Its over? Abby Jo your videos are like a warm hug. So much going on in the world but your videos bring a sense of calm and rest. Thank you for your beautiful self and your beautiful family.
I quadruple a regular pizza dough recipe and then cut each recipe's amount of dough in 4- making 16 individual size pizzas. I freeze them, in baggies. That way my daughter can grab on whenever she wants for a meal, or we grab 3 for all of us. When I run low, I make up some more. Great convenience food that everyone loves, without the chemicals, unclean foods and belly ache I often get from eating out. Thank you for letting others know they can do it too
I make homemade pizza often! Bit less now that my kids are grown and flown. I grew up with my dad declaring Friday night “pizza and popcorn “ night. He would make homemade pizza and homemade caramel popcorn. The astonishing part was, he couldn’t cook a single other thing, unless you count bread butter and sugar bread. My mom did all the cooking from scratch. my friends still remember those Friday nights as well.looks yummy! ❤I drink two cups of tea a day, at least. I try to sit outside and enjoy it. At 53, I’m finally learning to sit and slow down.
Thank you for another lovely vlog Abby Jo :) The toffee apples looked so good !! I especially loved watching you walking with your daughter in the woods and seeing your family putting the garden away for Winter. Blessings to you ~ Linda
It’s something we started doing since our kids were little and we find it keeps us connected. We always enjoy work and play and try to make fun. ❤️❤️❤️
I love this time of year our fire is going and I have a pan of pork cube steaks, rice and corn simmering away on the wood cookstove. As we speak with the yard light we can see the snow is gently falling. I’m so ready to start preparing for the Holidays. Have a great week!
I love your channel. I am not big on cooking myself but I love watching your videos and listening your voice. Not wishing to sound creepy but it’s just so relaxing. Thank you so much 😊
Fall is my favorite season! I'm prepping each day for cozy season! Soups and Stews and Chili are our favorites too. I'm going to decorate my Tree and Mantle for Thanksgiving. I'm setting up a table just for puzzle making and of course we have our reading chairs ready with quilts and knitted throws. Candles and warm lighting . It makes my heart happy!
Oh AbbyJo. This has got to be one of my all time favorite videos of yours yet. 😊. I love every time you post and can’t wait to see one of your videos pop up on my screen. Keep up encouraging everyone my sweet friend. ❤
The pizza course is fantastic folks! We’ve had pizza 3 times in the last week, and I’m planning to make a big batch of the red sauce to freeze- the kids and I were eating it by the spoonful it’s so good!
I love the first snow fall, it's always so beautiful , I lived in the U P in Mich. and it get's COLD ! but I also lived in Maine where it get's very COLD ! 🥶 But I love winter. I now live in Western Washington state. still miss the UP and Maine. Thank you for all the great video's I love the calm you bring, and thank you for sharing what didn't work as well as what did with the Carmel apples , you are so real and calming I just love your video's !! Thank you so much. I collect cookbooks I read them like a story.😊💕
Yes, it’s cold up here ❄️🥶 we are from northern Idaho so I know what it’s like where you live too. The first snow fall is magical. Reading cookbooks like a novel is the best! ❤️ have a good week!
Isn’t just so much fun to go through cookbooks. I love when pictures are included especially if you’ve never made that item before. Being in the kitchen together is so cozy but these days it’s just the two of us. Both my husband and myself are just not that hungry. This video was so enjoyable, I’m not feeling well and I was able to drink my coffee while rocking in my chair Take Care ~ Janet 😘
I like the name Isabella “ Bella” for your cook stove because it looks old fashioned yet elegant and is in the room where you serve your pretty crystal glasses ❤. I wish I could join your pizza club, but finances have been hard since my husband got the “ C” word 2 years ago. He lost all ability to stand or walk due to that and wasn’t expected to live, but he proved them wrong. I would rather be short on finances and have him with me any day. The pizza and caramel apples look divine. Made my mouth water for both of them “ as usual” lol. Another great video and will look forward to the next. Take us with you thrifting next time you go. I love thrifting with you. Many blessings to you & your family.
That’s lovely name 🥰 I’m sorry you both have gone through that, and much better to have our loved ones with us and be on a tight budget. I will take you along soon for a thrifting day. ❤️❤️❤️
I look forward to every single video, my darlings and this was such a gem. I do miss the definable change of seasons down South here . Cooking in a wood fuel oven is the best , especially for pizzas or baked veg. Family work days are my favourite days ❤ I loved watching you girls walk through the woods , what a precious time to spend together and watch the little changes of the natural world . Have a beautiful day lovelies ❤❤
Awww 🥰 I can see you loving family work days too! Our families our so similar. I love talking walks in the woods with my children, Daniel just cut out a huge loop trail for us to walk through during the winter days ahead. So glad we have a trail now 🥰 blessings dear friend!
