For those interested in numbers, following the logic of using items with only two attributes to maximize fortitude and willpower, you will lose around 1000 combat rating, but you will gain over 400 points each in armor, armor penetration, potency and resistance. You should also take into account that you will be limited to only two magic affixes, limiting what you can choose.
yeah true a handful of us have been doing this for a while before the update. Also knowing how make strong build eg. 3.2k res tempest doing 670m damage per a min with 11-16m sustain a second. Glad they have made it easier now
Could you verify if the enchant feature is only for maxed equipment level. My equipment is at lvl 26 and that feature is not at charsi for me. Saw another creator mention this.
You need Primary Gear at rank 30 and Secondary Gear at rank 20 before it unlocks. At the moment, you might not have a single piece of equipment that is Rank 30 for Primary or Rank 20 for Secondary.
Yes, min/max your secondaries so that your opponent does +10% dmg to you and takes 10% less damage because of the difference in CR. I love when I run up against players doing this and stomping them.
@@ApollyonGaming That's like saying there will always someone with more secondaries. 10% increased dmg done and 10% less dmg taken far outperforms an increase in secondaries vs comparable players. Don't try to compare vs a player that is well above another in regards to power.
By doing this you are giving way the benefit of having 10% dmg over your opponent, since you are going to have less CR. I had this discussion before on reddit, everyone says CR benefit > AP+A benefit… why tou think this is better? On dummy you will never see this benefit of CR.
There is always someone with more CR in BG, so focusing on secondary attributes is much more beneficial. However, if you have really good 3/4 items, then it would be worth keeping them.
@@ApollyonGaming nah your on point in my opinion CR pales in comparison with 2nd stats. I see low reso mediocre CR players with really high secondary stats dominating BGs, of course not against whales but they do well consistently because they're damn armor pen is 5K 😂 meanwhile I barely breaking 3K armor pen. That's like fighting a grizzled bear with a Flintstone push up pop.
Douple-primary are only good in pvp, and if you've been eating normal gems for a long time and have 'enough' secondaries, then triple-stat gear is better, specially if you're not so fond of pvp at all, and more of pve. Losing a ton of CR (unless you 'save' a side set of triple-stat legendaries on your stash) will gut your advances in content like Challenge rifts, Gauntlet, Path of Blood, Kyon, etc... Triple-stat legendaries also can come with up to 4 magical atributes, more 'choices' on each slot, like, you can have 1-2 class magical attributes, and 1-2 magical atributes. Imagine 2x class + Crit Chance+Crit Damage? Secondaries in PvE are only important till you hit the 'higher floor' required', as seen in the character attribute page. Also, Willpower is only important in pvp, mostly, if one doesn't give a sh*t to pvp, mostly the basic, Ressonance still reigns there (unfortunately), and Intelligence/Strength takes over it, since those give a flat out increase in all your damage (skills and primaries). They're specially more important (turmaline as a gem too) for low spenders and F2P, and new players, after hitting caps for Sapphire.
For casual mob killers its really useless. In pvp willpower and fortitude combo is bread and butter. Inteligence increase your damage and willpower increase your potency and resistance. Also keep in mind your damage and hp (inteligence and vitality) is affected by strife debuff and armor/armor pen/ potency and resistance are not.
Blizzard hates me. (Yes, I know the 40 crest pity) Lololol. Eternal/legendary crests give me crap! Reforge stones waste of time! I did some of these and got decent changes. Just awful how many gates there are on gear!
I am just happy they finally started to give us some good quality of life features. Hopefully, more will come soon, like being able to add sockets to green items or even change one of the main attributes on primary gear.

Help with that. Omg that’s insane

yes
@cloud_zeus thanks. Rather important piece of info thats missing from this post
Yes I can conform.
Primary Gear rank 30.
Secondary Gear rank 20.
Must have all gear to lvl30. I have 3 pieces at 30 and do not have option
@@jenniferm6525 Have you unlocked Inferno 4 yet?
how come I don't see enchant in Blacksmith? is it in certain server available?
Ive been doing this for a good min. I realized you can get almost an extra 2k fort. Havent been able to play much. Still need to grind to 600
I started to do this for all my gear pieces now, So much easier to get upgrades to this way lol
I'm on the latest version of the game and the enchant option does not appear. What gives?

@ I do have six primaries at 30 and six secondaries at 20. Do all have to be maxed?

There is always someone with more CR than you in BG. So having more secondary compare to them will be useful.

@@ronaldmathis8957 +1 to this comment..
Do you unlock enchant at lvl 600? I dont have that option.
That is unlock when your right side armors reach lvl 30
Rank 30 Primary Gear and rank 20 Secondary gear.

Has anyone actually tested whether the CR benefit is really better compared to going all in on fortitude/willpower?
Yes let him do it so he is easier to kill.. no one likes wizards haha

Why willpower? I focus on fortitude/intelligence (not focussing on dot). Willpower is quite useless.
I am wizard, focus on Control and Dots, so willpower, is very useful.

why I don't have enchant setting
Play more, get your lege eq to lvl 30, sets to lvl 20.
