Heidi is going too look brilliant when she's done mate. Your attention too detail for a medium budget restoration is great. Thanks too all the sponsors and Rob the painter. ALSO HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY WISHES MARCUS.
nice work fella !! top tip is don't let the stripper go dry < paint it on and cover it with cling film , let it do its thing then when you roll it back most of the paint stays on the film so less mess
Marcus mate very nice shell and panels. I like your positive approach to your process of this build she will look the muts mate thank you for sharing 👍
i feel you pain , back in the 90s i had sigmas that i spent plenty of time paint stripping and respraying while it was my daily driver and now im doing the same for a 4th time with my nissan pulsar because people keep hitting goldy with their car, suvs and ive done a minor smoothing outs like bonding the plastic handles to the doors but 40grit paper on a orbit sander is your friend
As an alternative to a wire wheel on a drill... have you tried paint 'stripping discs'? You can get them from Frost, Amazon, Toolstation, eBay etc. They do them for angle grinders and drills. Very effective at removing paint and filler without being too abrasive on the metal. Wear a good mask and eye protection though as they make a lot of dust and mess pretty fast 👍🏻
Great job on Heidi mate , couod I suggest trying poly strip wheel discs that fit on your grinder they are a game changer for a job like you are tackling , great on removing paint and rust down to bare metal without harming the metal at all , I used them on mine and will save you loads £ on the sanding discs for sure , keep up the great work and videos marcus 👍🏻👍🏻
@@marcushayesford yea just buy one pack and see what you think your grinder should be the standard size 4.5 inch you will have more control with the grinder and use them flat not on the edge of the poly wheel it will be so much quicker , good luck mate 👍🏻
Any work you make with the intention of making things better is not a waste of time, as you said now you know that the car is solid and you have a good foundation. PS: Happy birthday 🎂
Marcus I just seen the front wing. Where the door shut is.. Black. I think it needs some paint in there before you paint all the car... . Just noticed it before you ended off your. Video..
Well spotted mate. The wings are bolt on so don’t worry. They will be removed and refitted plenty of times when I am getting them to line up correctly. Then they will probably be painted off the car (including the bit you mentioned) 👍

Wire wheel on the grinder is better than the one for the drill, works a lot faster

Got a feeling Heidi will serve you and many others well mate with no mechanical issues
This is a good video when you can see more of the car👍🏻
Thanks Marcus good skills the paint work can make or break a car I thinks that's why it is one of the most difficult things to do on your car. Cheers
All good with me mate. I like seeing all parts of the process. 👍👍

Thanks for the positivity and the recommendation mate! 👍 Im pretty sure I have some of those black wheels but the ones that go on a drill. 👍

Thanks mate! 👍 Cat is way too sensible to waste her money on car parts, but she bought me some awesome presents and made sure I had an amazing day. 👍
Great video ❤
Instead of wire brush on a drill have you tried the paint+rust strippers that attach to an angle grinder? ( they look like melted plastic bags)
Nice one mate , loving the content .!