Abby Jo, I feel exactly the same way about this time of year. It feels festive to me, with the focus on being cozy, cooking, and baking. We do a lot of grilling in the summer, and I love that, but I also love the transition back into stews and casseroles and things in the oven. Whether we're making an old favorite or trying something new, I love the mindset of celebrating food and home life. I was delighted to hear you talk about November as a transition month because I was just reflecting on that in my journal this morning. I thought, kindred spirits! I always love the time I spend with you and your family through your beautiful videos. You're my favorite TH-cam channel! Blessings! 🙏❤
Hi, Abby Jo! Many thanks to you and your family for this warm and welcoming video. So many points to reflect on. I also appreciate the book selections. Thank you again.🤗
I always love your videos! You are very talented, creative person.Your tutorial while cooking is great! But one more thing that attracts me is the welcoming, cozy feeling of being in your home. Feel so relaxed and calm when watching! It really amazes me! Ty so much for sharing these wonderful videos!
Awww 🥰 thank you that makes me so happy to hear. I have always hoped my home will feel cozy and inviting to others and even though it’s through a digital format, I always feel like I’m inviting you in for a visit.
I would name her Hazel. My auntie (Hazel) is long gone, but talked about cooking on a wood stove and loving it. The coziness and beauty of that stove reminds me of her.
Thank you for such a relaxing inspirational message in this video and for the reminder that respite is just as important as the hard work❤. I also enjoy life slowing down in the fall as I’m a fall and winter girl, it just touches me to the soul. I love cooking, baking, reading, sewing, crafts, cozy candles, simple primitive Christmas decorating and just time to rest, much like our gardens need. Our local thrift shop sells books for 5 for $1, my favorite part of their shop!
I love all your videos. The food looks delicious ; but the videos relax me when watching them. Thank you so much. Keep them coming and Happy holidays.❤❤
Your pizza dough you used looked good! We got my son a wood burning pizza oven for his birthday three years ago and haven’t looked back. He’s also accumulated a few pizza cookbooks, still haven’t tried them all yet, but giving it a good go! Lol! I agree with you about taking a coffee or tea break to recharge your batteries! I too, grew up with snickerdoodle cookies, found out they make a great pie crust, especially when I make pumpkin cheesecake. I also use ginger snap cookies. It gives it a festive flavour.
Loving the Pizza course AbbyJo! So many options to try out. Will never darken a takeaway pizza door again. Thank you so much. Highly recommend this course !! 💕xx
Beautiful video! We have finished putting the garden to bed for the winter. I was able to get 36 cloves of garlic in and covered with straw. Hope for big heads of garlic in the summer! I too love books!, Especially cookbooks. I built up my collection to have to look at this winter. Keep the peaceful videos coming! We need peace in this crazy world we live in!
Thank you ☺️ it feels so good to put the garden to bed. Winter time = reading time at our house too! ❤️ yes, I believe in keeping our homes peaceful and place of refuge and rest.
I love cookbooks and have so many they overspilled the cookbook bookcase and are stakes all over the house. . In order to get new ones am going to have a big editing clean out for the ones that no longer serve. My local library is active in purchasing new books too. I get them to determine if I like them enough to get copies for my own library
Taking a 10 minute coffee break before I head out the door for errands and a haircut- glad I spent it here! Looking forward to catching the rest of it later ☺️
My Mom used to have a neighborhood party and it was a taffy pull party. So much fun, I'm almost 66 now and remember with such fondness of a much easier time.
We have retired now from a very hectic life but we always took the time to have mornings together as long as we could stretch them. Now in retirement we cherish our mornings together. We moved from the suburbs to a beautiful wooded rural location and have acreage. Something God blessed us with finding in the 2008 crash on our way home one weekend. I would not trade our lives for anything. We have always appreciated slow living and comfortable surroundings. I wish more people would see the beauty in it. Pizza is something I make often from scratch, even canning my own sauce and making my own sausage. We cook ours in a Ninja Foodie 13-1 countertop oven. It does a fabulous job too. Love your cookstove and its size especially. We never celebrate Christmas in what is now traditional with chaos opting instead to feel the season and its beauty. No gift giving.
So enjoyed this video! Yes, let’s bring back the “working day” ideas! When I was little my mom had taffy pulling and making popcorn ball parties with all my sisters - good memories!
Masa: my son-in-law lived in Central and South America for about 10 years (mostly in very rural village settings) ... every year, he grows a big patch of corn and he knows how to process it in various traditional ways. Such a blessing!! He also used to work in the mountains of Peru on potato farms, so he grows a lot of potatoes and sweet potatoes, too. I usually do a little in my garden, but get the bulk from him since he has a few thousand pounds ;) He's a handy guy!!! ❤
