duck for blitz especially this year with the wind up on passes you gotta be able to make plays out the pocket on this game

@@lildagga2064 or know how and when to climb/step up into the pocket instead of running back like most people do to avoide the edge rushers. And if they blitz alot, screens and quick slants can negate that.

Thanks homie I was trying to figure out why my man kept turning into a running back and that's what it was I can't shop in the left trigger but it's beautiful cuz you can turn it on and off you can hit it to start scrambling to get out the pocket and then hit it again and you'll go back to being a passing appreciate that good
I’m confused, to scramble right off the bat behind the line of scrimmage on PS4, what do you press? And how do you take down the passing icons?

When you pull down your passing icons do you need to click L2 again to put them back up

Have no idea. Xbox madden 20. RT does not sprint my qb out of the pocket. Just holds the ball like he is in the pocket but slowly creeping to the outside. Tapping the L trigger does not do anything either. Frustrating! Been in practice mode for an hour and have tried 100 times. Old madden player coming back in. Don’t know why it doesn’t work
Same for me but on pc, idk what to do at this point, the qb is just 2 slow so you can only throw... funny thing is sometimes in practise he just scrambles without pressing anything except the snap button.

How do you stop this? The qb spy takes a guy out of coverage so when the passing icons come back up the wr's crossing (or streaking) are usually wide open.
Swap out a lineman for a fast linebacker and put him in a spy so you don't have to sacrifice someone who should be in coverage.

@@tsongbak There are also some 4-3 coverage blitzes utilizing safeties with 3 deep in coverage which stop QB/Hb run toss options. Sadly, with the next big update this all will probably be moot; as they will probably increase reaction time on run defense, or the efficiency of contains and spy's...
aroperdope yeah I do mix up coverages. I wish I could accurately describe the strategy. It’s not a straight rollout. It’s designed to wait and break from the pocket, send a long and short route to the rrollout side, then he has the choice to run, throw short or throw long. It has to be some kind of combo coverage to stop it. Sometimes it’s the one short route which can be sent deep via playmaker depending on how the qb defender reacts.

Yeah i always like to have a mobile qb. i only play head to head and online franchise and i just finished my custom playbook. to combat the faster pass rushers i am running an air raid/spread hybrid playbook with mostly shotgun and a few pistol sets. i have like 10 singleback or i form formation but the rest are mostly air raid passing formations. Im the dolphins in my league so i gotta get rid of the ball quick lol but i wont be able to run any read option stuff from it with them but his arm strength isnt that great either so its gonna be a lot of quick game concept especially against teams that have x factor rushers.

King Von I don’t think he has the same superstar ability as Lamar maybe he does Idk but I have noticed Murray is much worse then Lamar when it comes to scrambling behind the line

greg l I think unless he’s high 80’s or above for speed, they feel slower than they should be. For example, Deshaun Watson is 85 speed I think, but feels way slower than he actually runs. EA does this to make it fair for defenses
Pix Six then there’s kyler Murray, he has 90 something speed I have had multiple 75 + yd runs with Murray online
L G R W yeah if they have over 90 speed, you can run for like 200 yards a game

You typically shouldn't be throwing anything but crossing routes and short passes with Lamar. Even though he is starting to throw more IRL, He has a noodle arm in Madden.
@@ZangetsuDDR he has 90 throwing power tho lol. In real life his arm is insane. Guy can literally throw it 60 yards in the air with a wrist flick IRL. Can chuck it on Madden too really if needed

When they are using only 2 wr's, cover 1 or cover 2 qb contains. And when they are in multiple wide receiver sets, swap out the middle linebacker with a hard hitting safety in a cover 3 or cover 4. Try putting that safety in a spy. Your bound to get lots of fumbles..................................................................................................Problem solved......................................We'll, that how i solve it anyways. Lol...........
