They used to have almost same values as us but they've drastically cut down their religious burdens. Fathers and brothers protected their women. Sex was seen as part of a committed marriage and part of family building. Marriage was done with the blessings and permission of the father or male guardian for many Christians. Women dressed modestly in public and did not mix freely with men if they were devout. Now it's a free for all: limited to no sense of honor in men for their wives and daughters, brothers themselves sometimes introduce men to become their sisters boyfriends, rampant fornication and adultery, and all of that with zero sense of guilt/shame/repentance.

And frankly I do not need some supposed prophet who married a child and did a bunch of other questionable things giving me a guide to anything and I certainly do not need religion to tell me how to do simple things like going to the bathroom 😂.
As a Christian I can clearly understand why you think these things. I'll be honest Christianity the religion has been flawed by the people that follow it. By the pope's, the scandals that happens in the faith and just horrible people that claim to be Christian yet their actions show otherwise. But that doesn't mean that it looses it's truth. And that it is the truth. For a time I really did consider Islam but I dug into Christianity, not just some surface level analysis but I dug into it. And one thing that I heard you say is that Paul was abolishing the Jewish law for the Romans. Well Jesus claimed not to abolish the law yet fulfil it, therefore why would people who weren't born Jews need to be obligated to the laws of the Jews, by believing and SURRENDURING to Christ you are fulfilling the law. The sad reality is yes Christianity the religion is failing the surrounding world, yet the bible itself says that in the last days lawlessness would increase and that everyone and everything would be wicked, therefore it doesn't come as a suprise when you say that Christianity the religion is failing. One very important thing I do want to point out tho is that yes the religion may be failing but the founder of the religion. Jesus never failed. Christ would never do or support a lot of the wickedness going on in the church. Thanks be to god that people who are true reborn Christians don't rely on the church but on Jesus. Jesus is our rock he is our lord and saviour, and anyone who is truly a Christian should live like him and according to him. With all respect this is my problem with islam. Islam is based on the righteousness of man to get into heaven and win god's mercy. I have to do this and that and say this and that to be a good Muslim. And that is all well and good, yet in Christianity it is not by anything we do that we are saved, but by God's righteousness that was shown through Christ. When you truly believe this, u won't feel obliged to be good, but rather you want to do good as when you believe u receive the Holy spirit of god. Christ is coming again and he is coming to judge the world in all his glory. Don't look at Christ through the shortcomings of the church but do research into his life and what he preached and how he lived. Don't think u know who Christ was by the people that claim to be followers but aren't by their actions. Thank you and god bless
To be clear, in Islam it is not the deeds that will save you, but the mercy of God alone. Narated By Abu Huraira : Allah’s Apostle said, “The deeds of anyone of you will not save you (from the (Hell) Fire).” They said, “Even you (will not be saved by your deeds), O Allah’s Apostle?” He said, “No, even I (will not be saved) unless and until Allah bestows His Mercy on me. Therefore, do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately, and worship Allah in the forenoon and in the afternoon and during a part of the night, and always adopt a middle, moderate, regular course whereby you will reach your target (Paradise).” God is free from need and it is beneath Him that we should ascribe to Him a Son that became incarnate and died for our sins. May God guide you to the Truth.
@@Saad-qe6ku I appreciate the comment. One thing tho I'd like to clarify is that, do you believe God is a just, righteous judge. If so how can God let sin go unpunished. God is perfect I agree. But the reason why he chose, he didn't have to but chose, to send his son, who was him is so that our deserved punishment may be taken upon him who was without sin. I agree that we are saved by God's mercy, but we can only accept that mercy in Christ Jesus and accepting that he took our punishment on him self and that he rose from the dead on the third day. So that we may be right with God through him, who was God

