Wilhelt + Death Tyrant is another fun combo. Wilhelt's decayed zombies attack then get sacrificed. Death Tyrant sees the attacking zombies die and gives you zombies without decayed. Wilhelt will then make more decayed zombies with Death Tyrant's zombies die. I've had a zombie deck for most my time playing that has been Dimir -> Monoblack -> Dimir -> Golgari -> now Sultai with Muldrotha. One other zombie I love is Corpse Harvester. Pay 1B, tap, sac a creature: search your library for a zombie AND a swamp for your hand. Getting a zombie and a swamp is pretty good, but when you are in 2-3 colors, it's even better since it is a swamp, not a basic swamp, so you can search up duals/triomes.
@@Svartsomkato Correct, it is not infinite. Basically it replaces your zombies when they die (mostly). Here are the relevant abilities: Wilhelt - _Whenever another Zombie you control dies, if it didn’t have decayed, create a 2/2 black Zombie creature token with decayed. (It can’t block. When it attacks, sacrifice it at end of combat.)_ Death Tyrant - _Whenever an attacking creature you control or a blocking creature an opponent controls dies, create a 2/2 black Zombie creature token._ How it works: Let's say you have one of Wilhelt's zombies with decayed, then both Wilhelt and Death Tyrant on the battlefield. You attack one of your opponents with the decayed zombie. Either they'll kill it or it will be sacrificed at the end of combat due to it's ability. Since it was attacking, Death Tyrant will see an attacking creature die and create a zombie token (without decayed). Now whenever that zombie dies, Wilhelt will see a zombie _without_ decayed die, create a zombie with decayed, and then just repeat. Hopefully that all makes sense. Not infinite, and can really only do the full loop once a turn cycle, but it is still fun. It becomes really good when you have a sac outlet for the non-decayed zombies and one (or more) of the zombies that drains opponents when another zombie dies.
Grimgrin, Corpse-Born + Gravecrawler + Rooftop Storm + Undead Alchemist to deck out your opponent with one hit and make a LOT of zombie tokens in the process. Doesn't happen all the time, but when it does...
Wanted to point out another infinite interaction I learned about, can't remember who specifically I learned it from but it was in a YT short and I wanted to point it out Plague Belcher + Mikaeus the Unhallowed + Carrion Feeder Basically, have Mikaeus and Carrion Feeder on the field, Mikaeus gives all non-humans undying (if they die without any +1/+1 counters, they return to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on them) Play Plague Belcher, which has an ETB of "put two -1/-1 counters on target creature you control", target the Belcher with this to give it -1/-1 Sac the Belcher with Carrion Feeder, it respawns since it has undying through Mikaeus's Undying anthem effect, when Belcher respawns have it target itself again with its two -1/-1 counters ETB, and because now it's at a net -1/-1, it can proc Undying again. Sacrifice it through Carrion Feeder again to grow Carrion Feeder's stats to an arbitrarily huge number. Also wanted to point out another good card for re-activating ETB's in Blue, being Quasi-Duplicate. It's 3 mana to create a copy of target creature, and it has jump-start so you can discard a card and cast Quasi-Duplicate again from your graveyard to get more value out of a really potent ETB effect like Rot Hulk, or reproduce some good Anthem effects like Death Baron or Zombie Warchief
Varina is the GOAT. Firstly she hits all the triggers you want in esper colours. Draw triggers, discard triggers and lifegain triggers. She gets all the zombies you could want in dimir plus the removal, protection and token support in white. I dont know why anybody would pick any other zombie commander.
Varina my undead Waifu, is my most favorite Zombie Commander; having access to white is amazing. The way Varina works they pair well with a lot of the other legendary zombies. LOL Army of the Damned is so fun and broken in Hidetsugu and Kairi: Make someone lose 8 life and get 13 zombies for free: yes please :P
Shes the zombie queen IMO. First she hits draw triggers which is relevant to blue, discard triggers which is relevant to black, lifegain triggers which is relevant to white then she has a mana dump ability built into her to get more zombies. The discard just fills your graveyard with zombies and when it comes to zombies your graveyard is an extension of your hand. White has alot of token synergies which is great with zombie decks as most use tokens. It gives her all the best removal with white as well. Shes the GOAT IMO
It's probably doable. My concern would be, a fair number of white and blue zombie related cards make tokens- amass, eternalize. And Tobias only cares about non-tokens.

All of what you described sounds NASTY. I dig it
Hey! I like the idea with death tyrant but it’s not an infinite, right? I don’t get it how it loops.

@@AlexOvTheAbyss thanks for an amazing answer! I really like it as well, going to implement it asap

I’m just getting into MTG. I love that you can create decks based around themes you enjoy. I’m trying to put together a swampwalk zombie deck.
Swampwalk zombie would be so thematic!
Wilhelt will be the best zombie commander. I have card draw plus token generator. Easy ways to combo off with him

Im currently building Varina so this is perfect timing!
Hey friend, thanks for thr video! we're going to Amonkhet with Aetherdrift!
I have Braids, Arisen Nightmare as my zombies commander. Definitely one of my favorite decks I've built
I LOVE BRAIDS!
Do you have a list? I would love to see, my braids is discard build, so a zombie one would be fun to try
You forgot Grimgrin, the good thing is he is an zombie too
Wilhelt is my first ever commander and it's my favorite deck, in it I have at least 5 different infinite combos.
Zombies !! Dont even gotta watch the video. Instant LIKE 👍
Hell yeah🧟♂️
man, I wish jason bright and hancock were partners. would be such a fun pairing.
No Grimgrin Corpse Born?!? Blasphemy!
now I know im kicking off my October right B-)

Blue has some tribal related cards, that work well with zombies. And Sakashima's Will, with Wilhelt as the target, is too much fun.
Good points!
Noxious ghoul is my number one zombie
I love Friday might nagic
Nice video but u forgot Rooftop +Acererak combo. 😊 Anyways its very interesting. Zombies its a very large tribe and one of the oldest in the game.
I'm down for anything Liliana related~
A person of Culture I see
And no one talks about Marchesa of the Black Rose as Zombie commander ? :(
On next episode, sea monster
Or...
Vampire, rat, spirit, demon... _Yes, we are doing Halloween special_
I just build a Gorex Deck, which gets more and more a Zombie Subtheme ❤
I Just love my Zombie Turtle to Hit people and give me back my creatures
great advice i should make a varina deck .
Glad to help!
No love for the Snekromancer? Sidisi, Brood Tyrant
It is a pretty good zombie commander!

LOL Army of the Damned is so fun and broken in Hidetsugu and Kairi: Make someone lose 8 life and get 13 zombies for free: yes please :P
Glad to hear that the addition of white does benefit zombies. I have wondered that as most played dimir colors for that type

Acererak the Archlich is fun as a Zombie Commander…😈
Yeah it is super powerful!
Lol I use michonne ruthless surviver. Golgari zombies for the win I guess
thinking about building Dee Kay reanimator attraction deck, is it viable?
Could be
The worse possible option i want to try and build: Tobias, Doomed Conqueror. Azorius zombies? Maybe.
Yeah that would be tough to build
It's probably doable. My concern would be, a fair number of white and blue zombie related cards make tokens- amass, eternalize. And Tobias only cares about non-tokens.
