To luke the Jedi Order is just a fairy tale. He was taught the ways of the force at a very late age. He think there is hope for any jedi.... Well except for Kylo I guess.

    When seeing Luke, Moff was immediately ready to risk his life as he knew the party was over. Luke had to be the damn boogie man of the galaxy. Imagine the terror that Palpatine and Vader evoked for years, and then to hear that they were both killed by a phantom Jedi Knight. After all Jedi were hunted down and eliminated, this Jedi went to them and beat them and ended the Empire’s reign.
    Yea, Gideon would be absolutely shaken! Especially after watching him cut down a platoon of dark troopers like it was practice!

      I really fear they are cramming way too many eggs into one bag. Just because this one show worked out does not mean all the others will follow suit. I truly believe they should start out slowly, maybe two shows running side by side, one Force-focused, the other not... and then build on that. Let's not forget what happened to the half a million GoT spinoffs that they announced prior to Season 8. And what became of them in the end.

      @@yarpen26 Dunno, Boba show can be less action more criminal stuff, like drug wars over the turf and whatnot with stakes being around "man running a black market empire" vs law, order, other competitors and stuff.
      While Mando can actually go down the road of Xena: The Warrior Princess/ Legend of The Seeker and whatnot about a mighty hero who does heroic stuff (which Mandolorian essentially did, wrapped into Samurai/Western Movies themes with Star Wars style).
      Plus the main plot should be about Mando and the Dark Blade.
      I didn't watch The Rise of Skywalker but if I'm not mistaken we know nothing about the future of Mandolorians except the fact that they got destroyed back in the day and want their planet back so they can spin the Mando lore in any way they want.
      Mando claming the throne and restoring Mandalore, finding his identity, working as a mercenery, anything.
      For instance it was already mentioned that he is a part of a tiny "sect" of Mandalorians who are radical in their beliefes and yet he kinda casts that all away for Grogu. Its a pretty decent story ark if you ask me. And if his "sect" was that radical why did they chicken out and bailed when things got heated? There is a lot of plot threads you can grab and they all would work.

Yes, we know in Rebels that those around her did accept it, but that doesn't mean the majority did. I'm not sure that is what they will go with but there is enough unknowns here that it can be explained away for us that know the lore. And it isn't like Jon and Dave just flaked on the fact that she got it in Rebels so they have a reason, we just don't know it yet. If they do the whole story and don't answer it then it is an issue. But right now it is just a plot point that will be answered later to me.

      They've already set up the mechanism to retcon the Rey Trilogy. Arguably, the finale of Mandalorian is inconsistent with the RT, in at least two ways. First, the RT canon is that Ben Solo was Luke's first student, and started training about six years after Mandalorian is set; but here we see that Grogo has already gone with Luke to be his student. Second, RT canon is that Snoke was genetically engineered from a force-sensitive being. It seems very clear that Mandalorian is tying the creation of Snoke to Grogu's genetic material, but since they don't have Grogu any more Snoke cannot be created.
      So the theory is that the Rey Trilogy is the dark alternate timeline where Luke never met Grogu, and the dark troopers killed everyone on the cruiser. It's the timeline that would have played out if Ezra had not saved Ahsoka in Rebels. No Ahsoka = nobody to point Din and Grogu to Tython = no call through the Force to reach Luke. Grogu would still have been taken, the rescue would still have been attempted, but it would have failed.
      Of course, even if this is correct, they'd never come out and state it as a fact. There's literally no benefit to doing that. Instead, they'd just continue making more Star Wars Stories based on the Mandalorian, and not bother with tying it into the Rey Trilogy timeline.

    I’m not sure why Alex keeps bringing up that “hyperspace tracking” bullshit from the sequels. The Mandalorian literally never mentioned anything about hyperspace tracking. Boba is just a good bounty hunter and knows how to track people, that’s why he was THE BEST OF THE BEST of bounty hunters. Here’s a question: how did Boba Fett track down the Millenium Falcon in Episode V to Bespin then? Did he use hyperspace tracking? Was it ever even mentioned in the originals? Do we really need a full breakdown on how he is able to track people? The answers to these questions are obvious. I’m not sure why Alex decided to imply that Boba used “hyperspace tracking” when it was never even mentioned in Mando, and all Boba said was “i’ve been tracking you” and that’s ALL IT NEEDS TO BE. I just find it frustrating that he tries to use that as a negative part of the show when it has zero validity.