He choose to take it upon himself. God is a just judge and he can't let sin go unpunished. But in his abounding love and mercy he mad jesus who was without sin, sin for us that we may be blameless in god's sight
I was born into, and grew up Catholic, with my dad being a Deacon where his life is pretty much devoted to the Church, and I gotta say that Muslims put about 99% of Catholics to shame. The average Muslim is wayy more pious than the average Catholic. I don't know if this is compensated with the monastic orders and sister convents, but they are dwindling in number also. I would argue that Catholicism used to be on par with Islam but it sure is not anymore.
There is not alot that changes IF the person does not want to change, same goes for all religions i would say. We as christians want a person to pray, have a relationship with god, read the word of god and, fast. This will make you closer to god and fullfill ad the duties he told us to do. God told us to share the word and more. If you read the bilbe got has commanded us to do many things. Al-hamdu li-Illah, we have the clear guidance from Allah in the Quran and from Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. May Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, guide all the people of the book to the Deen. This critique is true of Protestants and most Roman Catholics after Vatican II, however this is definitely not true of Orthodox Christianity. I was Orthodox for 11 years before embracing Islam and it was not for the faint-hearted: fasting and restricting animal products for half the year, long services (standing!) anywhere from one to five hours, seven times of prayer per day, etc. That said, most do not follow this, even though this is still the standard expected according to the ascetic and desert fathers. Certainly not materialist, like the Romish West of Christianity.
And what does Islam offer? the sword, hatred, discord, servitude, ignorance, oscurantism. Both religions are full of superstitions but Christianity and other religions by far surpass Islam in ethics, theology and inspiration.
Assalamualikum Sheikh, Pleass for the sake of Allah, make videos on these topics in ordee to give dawah ti hindus(veg people) & christianity : 1. @@SafinaSociety the prophets grandkids used to climb on him when he was leading the prayer, I don't understand how kids will disturb your prayer. When you think about it, you shouldn't pray then because everything will disrupt your prayer. Here I'll give an example, you're praying at home all alone and you hear a car pull up, and you're thinking who is coming to visit me and after the prayer you find out it's the neighbours visitor.
@@Nihat86 I am not a scholar, neither can I speak for Safina Society, but I would say to not be lead astray with hyperbolic arguments and assumptions in your attempt to understand. As far as I can determine, references for both your case with children *AND* Dr. Elmsay's case with children can be found in the hadeeth. Therefore *BOTH are valid* statements. What matters is the rationalisation between these two hadith and their supposed meaning which requires knowledge of the science of hadith/Fiqh. All of the sciences behind the hadeeth need to applied to make a judgement and _the law may be applied differently depending on the particular context of any given situation._ The crafting of your argument is essentially _invalidating one hadeeth completely_ in deference to another, _without justification_ , and is similar in methodology to the positions islamophobes (not saying you're one) put forward against islam. This is NOT how hadeeth is dealt with, nor in the application of law with respect to matters of islamic jurisprudence. So you need to be extremely cautious in how you approach these things, and you will need to undestand this first before attempting to use any analogy you think you may have that is valid. Even in your example (and from a completely non-scholarly viewpoint), that matter is a personal matter specific to one individual (albeit an exemplary model of character for us), whereas the other relates to a more general communally affecting issue. All of those things have to be taken into account, and carte blanche application of a law across the board for everybody irrespective of circumstances or individual abilities is sometimes not a position of wisdom for a case. Especially if you consider the Nabi (salla lahu alaihi wasalam) being sent as a mercy. There are one or two instances from the hadeeth where the nuances in application of the law is exemplified by the Prophet (salla lahu alaihi wasalam) and shows the hikma, the wisdom behind how the laws are applied while still in reference to many other laws and rules. Anyway, you basically realise the level of mini-exegisis just to explain this simple aspect and I am sure I did not even go into the full depths of what would be required. In situations like this it would be best to refer to a local scholar if you want an opnion or a clarification so they can give you a proper ruling and explanation. (It would be too time consuming for Safina Society, or indeed any YT'er to do that on here for everyone). Anyway this is getting long winded. If any good has come out of this conversation, know that it is only from Allah, and if there are any errors that come out of this conversation then know that it is only from me and my shortcomings, and may Allah forgive me for it. Ameen. Also know that if you receive any hurt or offence from this, know that it is definitely not my intention, and may you forgive me Insha'Allah.
Fallacious argument. You generalise Christianity based on the so-called followers who have largely abandoned the scriptures and follow a cultural version. However this isn’t truly the teachings of the scripture. And likewise there is a so-called religion of Islam in which its followers have largely abandoned the Quran and instead override it with hearsay and culture passed down by their forefathers. Both organised religions have a bunch of members who just follow a cultural version and wear their religion with no real understanding, sincerity, or substance. Pretty much like this video.
Jesus's name is not "Jesus." You can not preserve Jesus's name, let alone to preserve the whole religion. Jesus's name was never "Jesus", you know it, I know it, everybody knows it.

