MSFS | Flow Pro by Parallel 42, and the Custom Widgets YOU NEED! [4K]

- A frequently asked question on EVERY livestream for the last few months has been "What is that Wheel thing on your screen?" and words to that effect... so here it is, Parallel 42 Flow Pro!
It's payware scenery which I paid for myself, and I have no contact with Parallel 42 either sadly, but I wanted to show it to you all to help you work out whether you need it or not... and I reckon you'll want it!

Thanks for the tutorial, one additional thing, could you show me the filters that you use to improve my image like yours on the screen?
I bought the Pro and enjoy it. Speeding up the sim and see the rate you are at is worth the price alone. It really comes in handy when flying the CJ4 with it's unique avionics. The default toolbar always gets in the way when trying to click and change things so the option to turn it off is greatly appreciated. I wish you could put the camera views on a second monitor as it's hard getting around larger cockpits such as airliners. Also, I'm surprised that there is not much widgets made by simmers. That's a disappointment. Example would be toggling Pitot switch off and on when a plane has two switches. Only one will go off and on. Nice product though and I enjoy it.
Yeah for cameras I only use the drone speed wheel but use keybinds for everything else like switching views etc
I was finding it impossible to get Flow Pro to activate. I asked p42 for help and Keven, who I think is their Development Director, gave me incredible support. A very useful tool and it is great to know that p42 is happy to put in the hard work to help when things don't happen the way they should. Nothing wrong with Flow Pro, it was my equipment causing the problem but Keven solved it without drama.
I just have the Essential however I really like it for the camera options, I would love to be able to record gameplay though without said widgets appearing when using drone features however it's probably a difficult thing to do
Very nice explanation for this very good tool. I hope Hans Hartmann see this video too. The missing airfile name does not only influences Flow but even more Aivlasoft EFB. Would be nice to have a correct airfile name for both the addons. Jacob
I was hoping it would be updated asap as a simple fix but it hasn't been. I'll try and contact Hans myself
Nice review. Is it possible to toggle between liveries of the chosen aircraft without going back in the Main Menue? I like how Laminar did it with their UX/UI.
No you can't, personally it's not something I'd ever do anyway as I pick the livery prior to spawning for what I want to fly for that flight/day
Have the latest Flow Pro but i'm not seeing GSX (its supposed to be built in now)?
Is there a setting that you can when you land show the fpm when yes how do i do that
Just use //42 Weather widge. Gives much clearer wind indication and weather also. Cheers for vid.

Good to hear! And yep I've got the first two activated, but no filters - i just leave it default. I do however have the SIM capped via Nvidia control panel to 62fps

is it possible to set a keybind for some features? like elevator trim reset? i dont want to go in circle menu to click on it with mouse, is it possible to bind it on some button?
You can set any key/button/click to any keybinds via the MSFS menu
@@BritishAvgeek yea but thats irrelevant here since keybind for that doesnt exist in msfs. thats why i want to use flow pro for it since it has reset trim elevator
i unzipped the flow essential add on in my community fold but its not showing up in the msfs
Flow Essential or the widgets? I think the widgets only work on Flow Pro

Have you followed the instructions in flow? Pressing tab works for me - always read the instructions first

Cool little mod, but I can't seem to get any user files to show up like you do, and the creator isn't very helpful. His explanation is "the community folder should be here, here, or here. if you can't find it after that, you're stupid and shouldn't bother." Except I have all my other user mods in said community folder and they work fine.....

You don't **need** to do anything as you suggested. It's a request and nothing more - but I'd suggest if me saying as a content creator "please like and subscribe" triggers you then you have far bigger issues going on that you should seek help with.