    Clarification. When Sabeen got, it wasn’t won in single combat, it was found. So when Sabeen gave it to her, there was no single combat associated to it. In the Mandalorian, Mando won it I single combat and she can’t accept, because the story is about the combat part of it.

      This is an interesting one. Do you have to officially challenge someone to win it? Because if we go with the elder wand rules, then the last legal owner was sidious. Windu is iffy since windu had help, and there are theories that sidious threw the fight. Plus he and yoda basically tied in their last duel.

    • @Werrf1
      @Werrf1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Except that Sabine later _did_ win it through combat. Ezra gave it to her, and she took it to her mother. Her mother said that Sabine had no claim to it because she had not taken it in combat. Then it was taken from Sabine by Gar Saxon, Sabine borrowed Ezra's lightsaber and fought and defeated Saxon while he wielded the Darksaber, meaning that she _had_ now won it in single combat.
      Bo-Katan accepted it later, but was hesitant to do so, because of the whole winning it in battle thing. Then she lost it, and was kicked out of Mandalore for the second time. She needs all the legitimacy she can get, and taking the Darksaber without combat isn't going to give her that legitimacy.

      I believe Bo accepting the Darksaber was the last we saw of her up until Mando. I'm thinking perhaps, in between, that a lot of the Clans didn't accept her because of that very thing. So Mandalore would still have been divided which would explain how a planet of some of the galaxies strongest warriors lost it to the Empire.

      I have a good theory as to why she wount accept it from Din, The first question is how did Moff gideon get it in the first place. Perhaps Gideon challenged Bo in single combat and won infront of all her clan and other mandaloran clans. And so if other mandalorians hear that Bo reclaimed the sabre by using another mandalorain to win her fight, then people won't recognise her claim.
      In rebels, i would argue Bo katan was a much better fighter and leader than sabine, both in military stragegy( they were in the middle of a civil war) and in combat. And every mandalorian pretty much knew Bo should be in charge. Sabine willingly gave up the sabre really isnt that different becuase mandalorains only follow the strongest and everyone knew who that was at the time.

    • @MonteCreations
      @MonteCreations 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the bigger problem is that she was the one who LOST the saber. When she lost the saber she lost any right to lead the mandolorians. She's got to EARN the saber if she wants to reclaim that right.

      The problem with the sequels is what saved the prequels. The prequels were building towards something familiar, the sequels took their own liberty to expand the universe in directions that few were comfortable with. The plot never truly worked toward a specific goal and the themes of the originals, and yes the prequels too, were mostly glossed over in lieu of CGI and “member-this” moments.

    • @dawnshine14

      @@gibbschuck55 prequels were globally fine, some cringe dialogue by George Lucas and some bad CGI but overall as said we knew what they were building towards and in my opinion episode III did that beautifully. Prequels are bad as films, but they added so much more to the lore and world building of Star Wars that you can't deny how much it's boosted the franchise despite being mostly bad movies (mostly bad execution on Lucas's part). The sequels have added nothing to the franchise worthwhile, the world they made after Return of the Jedi is so vague and feels like a butchered rehash of the og trilogy.
      I wanted to love the sequels, but watching them all, nothing is truly added to Star Wars, the jedi are back to where it was after Return of Jedi, they have to rebuild the republic again, and it honestly feels like if the universe pre sequels and post sequels is exactly the same, so overall, a complete waste of time.

    Please Disney+, you have to retcon the sequel trilogy now. You can't give us what we've wanted for decades and then just strip it away again (you know exactly what I'm talking about). That character is the literal hope and legacy of Star Wars and you have to keep him intact!

      Introduce time travel if you have to. Insert a throwaway exposition line saying that multiple universes were created because of a disturbance in the Force due to Palpatine’s return or some shit. Say that Luke had a vision where one of the possible futures was utter failure, and have him actively work to hunt down Empire remnants to avoid it. I don’t give a fuck. Do what you gotta do to retcon that shit and erase it from existence.

    You've failed Ryan Johnson, i am a hallway entrance fight scene, like my father before me.

      Ryan J, ruined luke. Mando reminded us why we like luke so much.

      According to Star Wars though Rian will survive this encounter and come back 20 years later to fuck it all up again lol

      @@booqrdoit9138 Don't worry, if rumors are true Brie Larson is in star wars, and she is all the snowflakes, she'll save us all.

    The episode is called "The rescue" because it saved Star Wars.
