Axefx3. It’s a jumped Marshall with the gain right before it breaks. I think that gives me the full body and warmth without the gain. Then just reverb run in wet dry stereo.
Very nice review. I've been following your channel for quite a while so its really nice to see you cover ceccarini guitars. I've had leonardo build me two custom guitars over the last years ( the second one is the red headless you've shown at 2:20 for which I requested custom inlays, scars on the body and a full scalloped fanfret which was executed perfectly). He did a complete custom job and kept me up to date about the progress. And for the price it almost feels like robbing the poor guy. If you are looking for a completly customized guitar that plays amazing and does not cost you an arm and a leg ceccarini is worth every cent.
Yep! Leo builds some great guitars! I have a 7 string headless, same model as yours. I purchased it 12 months ago. Stays in tune and plays great, and the design is flawless IMO. Every carve has a purpose.
I personally prefer push pull over push push right now but that might just because good quality push pull are easier to find over similar quality push push.
To me what makes a difference is that with push pull I can see the position or feel it with my hand even without playing. With push-push it can be very easy to either forget which setting you're in or to just bump the pot without noticing, and it often leads to scrapped takes in studio and crap tone on gigs.
@@whitestripe484 that is utter nonsense. the position is still up and down, you can feel it and see it with a push push the same as with a push pull. i don't believe you have ever used a push push. you would know it is not that easy to switch, you have to tap the top of the knob.
I found this headless years ago on Reverb and forgot the name of the company. Glad to see this video as a reminder. And yes, they seem really reasonably priced.
Brilliant review, people like to call modern headless guitars soulless but there's something really special about this one, I think the points of the 'headstock' go a long way to making the whole design seem organic and cohesive. Regarding sci fi recommendations, The Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe is pretty much the best sci fi I ever read, highly recommend it.
I love the Ceccarini guitars, been admiring the design on Instagram for quite a while. Happy to hear that the feel and sound lives up to the looks. I like the concept of a push-push pots, however the ones I have tried so far all felt kinda crunchy and inconsistent with a tendency to break prematurely. It's much easier to find a good feeling push-pull pot.
I’ve watched a lot of your videos and the clean solo guitar piece you do at the beginning is my favorite playing I’ve heard from you so far. That guitar rules too!

Check out Neuromancer by William Gibson. Iconic sci fi. Very nice guitar too, although when you were hinting at the price I was praying for below $1000 😅 a bit optimistic!
Interesting that a 'headless' guitar still kinda gives you a headstock of sort: sure it's smaller so it doesn't takes away from the compactness of it and the reduced chances of neck dive but I like that you get the little horn there too, its a nice touch
Oh man!!! You finally reviewed one!!! I got one and it's amazing!!! Same Dullahan but in 7 without floating bridge!!! I'm happy that his guitars are being recognized for more people. He deserves it! Next you should check DarkArts (necromancer is the one I got)
That neck looks fantastic. I absolutely love open pore necks, and an ash neck thrus sounds amazing. These are up there with Strandberg and Ormsby for best looking guitars. I'll be on the look out for your next review.
That’s a really nice headless! The customization options are a major bonus. It’s way out of my price point, but for someone who is in the headless market over $2500, this seems like a major contender to consider. Do they only make headless options? I bet they’d make a really great traditional guitar that also solves a lot of design issues. I would love to see them make more affordable models down the pipeline as well. Well done, brand I can’t pronounce yet sounds like an exotic Italian meal! 😉😂🤘🏻🎸😎
It's great when you find guitars that match who you are. It's like when you find a great woman you don't want to mess around. For me it's my Koa Kiesel OM7 with Beryllium pickups. I literally feel grateful when I have it in my hands. It sounds like that's what you've also found. I'm looking forward to seeing it and your review.
Its Check - Car - eenie ( as in weenie without the w ). Love the new set up dude. Congrats on the guitar, my only complaint is maybe the finish looks a little rough. but could be the video. the design and features are near perfect.
Not a big fan of headless guitars but I'm actually attracted to that one. So curvy and sculpted, and it sounds incredible. In scifi, check out the books of Jack McDevitt. Hardish scifi. Also John Ringo and David Weber if you like the space opera genre. Or Tanya Huff for excellent military scifi,
Love the sci-fi theme to this review! Ibanez was the first thing I thought of when you mentioned the thinness. Glad to hear your comparison. William Gibson and Neal Stephenson are two of my favorite sci-fi authors, but I have to say the entire Three Body problem trilogy is my favorite recent series. The books are very different from the show and worth checking out.
While priced well, I’d be a little concerned in the customs/import fees to America. Looking at their site, these guitars look AMAZING!! For sci-fi recommendations, the book version of Ender’s Game.
If you enjoyed Hyperion you might enjoy another Dan Simmons called Ilium. It's a fun story and because Dan is such a good writer, it's a pure joy to read. Also, there are a series of prequels to Dune written by Kevin Anderson that are very good.
It’s not a very heavy sci fi novel, but the automatic detective by A Lee Martinez was a lot of fun, and it was hilarious. Short book too, you could read it in a couple days if you really buckle down
Check out Greg Egan's works if you're into some mind-boggling. Depending on how good you are with 5d trigonometry i'd recommend either Diaspora and Schild's Ladder (they are over 9000 on a sci-fi hardness scale), or Permutation City (it's a lot easier read, but still interesting). I also liked Blindsight, but it's a bit overhyped for it's own good.
Not my cup of tea I am a traditionalist in my instrument choices and have a strong aversion to headless guitars. However that being said I can appreciate the design and it sounds and looks great. Obviously the maker has great passion for guitar making and I am sure this is a dream guitar for those with a taste for a guitar that shuns tradition which is not a bad thing. I am guilty of both complaining that there are never any innovations to guitar design then also not being willing to try something so radically different.
Riviera bridges are incredibly cool, though I had my doubts on them due to some visual similarity with el cheapo aliexpress things with magnetic lever. Glad to hear those were groundless. How's the tuning stability compared to a fully locking trem? The sharp break angle near tuners can't be that helpful. Benefit of push-pull knobs is they can't be accidentally engaged in a gig bag (i had a couple batteries drained with a push-push in my circuitry). Otherwise they obviously inferior.
For great sci-fi with some of that symbiosis, check out "Shards of Earth" by Adrian Tchaikovsky. It's the first of 3 books. The symbiotes are called "Tothiat".
Push Push right now in the comments below right now now. Did I follow the instructions right? But seriously, push push. And very nice guitar and the prices aren’t bad at all. Great review! Thanks.
Have you had any experience with various trem stabilizers? Like the double barrel, tremmory, etc I enjoy using the vibrato, but I've only ever used pull-up only, for tuning stability. These days, I've been itching to float the bridge and enjoy the dual action movement, and even vibrates, but I'm concerned that tuning stability would suffer. I would recommend the author Alastair Reynolds, his books of Chasm City Revelation Space and Redemption Ark. Also Ian M Banks. That’s a beautiful guitar and sounds amazing.
have you tried an ormsby goliath? I feel like it would suit you or at least hit most of your check boxes. Obv. its fan fret but it's super comfortable and has great access for a bolt on. They have a single cut version thats a neck thru coming out that you might even prefer more.

Anyways thanks for your content as always.
@ I have seen it, that video was partially a reason that convinced me to get one haha. But from what you’ve discussed about your preferences on what you look for into a guitar, this body shape definitely is more ergonomic than that of the M6.
