Fully agreed. With the current essences and metas it is useless and everyone sim that wants to maximize success switches to Barb. The tight space doesn’t allow to play. Notice how easier it is for classes different from Barbarians to play, for example, in Tower Wars where there is space to move and avoid attacks or area effects.
Yes this is a loophole on that map since beginning. If only blizz isnt ignorant, its Ez fix actually, just change to tower can damage to all char whether its using immunity skill or not. This should make that map more fun and playable.
Regularly you can see in BG how high Reso player run to the idol and then crying why noone supports, while the team get slaughtered in front of the spawn from the opponent high Reso players. I understand the struggle from netease to give people more power for their money and trying to keep the game playable for all.
I think cheat death is fine. But yes I agree they need to fix vob. It’s easy to fix too. Just make it immune to damage till all the 2 other towers are dead. Makes it do able for everyone now.
I am not talking about Battlegrounds, but this Clan Vigil of Blade, where no one is doing any PvP and everyone is rushing for towers with damage immunity.

This is wrong. Without immunity and cheat deaths BG would be boring. Instant kills

Then reduce damage from -50% to -70%. Last update from -40% to -50% made it much better.