A rather ironic title considering that Islamic states cannot resist vile reactions towards apostates or women not wearing niqab in Iran. Do the Iranian morality police ever fast from their pre-packaged self-righteousness? If the choice is between "nothing" (an arbitrary assumption about the spiritual state of all Christians) versus brutal theocracy, then the former wins easily in that an authentic faith comes into being through freedom.
Obviously this gentlemen who speak on this podcast doesn’t know what truly orthodox christanity is We as a orthodox Christian’s has so many things and laws to follow. Definitely I suggest this Muslim who talk to do better research of Orthodox Christianity ✝️
Such a disgraceful way for a Muslim scholar to speak about another Religion. I am Muslim, but I have a lot of respect for my Jewish and Christian brothers and sisters. I am embarrassed by the superficiality and insensitivity of Muslim "scholars" like this. He has an absolutely surface level understanding of what he is criticizing. May Allah forgive us all...
This video is so misleading to what true Christianity is. We can’t let lukewarm Christians or Christian’s that don’t truly follow the Bible and teachings of Christ be our only source to what Christianity is and teaches.
I love your opening! I see how misguided you are about christianity though, I dont mean to offend but it borders on comical. Learning about the saints is a great place to start learning about how christianity transforms you when you open up your heart to Jesus and reflect his glory into the world in your deeds.
It’s quite telling you resorted to the “good fringe” (colloquially speaking, the saints). This perhaps because you know faith is supposed to pervade the populace, the heart and minds of common people who then manifest the light of their faith in their outward actions and demeanour. The Shaikh is obviously hinting at the vast populace and the visible, tangible lack of positive change. Where is the servitude of Christians? Their prayer? The churches are empty even on Sundays. Whereas with Islam, even the populace, sure they might not be perfect, far from it but even the most layman Muslim and the servitude he displays in terms of praying five times every day, consistent in his charity, repentance, meditation, remembrance of God, charity and pilgrimage, most of these actions every single day, that layman Muslim would probably be at par with the saints of Christianity in their servitude to God. Imagine that, the pauper of Islam is actually a saint. Let that sink in.
Y'all set standards for your "God" which you wouldn't set for yourselves. Injustices that you wouldn't accept for your loved ones, yet you impose them on God. Feelings are great, but relying on them without any intellectual investigation is absurd, especially when it comes to something as important as one's salvation.
As a Christian this is totally untrue. I follow Jesus and strive to be a kind, compassionate, forgiving person. I dress modestly I am just not extreme about it. I have a loving marriage that was done in the Catholic Church. My husband and I go to church on Sundays and we pray daily. You cannot judge Christianity based on secular western culture. Practicing Christians still follow the faith. I find Ramadan fasting unsafe and unhealthy and Islam is just filled with unnecessary rituals. I certainly do not want to be controlled by a “prophet” that engaged in child marriage, kept sex slaves, married many women, engaged in wars, etc. Jesus is the way the truth and the light. Your prophet unfortunately was a beguiler Jesus warned about to lead people astray and keep them controlled all day engaging in senseless rituals while he built his empire and got wife after wife plus sex slaves…..
No where in the Bible does it say that God outright forbids polygamy unambiguously and God says in the Quran that for men who fear not being able to do equal justice between all their wives then they should just marry one. Also, Aisha was not a child when the Prophet married her. Back then, when someone reached the age of 9 they were considered an adult once they started puberty. According to Christians, Mary was 12 when she got married to Joseph who was an old man. Aisha was a very special woman. Bible also talks about how the prophets Moses, Joshua, David, Solomon (peace be upon them) and other participated in war and are praised for it in the Bible so to disagree is disagreeing with the Bible. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) participated in some battles during his lifetime for only less than 8 years. And he changed the meaning of battle. During his time, the pagan Arabs would fight in war with each other for their hatred for one another, but in Islam, the definition of battle is to spread justice and love in society, to stop the hatred amongst each other and the ultimate goal was to bring peace among the people and expel and eradicate the the evil power. During the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), he completely eradicated the evil power from Arabia and saved the people from the false gods and idols and saved people from the darkness of paganism and idolatry and also the evil practice of men burying their daughters alive which was an evil tradition among the pagan Arabs during the time of the Prophet but was also eradicated by the Prophet and he cried about that and was able to stop it permenanrly and the men became among those who showed the highest respect for their women. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) it was his job to establish law and order and bring peace to the world and that wasn’t possible without war first. During the time of the Prophet, the total number of Muslims, Christians, Jews and pagans altogether killed in battle was only around 1,000 compared to hundreds of thousands of people killed among the pagans fighting amongst each other for just hatred for each other and tribal issues they had which the Prophet also ended after they converted to Islam after the Prophet taught them to love one another