What a lovely cozy video. It was so nice and relaxing just to sit here and watch and think about how I can bring more coziness and peacefulness into my home. I have that Tasha Tudor cookbook, but it must be a different edition because it doesn't have photographs -- just her wonderful illustrations. I adore it! I've been on an Agatha Christie kick and have been rereading most of her books. After that, I will probably reread the "Little House" books, as I do every winter. Thanks for another warm and inspiring video!
I also live in Michigan but have always dreaded fall and winter due to the lack of sunshine, warmth and the seemingly endless dreary weather. It's so depressing to me. BUT, I am inspired by your channel and how you appreciate the coziness of the season, your cooking and baking, and thrift hauls. -- Mrs. N
Hello 👋 another Michigander ❤️ I think it’s such a nice time to reset, relax, and nourish our bodies. Slow living has helped me to enjoy the colder months ❄️❄️❄️ I’m glad you enjoy the videos.
Another beautiful, relaxing video!! Your soup and carmel apples looked delicious, thank you Abby Jo! I live in Southeastern Wisconsin and we've already had snow too.
I really enjoy ur videos, they r so very relaxing. Some of the other channels r so loud. So,its very refreshing to hear ur soothing voice. I just subscribed and i havent been able to turn u off . Keep up the excellent work Abby.
Such a lovely channel! I am going back and watching some that I have missed, as a New-Ish subbie! So warm, welcoming, inspirational, hygge, gesellech, and the german saying...oh what is that one now! Will have to ask my mom... anyhoo, love the vibe, the recipes, and the every day wonderfulness, that you share with us! Q:: are you a quilter? That is one thing, I love doing in the colder months...
Hello 🙋🏻♀️ just came across your channel and I love it! 💕 I enjoy cooking healthy meals made from scratch. I know I will learn some good stuff here with you 🤗
Those carameled apples look so yummy! I love how you say you slow down even more when things get hectic. I'm with you, girl. I'm hoping to pare down my holiday activities to only the things that bring me the most joy. I love your videos. ❤
I love this slow, cozy time of year here in Michigan. We live below the bridge now, but I miss living in the U.P. I read a bunch of hygge books and watched some vlogs last year. I’m looking forward to that as well. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
On this slow overcast Saturday morning your soothing video helped set the tempo for my day. The cup used for the latte was simply beautiful. Please tell me where I might find it or a similar one.
Hello from southeast Texas! Love your videos and so enjoy watching while I sip my hot coffee or tea and rest! You inspire so well. Thank you for taking the time to create. I love that pink and cream ceramic mug!Do you have a link?
I absolutely love your show especially when you show the towel ripped second hand store hunting me and my sisters would love to go with you we love Salvation Army and all we grew up on it we're Jersey Girls I love your show the way you show normal stuff it's so fun I love the way you decorate at holiday time
The pizza looks delicious! I vote Betty as the name of that fabulous stove!!!!! I aspire to have a kitchen like yours. I just the other day found an adorable book with Tasha Tudor illustration!!! What a treasure!
This was very cozy Abby Jo! Thank you so much! Was that rosemary’s vinegar in the window? I didn’t make any this year but still have lots in the garden! I have that Huegah book too! It’s absolutely the coziest book! Have a wonderful week! Thank you again!
Your videos are so relaxing! Have you ever used Vietnamese cinnamon? It’s wonderful! The Baker’s Catalogue (King Arthur) carries it. It’s pungent and sweet, spendy, but worth it! Happy Baking, Abby Jo! (My mother used to write that to me in cookbooks she’d give me!) ❤
Yeah!! I love your videos! Can you share the manufacturer of your wood cook stove? About the thermometer. Does it happen to have a hexagon back where you can use pliers to turn it. You’ll want to put it in a glass of ice water. You turn it with a pair of pliers to the appropriate temperature for ice water.
Thank you ☺️ my wood cook stove is Rizzoli made in Italy. I’m not sure about the thermometer, I will have to check it out ❤️ thank you for the suggestion!
Recently subscribed and have a couple of names to consider for your wood Cookstove. My 2 Featherweight Singer sewing machines are named Flossie and Klista!!
Abby Jo- I forgot to add a book I would suggest. Kitchen Comforts - Recipes to Feed Body and Soul. By Gay T. Boassy. The pictures are beautiful, they look like hand drawings.I got it for 2.00 at the Goodwill by us. Enjoy!
My husband and I are looking for a wood burning cook stove as a backup for the winter. What brand is your stove? Any tips on what to look for? I grew up in a home only heated by wood, but we always had an electric cook stove and never used the heating stoves for cooking (unless the electric went out and we would put a stew pot on top) they didn't have ovens.
My wood cook stove is a Rizzoli made in Italy, I bought from a dealer in Montana ❤️ I like this stove because the design and simplicity, it’s really easy to use.
Hi I am Mona from Egypt and i love your pizza and your house ❤.can you please tell me what is the name of this mashine you use to make a foam milk for your coffee?because i need one but dont know the name😂
Lovely video! You all inspire me to pursue simplicity. I really enjoy reading books by Sally Clarkson. I just finished "Teatime discipleship" and I ordered another by her "Creating a life giving home."

