I love handbags too. But I found changing bags frequently meant I always left some things behind in the old bag that I needed in the new one! So now I have a mini bag, that is lightweight, and just a touch larger than a makeup bag. So all the essentials go in that, such a keys, lipstick credit cards/cash, pills, etc. When it comes time to switch, I just switch one item. No more missing essentials!

Yes! I have an inside bag that has virtually everything I need, it's extremely organized with pockets, etc for my key items then for a smaller purse I use a certain zippered bag for my most essential items Depending on my size of purse I use either bag and just swap the organizer and wallet.
*They really missed the mark on not mentioning the functions of inner organizing bags.

Yes. I get so annoyed when I like a bag and it has black or multi colored lining. I can not find things easily even though it is organized.
Lovely collection! I bought my first LV when I was 25 and I only used that bag a few times, haha. Also, love your clutch! I have an Eva clutch in the DE print and love the little chain. But I don’t want to spend so much money on it now, I have been *hotdups* buying the bag I want, it is as good as LV and is one of my favorite things. Durability
I think its wrong to have 'rules' as you call it - there are none. Its what each woman is happy with so really I don't like the term rule/mistake or 'you need to or should' ... its fashion...not rules that have to be obeyed. I am obsessed with handbags and love some that you showed.
The term rules is used in fun when it comes to fashion because obviously everyone can wear what they want and what makes them feel their best. However, people tune into these videos because they are looking for advice and suggestions on what to wear and how to wear it so that is what we try to give them. It's a combination of our personal opinions on style and what we see when we research.
Thank you for the great suggestions. I must admit I change my everyday bag seasonally and I use a clutch for evening or special events. I do not have the time to change outfit by outfit. I use a pouch for exercise. It helps me carry the keys and phone. Which then can easily be emptied back into my everyday bag when finished. I always enjoy your content. Thank you.

I don’t change handbags multiple times during the week. I hate doing it because I want all my things with me - medicine, comb, wallet, calendar, phone, lip things. I don’t carry makeup. Once it’s on, it’s on for the day. I have a couple small bags I carry inside my bag. Unless I’m going to a concert, Packers or Brewers or Bucks game, I carry my larger handbag.

The size proportionate to your size is so important. Early last year I was trying to find a nude satchel, I found a Kate spade one, they didn’t have the dimensions listed just SML, I went with a medium, omg it’s tiny! I’m fairly tall and not skinny so it looked totally ridiculous on me. A few months ago I found a nice one from coach, it’s more of a small tote but it’s the right color and size. Looks so much better. The Kate spade one fit everything I wanted to carry but it really did look tiny, I felt like I was a giant holding it lol.
I agree with this except I really don’t like big bags even though they look better on me; I’m a small crossbody gal…the struggle is real😂
I learned years ago to always have a handbag 👜 in your hair color and your outfit will always look cohesive
So interesting! Never thought of it that way but I guess my hair color is pretty close to the nude shades I reach for most.
This is an old fashioned thinking ladies. Our purses are our staple. Girls wear it the way you like its a confidence builder!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello there ladies. I have recently found you and have been watching your back catalogue and have found some wonderful tips. However there does not seem to be any reference at all in any of those videos to shrugs. I am not sure what you call them in the US. Given you live in a warm climate I would have thought they might be popular. Or are they just too old fashioned and no-one wears them anymore over there? In Oz we still wear them to cover upper arms but not add warmth. Mostly too hot for denim jackets, blazers etc. I would love to know you thoughts.
To be honest we don't really see shrugs much at all here in FL. However, this season smaller cardigans are very on trend so I wouldn't be surprised if shrugs came back around as well.

The older I get the more I appreciate handbags. When I was young I had a black one and a white one. Both were cheap and pretty horrible. I just think they can impact your outfit and appearance so much!!!

I need to change my bag. I have a light colored bag I’m using now. I think I’ll switch to my dark brown one. I own black bags, I just don’t find myself using them. I’ve been trying to talk my husband into a designer bag. But so far I’ve had no luck. But I never give up.
If you do decide to invest in a designer bag I highly recommend looking at the pre-loved market. I buy most of my bags that way from an online retailer- Fashionphile.com.
You can see the pictures, the rating of the bag and you have 30 days to return as long as you leave the tags on. I have found that any bag rated very good or above is in great condition. I've been buying and selling with them for years and I've never been disappointed and everything is authenticated so you don't have to worry about fakes.

