    I change my oil and both filters every 4000 miles or so; I believe you can never hurt an engine with new oil.

    Good lesson for me last week: I’ve discovered that the dealership has overfilled the sump with almost 1 liter! It proves again that i have to do the oil changes myself 🤷🏻‍♂️

    You can use a big magnet to remove the DCT filter so you don't damage the Oring surface.

    i have the nc750s full clutch system, i use motul 5100 oil, i change every 5k, also like yourself i change my oil out at the begging of the spring if its stood over winter, that way you remove condensation from the oil, i also use genuine filters like yourself, get yourself the filter cap it works well, if you need parts or a good diagram reference guide use fowlers in the UK, its been nice following you guys, ride safe.

    Make sure to mark the Top of the small oil filter cap. It’s easy to put it on the wrong way. And careful when tightening bolts!!!!

    Great job on the initial oil change. I'm curious to know how the engine guard/sliders are working out. Any accidental tip over tests? Strongly considering your model, however there's a set of lower guards made by R-Gaza that also offer good protection for the NC750

    I recently gave my 23 NC750X DCT its first oil & clutch filter change; and I was utterly shocked at how tight the oil filter had been put on, from the factory. Ridiculous 🤦🏻 The O ring seal, must have been squashed flat.

    • @bettertogetheradventures218
      @bettertogetheradventures218  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @leonardalcantara1435 there's a plastic clip that separates by pulling up on one half, then you just pop the wire out. Or you may be able to press in the barbs through the front of the cowl and pop the whole clip out of its mounting hole.

    How do you change the DCT (transmission) fluid? I didn't see you adding any fluid for that after you let some out when you replaced the DCT filter. 🧐

    • @TheDistantEnd
      @TheDistantEnd 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The DCT and engine share oil, there's just a secondary filter for the clutches. That little bit of oil you see dribbling out is just a little bit more leftover from when it was drained.

    I have the exact same bike 2022 model. Don't you void the warranty by doingt his yourself?

    • @bettertogetheradventures218
      @bettertogetheradventures218  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      GREAT QUESTION! I (Ali) was worried about this as well. Page 173 in the Honda owners manual says that doing your own maintenance does not void the warranty. That said, if a part you use causes an issue then that would void it. I'd always use Honda parts and always document the maintenance done as well.

      @@bettertogetheradventures218 I should follow up on this, as the cost at the dealership was quite bigl for the initial 1000km service, then I have two more before the warranty expires. Great bike

    Nice video! Thanks! I just bought the same bike. ... sub'd and T-UP!
    So when I was picking up bike from dealer, they said it has TWO (2) drain plugs since it is DCT. Do you know for sure if it is only 1 drain plug? ... FOR THE OIL motor & transmission.
    ( I know the Honda goldwing after 2018 has three drain plugs.)
    Also I find the ride rather stiff and very. " jar-ing" when hitting certain larger bumps. I am 250 pounds when riding with boots, helmet, and kevlar mesh gear. The bike is rated in owners manual to carry over 400 pounds. WHEN YOU ride to you experience the same. When roads are smooth or little bumps, its is great. SINCE THE shock only has 4.7 inches of travel, maybe there is not enough left to offer cushion... as it were?
    Thoughts please?

    • @bettertogetheradventures218
      @bettertogetheradventures218  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ali here...after some thought this morning, we do not know for sure if there is only 1 drain plug. We will have to look into that some more.
      As far as the ride, she is my second bike so I don't have a lot of comparison, but I'll have to agree that she is a little stiff and the suspension doesn't give much. I have read that is something others complained about as well. That said, I enjoy riding her very much.