@@ryanamalfitano7572 Still I choose follow a man who came in peace and did not engage in wars. Polygamy is not a big deal to me but the way your prophet exchanged women as war booty and had sex with a little girl bothered me a lot. Honestly Christians do not know Mary and Joseph’s ages they were always portrayed to me as around 19 years old. And you have to think Joseph did not have sex with Mary she was impregnated miraculously big difference between them and your prophet being 50 with a 9 year old for his own selfish pleasure do you know how painful that would have been her body would have been so small for a grown man’s if he was enlightened he would have known that. I am a grown married woman and my husband was so patient because it can be painful for women let alone a child 😓 And I look to the New Testament Jesus came to correct the evils of the Old Testament engaged in by man he promoted love thy enemy forgiveness and peace three values that would save the world if everyone practiced them. Your prophet was a warlord and who told you he saved Arabia? Your imam? He terrorized Arabia and his followers have terrorized and subjugated countries ever since…
@@ryanamalfitano7572 polygamy is definitely not my biggest issue with Islam but I prefer just two people that makes more sense to me my husband and I become one. I understand though how polygamy might have been necessary long ago when women were much more dependent on men. But what upset me is your prophet slept with a little girl for his own selfish pleasure! Do you know how painful that would be for a 9 year old to be with a 50 year old her body was not developed enough and if he was enlightened he would have known that he also would not have been trading women as war booty. Christians do not know Mary and Joseph’s exact ages but they were always portrayed as early 20s. And Joseph did NOT sleep with Mary she was a virgin impregnated by the Holy Spirit was different from your prophet sleeping with a child. And Jesus came to correct all the evils and bring light into the world and show us coming in peace and to love thy enemy. If everyone followed Jesus the world would be so wonderful. So I will always choose Jesus ✝️…
@@princessraj5921 that’s incorrect that they were in their 20s. No christian scholar or historian would agree with you. Mary (peace be upon her) was said to be 12 and Christians believe she was married to a man named Joseph who was around 90 years old at the time. We don’t believe this but this is what some Christians say while we as Muslims affirm Mary (peace be upon her) was never touched by any man before and affirm the belief in Jesus’s miraculous birth without a father
@@princessraj5921 for the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) marriage to Hazrat Aisha (peace be upon her), it was part of God’s plan for the future of Islam and for this great plan, God chose Aisha (peace be upon her). It was a woman who was one of the Prophet’s neighbors who came to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) with a marriage proposal with Saudah and Aisha (peace be upon them). From Aisha’s childhood, she was very bright and smart and she also was very beautiful and came from a very noble family. Her father was Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (peace be upon him) who was Prophet Muhammad’s best friend, a very humble, kind and gentle man, he was the best out of all the Prophet’s companions and the best person after the Prophets and also became the 1st caliph of Islam. You cannot judge back then with modern standards either. Back then, people used to get married very very early and kids would get married as soon as they started puberty which they were no longer considered as a child anymore once they started puberty and were considered an adult and when Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) lost his first wife Khadijah (peace be upon her), Aisha was around 6 years old. Even though she was really young, many people came with marriage proposals all asking for her hand but her and her father refused all of them because God reserved her for someone special who was not an ordinary human being, but the best creation and mercy unto all creation who was none other than Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him) and Aisha and her father Abu Bakr happily and joyfully accepted. Remember, marriage was with the permission of her father Abu Bakr (peace be upon him). But God made her a very special woman in history in the same way God made Jesus’s (peace be upon him) mother Mary (peace be upon her) special. So for God’s plan, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had to marry Aisha. At 6 years old she did not reach her maturity yet which is why the Prophet did not start a family with her at that time. When she reached her maturity as God’s great plan, the Prophet started a family with her. Basically in the present time you can consider that at the age of 6, Aisha was engaged with the Prophet and when she was 9 years old, they started their married life as God’s great plan. She was married to the Prophet for 9 years and during that time it was the best time to learn any kind of education and Aisha started her education when she was 9 years old which she learned from her husband Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) life and continued her education about Islam until the Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) death when she was 18 years old and that’s why in history she had the 3rd biggest collection of Hadith in Islam and the topics that cover women’s issues, she had the #1 biggest Hadith collection in Islam. No other wife of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) collected that many Hadith like Aisha did. She was the greatest female scholar of Islam and she did a great job for Islam. So when the Prophet actually consumated the marriage with Aisha, she was not a child, she was legally an adult in that society. That’s not pedophilia because she was not a child. She had just became an adult by starting puberty