I love handbags... however. I don't want to change out bags every day. I try to find small neutral bags for each season. If I carry a larger bag, it's too easy to put too much in it, if I keep it small, I don't try to carry too many items. I buy 2 Coach handbags per year. 😉

I’ve been collecting designer bags for years now & I’ve really come to the conclusion that the neutrals will always be a better investment. I always reach for the tan bags.

.... I like using a tote that isn't " dressy ( office type) or too casual ... I keep this with me ,along with my smaller handbag, because.... I like to keep my
" survived stuff " with me, lol. It's a place to store my water bottle, snacks, and travel size things like hair spritz, toothbrush, etc. I've always kept these items with me .... ( once a Girl Scout....well, you know..... lol ! )

What an original topic idea! I loved it! Could you consider doing a video on how to put an outfit together. Pick shoes first? Pick pants first? Choose pieces by color? I always have trouble putting pieces together to make an outfit even though loving the individual pieces is not an issue!

I checked the weather forecast first before I decide what to wear 😄
In winter months, if it's going to be colder than usual, then I start with the top first (thicker sweater) then match the bottom.
For warmer months, I usually go with the bottom first whether I'm in the mood for a skirt, a dress or a shorts and then match it with the top.

Absolutely. You really can carry any color bag in summer but the lighter bags just keep things softer & more summery. A light gray can be a great option.

It is interesting what people cart around in their handbag as well. Some folks carry everything but the kitchen sink. A video on this would be fun too! For me, I have to cart around 2 pair of glasses and a wallet so the bag must be big enough for that regardless of wether it is date night or a day at the beach.

The celebs and rich folk carrying their Birkins and YSL Sac de Jours to the gym are always wearing their workout gear as they head for the gym and they don't need to take anything more with them, as the ultra luxury gyms offer everything from towels to luxury shower and hair care products to hair styling products and tools. So the bag probably, at most, has their workout gloves, a change of pants and socks and that's it. I don't know why they should change all their stuff to a gym bag for that..?

Even though I live in Florida, I only carry my nude bags in summer. This was a fun video! Thanks for your hard work in your research. I adore designer bags but refuse to purchase the ones with the 'not so subtle' initials/name on it. Chanel bags are fabulous and typically subtle.

Spring/summer are the perfect seasons for a yellow handbag and right now brightly colored bags are very on trend. The easiest way to wear it and keep it looking fresh and classic is to style it with neutrals-a white top and jeans would be great or even a gray sweater with white on the bottom would be beautiful with the yellow bag. For shoes go with a tan or nude shade to keep it looking soft and polished. Also, Pinterest is a great resource for getting inspiration. Type in yellow handbag outfits and see what you find.

One tip is to go with neutrals. They tend to be easiest to mix and match.

This is a great subject to discuss. Sometimes I get lazy and don’t switch bags even though I KNOW it’s not matching the activity. I like the suggestion one of the commenters had to carry an inner bag that gets moved when switching handbags. Easy! Thx Christina and Kelli for posting links to handbags to purchase. Great video! I scrolled through every link bc for the last 40 years I generally carried a tote to work. And now that I’m semi retired and WFH I need a smaller bag. I have my eye on two different green bags….one a coach the other fossil. I’m debating whether I should pull the trigger. Thoughts ?
If green is a statement color that you feel you can incorporate with a lot of your outfits then why not. However, I always find the my neutral bags end up being the ones I reach for most so I try to invest in neutrals more than colors with the exception being light pink. For me, light pink works with so many of my pastel and neutral toned looks. If green is your signature color and works with your wardrobe pieces than it's a good color to have.
Love this video, as I am a bag fanatic. I had my eye on the black LV Vavin, but I may need to consider the nude one now 🤔
Black is also a great neutral and works very well if you have a lot of darker colors in your wardrobe. However, nude is easier to pair year round even with lighter colors which is why we think it's a must have.
