It’s a real shame what the predator line has become… im older now and grew up wearing the Mania, Pulse, Absolute, Powerswerve, and lastly the X (I still wear the X, Powerswerve and sometimes an absolute believe it or not). I figured i would maybe become young and hip, and give these a try. I went to my local store and honestly i put them on and threw up in my mouth. Now im really going to sound like an old man but kids these days don’t really know how good the Predator once was. Then adidas slaps us in the face with remakes and they are wildly expensive and almost next to impossible to get. I would gladly pay full retail for some of these remakes but they sell out instantly. It’s a sad time to be 31 years old and wanting to relive the good predator days when I play in my adult league. Thanks for the reviews though josh.
@@saimj2701 nope you’re not the only one… very very sad times. And honestly, these pieces of plastic everyone is wearing are cheap as can be too. 2010 through 2015 had the best boots come from nike and adidas. The focus was a balance between comfort and traction. Nowadays, it’s about a crazy stud pattern while using less materials. Going for lightweight isn’t always great.

I respectfully disagree with this review. On my feet these boots are amazing. Great lockdown, very comfortable - 2 training sessions in. I’ve always worn size 13 mercurials or tiempos and had them feel slightly big. but in these I could go a size down to 12 and have a perfect fit because of the wide toe box. I think it’s wrong to discredit a pair of boots like this based off a few internet reviewers and Paul pogbas bad experiences. Try them yourself before you rule them out. These are great predators.
Fully agree with your opinion, tried them on in store and the fit was exceptional! The upper didn’t feel as hard as some boot reviewer’s had described it to be in my opinion. Overall, trying them on in person gave me a different perspective on them, and I enjoyed the fit more than the X speedflow.1.
Yes agree, tried them in store and they fit like a glove, will prob buy a pair soon and they were not as stiff as he says, but have they soften up anymore? Or are they a bit stiff like new

out of box they are stiff and not very comfortable but wear after 3 games in them, they are really soft and will eventually take the shape of your foot( took the shape of mine but maybe because i'm wide footed). I saw this before i upgraded but i wanted to give it a chance and after a few games i am not dissatisfied at all. I think josh was too harsh on these Great boots to me and they remind me of my favourite predator 19+

Funny how they reduced the number of spikes from mutator to freak and to make the upper more pliable, but now it's covering almost all the surface area
I love the new Predators I’ve been wearing them for a while now and I love everything about them, this is a great boot over time as the upper loosens up. However I do agree that the forefoot as some very strange unneeded extra hight. Lucky I learned this when I tried them out in store and ended up going with half a size down and it does fit better
I've heard a rumor some pros are visiting shoe repair stores and adding a extra layer of glue to the outside of their boots near the toe box to help prevent separation. Is this something you would suggest or recommend? What are your thoughts?
I just got the Predator Edge+ . My friend want to swap with me with his Predator Freak.1 Pogba X Stella Mccartney. If you were me, would you stay with the Edge+ or swap with the Freak.1 Vegan ?
Ppl think that freaking rubber is a joke, if you got a good power curve, these cleats make you feel like your curve attribute went up by 10. Idk if it actually does but that’s how it feels.
