It looked like you punched holes in the foil multiple times. That might be confusing for people that have never made a shadow box. You only punch one tiny hole in the center of the aluminum foil.
This works very well, just made one for April 8th 2024 and I can’t wait, I tried it with a lamp and plate. 😊

Did it work? I’m going on a business trip tomorrow but I think there will be time to see it. We’re going to be very close to the totality path and I want to watch it so bad but I don’t have glasses. This shadow box seems easy enough to transport so I’m guessing I’m going to do it but I wanna know if it works.

@@KrillinsolosYaverse it actually did. I had to travel by plane yesterday morning and i couldn’t bring a cereal box so I made this. It worked perfectly. I was even able to take pictures of the image within. I’m sure the image in a longer box would’ve been larger but it still worked perfectly.

A household mirror can also be used to view the eclipse. If you cover a small mirror with a piece of paper or card with a hole in it, it will project a pinhole image of the eclipse onto the far wall.
This is extremely confusing how how do you use this once you've made it ??? So we don't get to SEE the eclipse we can only see the light on the paper? Very very very confusing
Best, easiest, workable, homemade~Hands down! But if you want to really watch it in all its glory, just watch on TV. Watching that small just makes no sense. But out of every video I've watched, this is the one I'd actually make though!

Be so careful, if you hit that wrong you magnify the effects, be sure to cover the whole mirror! I can picture some ppl out there w a bigger mirror😅

It is, but you can hardly see the moon, especially on an annular eclipse. There is just 1% chance to see a ring.
