I can’t believe that someone who went through such things turned to be an abuser himself. I remember his Honda civic and he abused my 14 year old best friend from Wokingham. He is a paedophile clearly not talking about the things he did to underage girls!!!

I bought my 3 sons up on a council estate, and all 3 have good jobs bring home between £1600 and £2000 a month at the age of 18,20 and 22. 2 of them work for the same Gas and Water Engineering Company and the middle son works at Travis Perkins they put him through his fork lift license and when he's old enough they will put him through his lorry drivers license, so there's absolutely nothing wrong being bought up on a council estate.

This is so impotent. 1/4 girls and 1/6 boys are sexually abused in childhood.
It’s so impotent that brave men like Steve step up so we can shine a light in the depraved sickos in society who do this against children.
This kind of thing shouldn’t be brushed under the carpet. As you say Steve has taken his power back.

Just watched the first 30 mins of this.
The pain in this man's eyes is so vivid.
What he has been through is still haunting him so much.
I hope he knows how brave and how amazing he is, for even writing a book about the hell he went through as a child, and to then come on a podcast which is MASSIVE to talk about it as well.
    Brave brave man.
Thank you so much for sharing your story (will watch the rest later).
I can't get over how common abuse/sexual abuse was. 😪 it should never of happened. 😢

Big up Steve , it takes some real guts to go on a massive pod cast and say about what happened to him as a kid , especially being well known and no one knows . You Are Not Alone, written by me
In the quiet shadows where darkness may roam,
A whispered assurance, "You are not alone."
When the weight of the world makes your spirit groan,
Take solace, dear soul, you are not alone.
Beneath the moon's gentle, silvery tone,
In moments of silence, you're not on your own.
Stars weave tales in the night they have known,
A celestial reminder, you are not alone.
In the embrace of friends, when troubles are sown,
Their love, a beacon - you are not alone.
Through the ebb and flow, let this truth be known,
In life's grand tapestry, you are not alone.
When the winds of change around you are blown,
And the path ahead feels daunting, unknown,
Take courage, for in the universe's grand throne,
A whisper echoes: You are not alone.

James , I just can’t believe the ppl you get on your shows .
You’re a courageous man exposing some dreadful stuff, incidents I sometimes can’t believe can happen in your country and mine, Australia. I actually don’t know how bad it is here but the sex trade, drugs and children must be alive and well here . As an older person and a person effected by the Christian education system, I feel blessed that I was a violent young man and was able to defend but I was raped at 15 and it only happened once I’m not sorry for what I did in retribution. What a world, James you’re making it a better place mate and I’m proud of you.

Loved listening to this, Steve you are a brave and courageous man to speak out about your abuse. I wish you all the best with your continued healing, I'm sure your book will help many men.
I also agree with James about relationships, what is it with woman now, stripping off on Instagram to "show" clothes. I'm a woman and I find it disrespectful to be half naked on your social media. How does this make your man feel when his mates are seeing every inch of you. Classy women are far sexier. I agree it's not about your man controlling you it's about respect. Thank you for another fantastic podcast.

I don’t know if Steve will read this but please tell him to look into EMDR therapy, it’s one of the hardest therapies as it unlocks parts of trauma the brain has buried but our subconscious pulls it out through dreams, sounds, smells, locations etc EMDR is better than any medication & any other talking therapy.
It’s not a cure but you get your power back because these demons no longer control your brain.❤

Hi Steve, you've been through hell as a child, and you've come through it. In this interview you csn still see how hard it is for you. My heart goes out to you. Sorry I missed the part where, you said where we can purchase your book?

Reckon this will be a roller coaster of an interview.

This guy might think he comes across as "weak" when talking about his abuse, but it's the complete opposite. He comes across as inspirational. More people have had this shit happen to them than would ever have the courage to talk about it. Thank you for speaking up.
