    Here are the grinding times, based on dial position:
    Dial Time
    Min 4s
    10 8s
    20 13s
    30 17s
    40 22s
    **Just add 10 seconds to all these numbers, if you use the "Extra Grinding Range". I suggest not to however, or your portafilter will overflow.

      Thanks so much for the tip, Alan! The settings are actually pretty trivial besides the temp, which I would set to high on this machine, seeing as the brew group is far away from the thermoblock. Also, the water hardness is important, in to remind you to descale at regular intervals. Cheers!

      Currently struggling with the double shot (28g) being too much volume to insert the portafilter, whereas the single shot (14g) fits well but infusion time is too short. I’m toying with the idea of buying a bottomless one-shot portafilter but first I’ll revert to my previous choice of beans.

      @@AlanRick26 Hi Alan, 14g is already a double. You should aim for 14g dry coffee, to 28g liquid coffee, as an example. Maybe you can up dose to 16-18 grams even, but not more. Cheers!

One thing I wanted to confirm is for the double basket that comes with the machine, does it hold 16mg or 18mg? Hi Tom. Do I understand correctly that you are doing single shot from double dose of coffee? In videos I watched you are using cca 16-18g of grounded beans for one 30g shot in extraction time of 25-30seconds. In that case how are you making double espresso - in two cups in one time? Maybe is this question trivial, but I don 't understand. I just bought this machine and I am not able to do turn 7-9g of beans into 30g espresso in 25seconds (with single basket). I tried to change grinding into "1" but it doesn't helps. thanks

    • @TomsCoffeeCorner
      @TomsCoffeeCorner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! For a single shot, try 10 grams in, 20 grams out, in 20 seconds or so. If that is not possible, try fresher roasted beans. Also, this machine does not grind super fine, so this ratio in that time might not be attainable. Cheers!

Regarding the dose level, you said it's nothing more than a timer, maybe I'm getting you wrong, but it's not the time that the grinder works, right? Because it's working for much less time than 15 seconds when set to 15. Can you kindly clarify this point? Another question, if I select 1 cup and 15 level of dose, is it roughly 8 grams?