Therefore, do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately, and worship Allah in the forenoon and in the afternoon and during a part of the night, and always adopt a middle, moderate, regular course whereby you will reach your target (Paradise).”
God is free from need and it is beneath Him that we should ascribe to Him a Son that became incarnate and died for our sins.
@@JL.0777in islam we believe gods mercy prevails over his wrath. Also if he is righteous then how could Jesus bear sins that are not his own? My sins are mine, and yours are yours, only god can remove them
@@Saaaaaaber he chose to take up the world's sins. Jesus himself said that the son of man will give his life as a ransom for many.
Also think about. If you are charged with a crime and u r sentenced to be punish. The only way I can get out of be made free is by someone else paying your price. In a sense Jesus paid the price of our sins. He choose to take it upon himself. God is a just judge and he can't let sin go unpunished. But in his abounding love and mercy he mad jesus who was without sin, sin for us that we may be blameless in god's sight

Dr, what are you thoughts on traditional Orthodox Christianity?
I was born into, and grew up Catholic, with my dad being a Deacon where his life is pretty much devoted to the Church, and I gotta say that Muslims put about 99% of Catholics to shame. The average Muslim is wayy more pious than the average Catholic. I don't know if this is compensated with the monastic orders and sister convents, but they are dwindling in number also. I would argue that Catholicism used to be on par with Islam but it sure is not anymore.
Alhamdulillah
Excellent lecture
There is not alot that changes IF the person does not want to change, same goes for all religions i would say. We as christians want a person to pray, have a relationship with god, read the word of god and, fast. This will make you closer to god and fullfill ad the duties he told us to do. God told us to share the word and more. If you read the bilbe got has commanded us to do many things. If you arw truly wanting to change and accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior you will have the thirst of knowledge/ of the word(Bible)
Certainly not materialist, like the Romish West of Christianity.

the Bible is a collection of books written by different people in history man created sin not god & his words said he would come in human form to show how to live a sinless life & we had too much pride too accept our creator as a man so we persecuted him beat him & murder him the worst way possible as he still prayed for us & died giving us his flesh & blood so we could live without the consequences off sin but judgement day will be coming & we stopped believing in him just like they kept doing in the Old Testament putting ourself selves & strange gods before him the father the son & the Holy Spirit we denied him as the father in the Old Testament,we deny him as the son in the New Testament & now we deny the Holy Spirit of god today saying there is no God we are writing the basic instructions before leaving earth in real time

@@SafinaSociety by the way, I love all your videos and live streams, thank you very much for the reply.
All of the sciences behind the hadeeth need to applied to make a judgement and _the law may be applied differently depending on the particular context of any given situation._
The crafting of your argument is essentially _invalidating one hadeeth completely_ in deference to another, _without justification_ , and is similar in methodology to the positions islamophobes (not saying you're one) put forward against islam.

As for the restrictions of Islam, Allah says, "HE PLACED NO BURDEN GREATER THAN YOU CAN BEAR.." (2:286) and in other places in the Holy Book!

A rather ironic title considering that Islamic states cannot resist vile reactions towards apostates or women not wearing niqab in Iran. Do the Iranian morality police ever fast from their pre-packaged self-righteousness?
