The Korte Company: IDOT Construction Materials Laboratory - A bird's eye view

We’re excited to partner with the Illinois Capital Development Board and FGM Architects as the Design-Build contractor for the new Construction Materials Laboratory for the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). This state-of-the-art facility will feature specialized materials testing labs and offices to support IDOT’s important work.
Sustainability is a key focus, with the project aiming for LEED Silver certification. The building will include electric vehicle chargers, reflective roofing and paving to reduce the urban heat island effect, night-sky lighting, and the use of healthy materials. We're proud to be part of this innovative, forward-thinking project!