Hi Abby Jo! I suggest Marmee, the most underrated character of Little Women. You have Marmee energy too, loving and strong for all your children. ❤
I will have to look that up ❤️ I love Marmee’s character.
Your videos remind me of my childhood at my grandma's house. It's truly heartwarming ❤❤ ❤

Will have to ask my mom... anyhoo, love the vibe, the recipes, and the every day wonderfulness, that you share with us! Q:: are you a quilter? That is one thing, I love doing in the colder months...
Thanks so much! 😊 I'm not a quilter, I think quilts are works of art though! Welcome to the channel.

Those carameled apples look so yummy! I love how you say you slow down even more when things get hectic. I'm with you, girl. I'm hoping to pare down my holiday activities to only the things that bring me the most joy. I love your videos. ❤
Yes, it really is important to prioritize what is important and what’s just busyness. I wish you joy during the holiday months 🎄❤️
I love this slow, cozy time of year here in Michigan. We live below the bridge now, but I miss living in the U.P.
I read a bunch of hygge books and watched some vlogs last year. I’m looking forward to that as well.
Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Thank You for a lovely autumn content. I think your stove look like a Greta as we say in Sweden . Gretel in Germany ❤️
I love those names!!! ❤️❤️❤️ thank you for the suggestions.
The pizza looks delicious! I vote Betty as the name of that fabulous stove!!!!! I aspire to have a kitchen like yours. I just the other day found an adorable book with Tasha Tudor illustration!!! What a treasure!
I love old fashioned names like Betty 🥰 that really is a good find 🙌

Was that rosemary’s vinegar in the window?
I didn’t make any this year but still have lots in the garden!
I have that Huegah book too! It’s absolutely the coziest book!

@@ForgottenWayFarmsPine Needle soda! Sounds interesting!
For sure the coziest book!

I think your woodstove should be Polly from Polly put the kettle on
That’s too cute! 😍
Your videos are so relaxing! Have you ever used Vietnamese cinnamon? It’s wonderful! The Baker’s Catalogue (King Arthur) carries it. It’s pungent and sweet, spendy, but worth it! Happy Baking, Abby Jo! (My mother used to write that to me in cookbooks she’d give me!) ❤
No, I haven’t! But I’m going to check it out now 🥰 awww, I love it! Happy Baking Day to you as well xx
I would love to have your recipe for Chicken Gravy. I looked on your blog and can't find it. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS, just found you today.

COOKBOOK GEM: Mary Margaret McBride's Harvest of American Cooking.
PACKED with recipes, history, stories (from every state) ... it's just fun!
Sounds wonderful, thanks for sharing!
What was the meat in your soup? I truly love your videos! I just ordered your book from Amazon. Can’t wait!
It was ground sausage ❤️ thank you so much! I’m so happy to hear that 🥰

Abby Jo- I forgot to add a book I would suggest. Kitchen Comforts - Recipes to Feed Body and Soul. By Gay T. Boassy. The pictures are beautiful, they look like hand drawings.I got it for 2.00 at the Goodwill by us. Enjoy!

So glad to hear it :)
Magnifique maison ❤
🥰🫶❤️
Do any of your family members work outside of the home? I really enjoy your videos! 🙂
My husband does, and my daughters are learning from home and working from home the age of computers in nice. 😊
I think you are amazing 🤩 I love your videos! I think you should name the stove ember ❤
Wow, you are all coming up with such good names! ❤️❤️❤️
It's a milk frother and steamer combo you can find them online :)
I really like the container that you pour your oil from. Could you tell me where you got it from?
Thank you, I purchased it years ago at TJ Maxx ❤️
Lovely video! You all inspire me to pursue simplicity. I really enjoy reading books by Sally Clarkson. I just finished "Teatime discipleship" and I ordered another by her "Creating a life giving home."
Thank you ☺️ I’ve wanted to read both of those books ❤️
I adore Tasha tudor
Me too!
