  • Hi! I'm Aleese Lightyear, a 34-year-old Black American living in Beijing, China. I've been in China for 3.5 years and have experienced life before and during Covid. Take a look at what my average day in China is like when I don't have to work.

    I'm a teacher here in Beijing and am currently off work for the next week because of the October National Holiday. Due to Covid, we are advised not to travel outside of Beijing, so I'm doing lots of things to keep me busy.
    Beijing is now considered low-risk for Covid but there are still day-to-day restrictions, like showing your negative 72-hour covid test upon entry to all public places and wearing a mask in public. You'll see how the mall and taxis have implemented some Covid safety measures.
    Life in China allows you to be cashless and you'll get to see how easy it is to use your phone for everything! A little later I go to a cute cafe where I have a snack and get some work done before heading to my friend's house for dinner and drinks.

    What a cute look into your day is like. I like that you take good care of yourself, eating well, healthy smoothie, working out, self care is so important. Then you get down to business which shows you are disciplined and focussed. Then there’s always time for friends and party time 🥳 Well done on another interesting video Aleese 🙌🏼

      @@AleeseLightyear absolutely! I get that there are small things the internet might not tell people, but I've always subscribed to giving it the good ol' college try and then if you really can't figure it out after a couple of attempts, reach out. You already invest a lot of your energy and time into your channel to give your subscribers information so it's beyond me that folks expect you to dedicate yourself to them and develop a plan for them at the cost of your own time. Like really?

    Hey Aleese just wanted to ask how do you have alipay taxi in English?

    • @AleeseLightyear
      @AleeseLightyear  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Alipay doesn't have a taxi app in English. The app I was using is Didi. Unfortunately it doesn't exist in the app store anymore, so unless you downloaded it a year ago, you can't access it anymore.

    • @AleeseLightyear
      @AleeseLightyear  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use Didi. But Didi is not available to download in China anymore due to issues regarding customer data . At the moment it's the only taxi app in English. But if you use Metuan or Eleme, they also have options for hailing a taxi, it's just in Chinese.
